I'd make a chance though. 1) make separate shows, similar to defenders, and go through some character development. 2) make the crossovers where necessary 3) have the big crossover at Fantastic Four but don't call it that, call it The Four, then once they've proven their teamwork have it in the end of the final episode, shows up as Fantastic Four. 4) transition into movies with big budgets and stay true to the comics as much as possible.
+Devin Colson What if Marvel got rights back and used Fantastic 4 for the first Stand alone Black Panther movie, like in the comics when he first was created? Focus on Black Panther when he invites them to Wakanda and just make Fantastic Four "villains". After Infinity War let Black Panther fight Ullysses Klaueu in his second movie. I think that might work. Also later Fantastic 4 could be used in Phase 4-5 where main villains would be Doctor Doom and Galactus but just fuse all their stuff with Avengers. I think it's possible to make such thing "seeable". Honestly it would be better to get F4 villains back into the MCU, not the F4 itself.

+Your Local Cinefile Rotten Tomatoes is binary so I go by it because people who understand movies and their concept etc either would recommend to watch it, or not. That's why I like RT over IMBD, I wouldn't go to see a movie under 50% and honestly I've seen movies under that and they suck. And The Gift was 91% and that movie was my second favorite of the summer behind mad max. All good tho!
Chris Evans was actually a pretty good part of that movie. While Ryan Reynolds was horribly miscast in a terrible film. Clooney just didn't fit the role of any superhero at all. Though, I am prepared to be proven wrong.
Mundy fights was great! It's always nice to see all fighters have fun and joke around in a show that can be very serious at times. Now this wouldn't be ideal to have every week but I think every once in a awhile this more laid-back approach can be refreshing. Props to all the fighters who were all very good sports and Mundy who always kept things interesting. Overall great fight, lots of laughs! Nice work Screen Junkies!

It just needs the right direction, script, actors etc. If Marvel get the rights back and introduce the FF in an Avengers film, people may start to have interest in the FF when they get their own movie after. Otherwise, I can't see how enough people would go to an FF movie again for whatever studio who owns the rights to make a good enough profit to be satisfied, if they even get a profit at all.

+Jason Brown wolverine remembers the events so they mean a lot to him and they were very meaningful to show why the xmen had to succeed in the past because the future was so bad. Just because it altered the timeline does not mean that's the only reason it exists it exist because it was a very famous comic and they made it into an awesome story for a film which in the last like few minutes alters the timeline and making the entire universe better moving forward. THIS is what Movie Fights should be every week! This episode was an absolute blast with so much banter and hilarity. Everyone was just chilling out and having a good time. It wasn't being strangleheld by unnecessary rules or serious competitors. They knew exactly what they were doing: having fun talking about movies. Every episode should be like this.

In Deadpool 2 have Deadpool travel back in time to when kimberg was rewriting the script, tell him everything people hated about the first one, and then have him rewrite it with a different cast and as a faithful adaptation, and then that's how the movie is announced.
I think that Scott should have won the first round. His pitch was easily one movie. You show them losing to Galactus in the very beginning and then take the Incredibles route and show a newsreel explaining. Then you jump forward a few years and start your movie.
I would adore that movie - it's still an origin story, which satisfies the masses, but we won't have to waste time on exposition and universe building. Let's make superheroes old again, rather than young eye candy. ...sigh, I really want a good movies fight. I appreciate what we have, but stuff like this has been happening recently in even the "serious" movie fights.
And every one who doesn't know comics, hint everyone these movies actually target, will not know what happened or who galactus is. His pitch was definitely to much to make one good movie. You can't just start the movie with a big villain that already has had next to no screen time and not explain shit. They want to bring in new people. They already know all the comic book nerds are going to watch.
But you don't need to know who Galactus is in the first battle, because the point is to get the F4 humiliated. "They've faced countless baddies before, but this time, something happens. Something goes terribly wrong." It crushes their self esteem, and that's when the central emotional arc of the story gets going. You can start a movie with a bad guy you know nothing about - he'll just get explained later. Though I'm starting to realize that the idea that the F4 just make a critical error that forces them into early retirement is all too similar to the plot of the Incredibles.

I'm hoping Fantanstic Four returns to Marvel and that they get an older cast to play them. Personally, I'd have... Jon Hamm-Mr. Fantastic Elizabeth Banks-Invisible Woman Aaron Paul-Human Torch Nick Offerman (if he bulked up)-The Thing Mads Mikkelsen-Dr. Doom I'd also have it so that Dr. Doom isn't the main villain, but rather a Thanos like figure whose built up over various films. First film should have Namor or the Skrulls instead.
Max Marriott I think it is more likely that the Skrulls will be built up over time (like the Kree are). Dr Doom shouldn't be a major villain though. More of a Magneto type that is just using the Avengers/Fantastic Four for his own agendas. As for Namor... he's not a villain. If Aquaman is a bit hit (like $700M+) then Marvel will probably introduce him in Phase 4.

This episode was pure Mundy chaos and I loved it. I think that the guests were perfect for handling all of the absurdity that is Nick Mundy. This is easily within my top 3 favorite Movie Fights. I would definitely love to see more of this. That being said, I don't want this to show up too often. I think that these should show up about once every 10-15 fights. Keep up the good work, guys. I am very much looking forward to many many more awesome fights in the future.
First time ever I had to stop watching a movie fight in the middle. This fight was boring and senseless. I prefer to see Mundy fight, not judge. He brings a lot of fun to the fights. I do like all the contestants but today the whole thing just didn't work. I may try to watch it again after a couple of days, might be able to get into it.
I agree. But I could sit through it because it was so funny. He is a pretty bad judge based on fairness, but I did like most of his decisions. It was unfair, but I wouldn't say it's unwatchable.
I love normal movie fights, but this is the first one that I actually laughed as if I was sitting in the studio with all of you. Mundy fights was worth it! Wow.
itamar avidan I'm surprised Mantz didn't immediately tell Mundy that the "tacos" are actually just a collection of pills in that movie. Also people weren't stupid and weak, half the reason Snipes (the villain) was so deadly is they gave him combat training while he was frozen (basically implanted memories). Stallone on the other hand was taught how to knit. The point about there being no "sex" in the future was basically positive as well. It prevents the spread of disease and eventually heavy genetic manipulation is going to be absolutely necessary for humanity to survive.

Shazam is an old and outdated character. It brings nothing to the genre that has already dealt with all aspects of a story. The kid element is good, but not too special for a movie itself. Plus, Scott's argument was solid and far better than Hal.
Okay, just have to say, while I agree Belle from Beauty and the Beast is the best Disney princess, Scott did not sell it for me at all. He could have taken down Hal's entire argument by talking about how Belle sacrifices her freedom to save her father (much like Mulan sacrifices herself to the war to save her father) and Belle is not saved by a man! Gaston could have killed the Beast and taken Belle far away from the Enchanted Castle ("rescuing" her as any other Disney movie would have portrayed it), but instead Belle chose to stay away from Gaston, and try to protect the Beast by trying to show how gentle he could be. Beast didn't save her either, because he was the one who needed to be saved from his menacing ways. He didn't want to kill Gaston (he just says "Get out!"), Gaston killed himself! Why? Because Belle helped Beast realize how to stay calmer and more rational, and to give people a chance to be good even if they seem like a monster (because Gaston was the REAL Beast and even when given the chance to get out alive, had to be the man who saved the girl). Man, I love that movie!
Belle saved a broken prince from a curse with kindness, patience, and love. She is determined, strong, and intelligent and certainly a model to look up to... However, Milan stopped the invasion of the Huns. I don't know how much historical background you have on this, but the Huns nearly single-handedly brought an end to the classical era of world history. They ravaged China, went into Europe, scared the Germanic tribes so much they fled into a crumbling Rome, and then Rome fell to what was essentially refugees from a Hun invasion. In short, the Huns are a big deal. Belle saved a man. Mulan saved a country housing more than 2 million people, men women and children. She saved a culture that is centuries old from being demolished by war. She opened a path for women to be more than just honorable wives in Chinese culture. I love them both, but Mulan did A LOT more, whether or not she needed a little help along the way. Besides, I'd rather have a dragon than a teapot any day (*˘︶˘*)

Everyone always wants FF back with Marvel, but have you ever thought that if Marvel does get that back, it'll just be more 'generic Marvel movie # 12143534'? Look at Ant-Man, sure it was decent enough, but that movie didn't stand out much. It felt very generic for what Marvel does and at this point, I have to say, that could actually be a problem going forward. When your movies all start to feel or sound the same, it can start sinking your films, even if they are "fun" to go see.
Marvel films are actually all unique. Guardians is a space opera. Winter Soldier is a spy thriller. Ant man is comedy heist movie. Each of these movies have common elements but they are all unique themes.

Who doesn't wanna watch that? 3. TMNT 2: Half Shell (yes, that's the actual title) - The first one was as dumb as Transformers, possibly worse. Michael Bay needs to stop getting work in franchises-he's already ruined Transformers and his brand of cinema is hurting Hollywood worse than Marvel or DC are. 4. Mulan - She subverted previous Disney Princess stereotypes by becoming a badass warrior, saving China, and not showing a need to be with a dashing prince. 5. An alien misinterprets a signal coming from NASA, and comes to Houston trying to take over the world. Only two astronauts-played by Jason Statham and Nick Mundy-can stop the alien. The climax is even set at Minute Maid Park! 6. Bang Arnold (enjoyable in T2 but got ridiculous by Mr. Freeze), Marry Willis (still had his action hero chops in Die Hard 3 and managed to nail serious subject matter in The Sixth Sense), and Kill Stallone (the Razzies awarded him with Worst Actor of the Decade for "99.5% of everything he's ever done")

The Fantastic Four is now significantly less popular than Spider-Man and Fox's new movie has hurt the brand's name a lot; so there's no reason for Marvel to collaborate with Fox. Even if Marvel did collaborate with Fox, they would reboot the FF, the stink of the new movie could hurt their brand and the continuity wouldn't make sense if the movie was included in their universe. I doubt they would do the origin story again though since doing it again would be tiresome.

Marvel did the deal with Sony because they knew that Spider-man still made a decent amount of money so the alternative would be Sony making more movies, and Spider-man is their mascot. Lets face it guys, Disney only titled her "princess" (she's in the princess line up) because they needed diversity in the group of princesses. But this is MOVIE fights. Mulan was never a princess in the movie.
Scott was nearly robbed a victory, should have won the first 3 easy. 1) He had both an original and realistic pitch no to mention the cast 2) Star Trek doesn't need changes to be the perfect world (plugging into the right person or thawing out the right people) it is already perfect 3) Shazam sounds stupid. Actually, your reasoning could be used to show exactly why a Shazam movie needs to be made. 1) It introduces a new audience to the character and brings variety to a genre of film that is getting stale and using the same characters over and over 2) Some of marvels most successful movies have been characters people are unfamiliar with like Guardians of the Galaxy, Antman, and Iron Man (believe it or not Iron wasn't super popular or recognizable until Iron Man came out in 2007.).

MichaelKlump I hear ya. While I like shazam but im not super into him. And yeah dc has been fucking up a lot. and it is frustrating to watch. I was just explaining why a shazam movie could work. In the right hands, he could be a surprise hit because some of marvel's corniest ideas have turned into multi million dollar movies, and dc could do the same. But at the same time, dc would probably try to make it super serious and emo because they didn't realize the dark knight trilogy only worked because it was batman, not because all super hero movies need to be like that.

I try not to be negative and hope for the best with these two movies and the movies onward from dc, but I understand your frustration batman v superman in particular pisses me off and I have no idea why people are convinced that will be good. Not a fan of this episode. Mundy was way too biased. Doesn't know Star Trek so insults it and lets 'taco's' win because of his personal food preference? That's a pretty weak reason. Smack talking Fantastic 4 (2015) even without seeing it. Sure we know it's bad, but having a hollow claim just because everyone else says it's bad is terrible.
This was probably the worst episode yet. I get that this show panders to Dwayne Johnson, but did anyone enjoy the questions and sucking up to Mundy? There is no skill, knowledge or merit in just needing to suck up to Mundy. Seriously the Mundy cop question was just difficult to listen to with how absurd it was, especially with all three of them crawling over each to suck up the most. There was also his completely arbitrary arguments, no understanding what he based it on and clearly favouring friends. Andy is not perfect, but my god I think Andy is an incredible judge compared to Mundy. I will unsubscribe if another episode like this happens again.
FeNite8 Um I think they did that so people know that Thanos will be the focus of both movies and when the plot doesn't resolve at the end of Infinity War part 1 we shouldn't flip out. There are like 12 comics that they are going to have to cover in those films and it will be too much for 1 film. My only issue is that they called them the Infinity Wars when it's going to be Thanos' Quest and Infinity Gauntlet that they are actually adapting. Infinity Wars happens after those comics.
Observer Alternative My guess is that Part 1 is Thanos' Quest where he collects the stones. Then Part 2 is Infinity Gauntlet where he takes on every character in the universe. The two stories are self contained but one directly links to the other. A bit like Star Wars Eps 5 + 6.

I had to stop watching after the which superhero movie should they drop because Nick is absolutely ridiculous. God forbid anybody say ANYTHING bad about The Rock. Don't they normally fact check before they announce the winner? Nick has ALWAYS rubbed me the wrong way because he's a hipster. In any other Movie Fight he always tries to go against the popular answer and his arguments all always bullshit.

1) make separate shows, similar to defenders, and go through some character development.
2) make the crossovers where necessary
3) have the big crossover at Fantastic Four but don't call it that, call it The Four, then once they've proven their teamwork have it in the end of the final episode, shows up as Fantastic Four.
4) transition into movies with big budgets and stay true to the comics as much as possible.
+Devin Colson What if Marvel got rights back and used Fantastic 4 for the first Stand alone Black Panther movie, like in the comics when he first was created? Focus on Black Panther when he invites them to Wakanda and just make Fantastic Four "villains". After Infinity War let Black Panther fight Ullysses Klaueu in his second movie. I think that might work. Also later Fantastic 4 could be used in Phase 4-5 where main villains would be Doctor Doom and Galactus but just fuse all their stuff with Avengers. I think it's possible to make such thing "seeable". Honestly it would be better to get F4 villains back into the MCU, not the F4 itself.

While he's digging security footage he gets to know that the guy who blew up the studios is no one but Jai Courtney himself! And at that moment he recieves an e-mail from Jai Courtney. He says he's going to take revenge from Nick because of his criticism for A Good Day to Die Hard and him by making a new Die Hard movie and making Dilara play his girl friend in the movie! Facing his worst nightmares simultaneously, Nick comes to a conclusion: He has to stop him, stop that movie and take his girl back with the help of his best friend: THE ROCK!

Chris Evans was actually a pretty good part of that movie. While Ryan Reynolds was horribly miscast in a terrible film. Clooney just didn't fit the role of any superhero at all. Though, I am prepared to be proven wrong.
Mundy fights was great! It's always nice to see all fighters have fun and joke around in a show that can be very serious at times. Now this wouldn't be ideal to have every week but I think every once in a awhile this more laid-back approach can be refreshing. Props to all the fighters who were all very good sports and Mundy who always kept things interesting. Overall great fight, lots of laughs! Nice work Screen Junkies!

THIS is what Movie Fights should be every week! This episode was an absolute blast with so much banter and hilarity. Everyone was just chilling out and having a good time. It wasn't being strangleheld by unnecessary rules or serious competitors. They knew exactly what they were doing: having fun talking about movies. Every episode should be like this.

I think that Scott should have won the first round. His pitch was easily one movie. You show them losing to Galactus in the very beginning and then take the Incredibles route and show a newsreel explaining. Then you jump forward a few years and start your movie.

And every one who doesn't know comics, hint everyone these movies actually target, will not know what happened or who galactus is. His pitch was definitely to much to make one good movie. You can't just start the movie with a big villain that already has had next to no screen time and not explain shit. They want to bring in new people. They already know all the comic book nerds are going to watch.
But you don't need to know who Galactus is in the first battle, because the point is to get the F4 humiliated. "They've faced countless baddies before, but this time, something happens. Something goes terribly wrong." It crushes their self esteem, and that's when the central emotional arc of the story gets going.
You can start a movie with a bad guy you know nothing about - he'll just get explained later.
Though I'm starting to realize that the idea that the F4 just make a critical error that forces them into early retirement is all too similar to the plot of the Incredibles.

More of a Magneto type that is just using the Avengers/Fantastic Four for his own agendas. As for Namor... he's not a villain. If Aquaman is a bit hit (like $700M+) then Marvel will probably introduce him in Phase 4.

This episode was pure Mundy chaos and I loved it. I think that the guests were perfect for handling all of the absurdity that is Nick Mundy. This is easily within my top 3 favorite Movie Fights. I would definitely love to see more of this. That being said, I don't want this to show up too often. I think that these should show up about once every 10-15 fights. Keep up the good work, guys. I am very much looking forward to many many more awesome fights in the future.

First time ever I had to stop watching a movie fight in the middle. This fight was boring and senseless. I prefer to see Mundy fight, not judge. He brings a lot of fun to the fights. I do like all the contestants but today the whole thing just didn't work. I may try to watch it again after a couple of days, might be able to get into it.

I'm surprised Mantz didn't immediately tell Mundy that the "tacos" are actually just a collection of pills in that movie.
Also people weren't stupid and weak, half the reason Snipes (the villain) was so deadly is they gave him combat training while he was frozen (basically implanted memories). Stallone on the other hand was taught how to knit.
The point about there being no "sex" in the future was basically positive as well. It prevents the spread of disease and eventually heavy genetic manipulation is going to be absolutely necessary for humanity to survive.

Shazam is an old and outdated character. It brings nothing to the genre that has already dealt with all aspects of a story. The kid element is good, but not too special for a movie itself. Plus, Scott's argument was solid and far better than Hal.
The atmosphere in this episode was IMO the funnest it has been in a long time. This was great to watch.

Okay, just have to say, while I agree Belle from Beauty and the Beast is the best Disney princess, Scott did not sell it for me at all. He could have taken down Hal's entire argument by talking about how Belle sacrifices her freedom to save her father (much like Mulan sacrifices herself to the war to save her father) and Belle is not saved by a man! Gaston could have killed the Beast and taken Belle far away from the Enchanted Castle ("rescuing" her as any other Disney movie would have portrayed it), but instead Belle chose to stay away from Gaston, and try to protect the Beast by trying to show how gentle he could be. Beast didn't save her either, because he was the one who needed to be saved from his menacing ways. He didn't want to kill Gaston (he just says "Get out!"), Gaston killed himself! Why? Because Belle helped Beast realize how to stay calmer and more rational, and to give people a chance to be good even if they seem like a monster (because Gaston was the REAL Beast and even when given the chance to get out alive, had to be the man who saved the girl). Man, I love that movie!
Belle saved a broken prince from a curse with kindness, patience, and love. She is determined, strong, and intelligent and certainly a model to look up to... However, Milan stopped the invasion of the Huns. I don't know how much historical background you have on this, but the Huns nearly single-handedly brought an end to the classical era of world history. They ravaged China, went into Europe, scared the Germanic tribes so much they fled into a crumbling Rome, and then Rome fell to what was essentially refugees from a Hun invasion. In short, the Huns are a big deal. Belle saved a man. Mulan saved a country housing more than 2 million people, men women and children. She saved a culture that is centuries old from being demolished by war. She opened a path for women to be more than just honorable wives in Chinese culture. I love them both, but Mulan did A LOT more, whether or not she needed a little help along the way. Besides, I'd rather have a dragon than a teapot any day (*˘︶˘*)

Everyone always wants FF back with Marvel, but have you ever thought that if Marvel does get that back, it'll just be more 'generic Marvel movie # 12143534'? Look at Ant-Man, sure it was decent enough, but that movie didn't stand out much. It felt very generic for what Marvel does and at this point, I have to say, that could actually be a problem going forward. When your movies all start to feel or sound the same, it can start sinking your films, even if they are "fun" to go see.
FF is supposed to be light and fun
Marvel films are actually all unique. Guardians is a space opera. Winter Soldier is a spy thriller. Ant man is comedy heist movie. Each of these movies have common elements but they are all unique themes.

3. TMNT 2: Half Shell (yes, that's the actual title) - The first one was as dumb as Transformers, possibly worse. Michael Bay needs to stop getting work in franchises-he's already ruined Transformers and his brand of cinema is hurting Hollywood worse than Marvel or DC are.
4. Mulan - She subverted previous Disney Princess stereotypes by becoming a badass warrior, saving China, and not showing a need to be with a dashing prince.
5. An alien misinterprets a signal coming from NASA, and comes to Houston trying to take over the world. Only two astronauts-played by Jason Statham and Nick Mundy-can stop the alien. The climax is even set at Minute Maid Park!
6. Bang Arnold (enjoyable in T2 but got ridiculous by Mr. Freeze), Marry Willis (still had his action hero chops in Die Hard 3 and managed to nail serious subject matter in The Sixth Sense), and Kill Stallone (the Razzies awarded him with Worst Actor of the Decade for "99.5% of everything he's ever done")
+Benjamin Abramowitz Marvel would never make a deal with Fox, they wanted Spider-Man because he's Marvel's mascot, they didn't even need him, they were doing fine by themselves. The Fantastic Four is now significantly less popular than Spider-Man and Fox's new movie has hurt the brand's name a lot; so there's no reason for Marvel to collaborate with Fox. Even if Marvel did collaborate with Fox, they would reboot the FF, the stink of the new movie could hurt their brand and the continuity wouldn't make sense if the movie was included in their universe. I doubt they would do the origin story again though since doing it again would be tiresome.
Benjamin Abramowitz Number 1 won't happen. Marvel did the deal with Sony because they knew that Spider-man still made a decent amount of money so the alternative would be Sony making more movies, and Spider-man is their mascot. With the F4, Marvel will lean back and watch Fox struggle until they either sell the rights back for a reasonable price or let them lapse.

When it started I was not on board with this fight. I thought it was unprofessional, silly, frustrating, and cringe worthy. By the end I was laughing, cheering, and looking forward to the next Mundy Fight. Good job, guys.

It just needs the right direction, script, actors etc. If Marvel get the rights back and introduce the FF in an Avengers film, people may start to have interest in the FF when they get their own movie after. Otherwise, I can't see how enough people would go to an FF movie again for whatever studio who owns the rights to make a good enough profit to be satisfied, if they even get a profit at all.

+Gabriel Hall Shazam is very popular amongst comic fans actually. Actually, your reasoning could be used to show exactly why a Shazam movie needs to be made. 1) It introduces a new audience to the character and brings variety to a genre of film that is getting stale and using the same characters over and over 2) Some of marvels most successful movies have been characters people are unfamiliar with like Guardians of the Galaxy, Antman, and Iron Man (believe it or not Iron wasn't super popular or recognizable until Iron Man came out in 2007.).

I hear ya. While I like shazam but im not super into him. And yeah dc has been fucking up a lot. and it is frustrating to watch. I was just explaining why a shazam movie could work. In the right hands, he could be a surprise hit because some of marvel's corniest ideas have turned into multi million dollar movies, and dc could do the same. But at the same time, dc would probably try to make it super serious and emo because they didn't realize the dark knight trilogy only worked because it was batman, not because all super hero movies need to be like that.

Unfortunately too many people are on board with batman v superman and suicide squad for me to think a reboot is coming anytime soon. I try not to be negative and hope for the best with these two movies and the movies onward from dc, but I understand your frustration batman v superman in particular pisses me off and I have no idea why people are convinced that will be good. Not a fan of this episode. Mundy was way too biased. Doesn't know Star Trek so insults it and lets 'taco's' win because of his personal food preference? That's a pretty weak reason.

This was probably the worst episode yet. I get that this show panders to Dwayne Johnson, but did anyone enjoy the questions and sucking up to Mundy? There is no skill, knowledge or merit in just needing to suck up to Mundy. Seriously the Mundy cop question was just difficult to listen to with how absurd it was, especially with all three of them crawling over each to suck up the most. There was also his completely arbitrary arguments, no understanding what he based it on and clearly favouring friends. Andy is not perfect, but my god I think Andy is an incredible judge compared to Mundy. I will unsubscribe if another episode like this happens again.

FeNite8 Um I think they did that so people know that Thanos will be the focus of both movies and when the plot doesn't resolve at the end of Infinity War part 1 we shouldn't flip out. There are like 12 comics that they are going to have to cover in those films and it will be too much for 1 film. My only issue is that they called them the Infinity Wars when it's going to be Thanos' Quest and Infinity Gauntlet that they are actually adapting. Infinity Wars happens after those comics.

Observer Alternative My guess is that Part 1 is Thanos' Quest where he collects the stones. Then Part 2 is Infinity Gauntlet where he takes on every character in the universe. The two stories are self contained but one directly links to the other. A bit like Star Wars Eps 5 + 6.
