Getting the couch's opinion was worthless, they clearly didn't want Dan to win, that final round should have gone to Dan and yet the couch basically invented arguments to prevent that. Next time Andy should just make the rulings, cause the bias was ridiculous there.

After listening to the whole program, Round 4 was total bollocks. Andy rejecting Spencer's argument because Spencer is making a moral/political argument is all well and fine, but Hal and JT also made political/moral arguments. The question should have been thrown out.

Spencer's Jenny McCarthy argument was valid. Mike's Truman Show idea was the best. Alicia was great, like always
+drpunish Can't agree, especially since all three seems to misunderstand what the Truman Show is really about. Its not about reality TV but meant to be a metaphor of our relationship between us and god and what would we do once God finally shows up. Truman represents mankind while the producer is God. Movie plot - Truman show is set in a prefect world where everything happens according to the plans of the producer . However Truman starts to notice there's something wrong with this world and start to seek out answers and has he get closer to the dome's edge, the producer got angry and sends tidal waves at Truman which almost kills him . Once Truman discovers his world is but false, the producer reveals himself as a disembodied voice in the sky and Truman asks "who are you", "who am I", "why am I here" and the producer provides Truman with an unsatisfying answer and also a choice, stay and be a puppet or leave and risk the unknown, and then Truman turns his back on the producer and venture into the unknown. Now replace Truman with Mankind, producer with God, than maybe you will see this is not about reality TV, and is one of the best Atheist movie imo.

for me "what actor would you want to punch in the face" means for choices made on the JOB (either on screen/back stage/promoting movies) or as their ACTING career. (because MOVIE FIGHTS focuses everything through the movie/cinema/acting lens)
Hal, JTE and Spencer would have more valid arguments if the question was "which celebrity would you want to punch in the face" because their arguments were largely centered around beliefs/life choices not around being an actor/acting choices. (which made it easy for dan to use the justice system and verdicts to weaken their arguments)
Plus, it's obviously a tongue-in-cheek question; it makes sense to give a tongue-in-cheek answer. Otherwise it's just uncomfortable (which it ended up being). Dan had the right angle on the question.
50:07 Is pure bullcrap. The question did not require any movies to be named, Spencer was not given enough time to think, Andy brought up that point instead of the other competitors, and two of the competitors eventually made the same arguments as Spencer anyway.

The way Spencer was kicked out was absolute bullshit. in all honesty it's fine if you want to leave "politics" out of this but when talking about which actor deserves a punch in the face you have to delve into who they are and what the represent as a person, not just their quality of films. I love this show, but I have to say I feel a little betrayed (no I'm not doing that weird thing whwre a fan thinks they own a property and can influence how it operates) in that in an attempt to not stir the pot Spencer was removed in an unfair and just nonsensical way. I think Dan should have been out on the Superhero for a Year fight. He repeated himself too much and made a poor argument. Andy even said before final arguments " both of you better go after JTE" and neither of them mentioned Flash Gordon in their finals. Dan even handed it away saying that was a great choice. Then JTE loses? Andy's scared of Dan flat out.
The Rule of Two but JTE didn't make a good argument tho. Dan made the Better argument of being a billionaire Philanthropist rather than JTE who only said "I get to be a quarterback."

Dan barely argued anything for Prometheus. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying the game is rigged. Honestly I think the set up is too flawed to take the results seriously. +Tate Hildyard Nrton wanted to be in Avengers but Kevin Fiege publicly said he fired Norton because he was difficult. His roles in Moonrise and Budapest were barely cameo roles. In the 6 years between Hulk and Birdman he was in bad movies like Stone and Bourne Legacy, plus a few others.

ROUND 4 - If you could punch one actor in the face, who would it be? Where in this question does it say "based on their movie credentials"? The question was which "actor" would you like to punch and all 4 were good choices, McCarthy, OJ, and Cosby were great because they are reprehensible moral people, and Norton was a good choice because of the stance Dan took which is "sometimes you have to knock some sense into someone to help them". With all that being said the who point of this show is to judge based on the "ARGUMENT" no the judges opinion. Taking Spence out just because he blanked on her movies when the question had nothing to do with her movies was a "WTF" moment and made no sense.
The way Spencer was just thrown out deserved a dislike. Otherwise, I liked this fight a lot, but that just didn't make sense

Sorry Andy, I'm kinda against you for that whole "punching actor in the face" question. You weren't clear on whether that question was about the actor as a whole person or if it was about their acting choices, hence those people not able to fight their choices properly. You need to be judged, judge.
Also WTF at Spencer being disqualified and then letting JT and Hal stay with a similar response. Besides Spencer's choice for Mystique was much, much better than Dan's even if it was morally questionable.
I hope that someday I have someone in my life who looks at me the way Mantz looks at Dan
I like Dan a lot and think he is the most knowledgeable person on the show. That being said, some of his choices on this episode were poor. The bias with Andy is almost painfully obvious when it comes to Dan, even when he becomes defensive by starting off with his judgements "now i'm not trying to defend dan...not trying to be bias here...etc".
Like I said before, I really like Dan and most of the time I am rooting for him, but this favoritism is making the show less entertaining and you could see the frustration in the contestants' faces at times even if they try to hide it.
And enough with the comic book stuff. I bet if you took into account the actual percentage of movies that are based on comic books, it would be minuscule in the world of cinema, yet it is the majority when it comes to airtime on Screen Junkies.

I actually think Scott Mantz should have won round 2. I dont agree that Arnold shouldve been Rocky. I think thatll always be Sly's role. But they always say "its based on the arguments" on this show, and Scott is the only one who really argued. at least he had reasons to back up his answer! Dan and JT just sat there going "What?! No! Rocky is Rocky! You can't change Rocky! That would make it worse! Blahblahblah!" like ok why or how would it make it worse? actually go into detail. I think Marc might have a hearing problem because after all this time he still doesn't realise that the rounds should be decided on the argument and not his personal preference.
Keep Joe Starr as the fact checker. Possibly the best fact checker ever who brought up relevant and helpful points while also being entertaining and was able to spit everything out quickly and clearly.
Also, it's clear from the comment section that Andy's motives to keep Dan in the game is extremely transparent. Dan used to be one of my favorite fighters, and he probably still is, but that happened because he earned his spot as the best fighter. He's smart, has good ideas, and backs up his ideas with arguments that make sense, but it makes it less appealing when Andy puts effort into keeping Dan's reputation up there by leaning his way. Also, in recent Movie Fights, Dan gets pretty condescending sometimes when people don't agree with him. True greatness is shown by humility, not pride, Dan.
Finally, it was cool seeing all those people together and was entertaining whenever the camera cut back to the couch, but overall, I like the normal format of Movie Fights more than Last Man Standing. Especially if all the other fighters had choices and prepared for all the other rounds, but we didn't get to hear their picks and arguments.

If you genuinely think that Dan makes the best arguments every single round, then you probably have a biased point of view without realizing it. And Alicia did make the point, which everyone clearly heard except for Andy, because he obviously wanted to give Dan the point.

Dan never should have made it to the finals. He's totally Andy's boy. I like Dan, don't get me wrong, but his should have been knocked out 1 or 2 times before the final. Andy gives him a pass, and I think the fans are getting wise.

Lol Andy has a crush on Dan. He had really weak arguments for multiple questions. The Truman show would of been a better remake than both - also Mystique crushed Iron Man. Should of gone in both of those.
That fact checker was really good at his job. Should get him full-time.
This was awful - Dan stayed on way too long. Andy's judging was a disaster. I can only reiterate what others have been saying about that Edward Norton answer which is btw just a rumour put forth by Marvel who are well known for being quite a malicious and spiteful cooperation in the face of adversity.
How did Hal get kicked off after that Rocky answer, in my opinion, he's the only one that first and foremost fully understood the question. 'Which character should get its own lego movie?', not Dan's 'Which character should get it's own lego play-set?'. Hal understood that a running theme of lego movies is taking franchises that possibly take themselves a little too seriously and ripping them apart. What was this crap Dan was spouting about an inception play-set..? That wasn't part of the question. Nothing against Dan or Andy, but maybe we should get a different judge on board. A Rocky lego movie sounds hilarious.

I don't think Dan brought that much to the table in the Lego round tbh. So it was between Mike and Hal according to me:)
Dan pointed out that Lego is based on imagination and creative possibilities; of all the choices Hal's seemed to have the least creative possibilities.
I can't bother to finish the fight. Sandy was biased towards Dan, as he is the fan favourite. Dan should have been out science round ONE.

I honestly think Dan had probably the weakest argument for rounds 3 - 6? Like... seriously. Despite a unanimous decision for Alicia, Andy was still on the fence at the end... wtf?
As much as I love Movie Fights, I think its time they rotated the judge. Get the judge to bring their own questions, based on their particular excitement of franchises/movies/actors etc. Then it would really be all about "the passion and creativity". Imagine Mike hosting where all the questions are about crazy thing he thought of today? Or Hals Icon-athon? Or Scotts Trivia? Or pitching endless Action movies to Nick?
And not to hate on Andy or nothing, but I think he'd be better as a participant as well.

Jennie McCarty was in Scary Movie, Dirty Love and John Tucker Must Die, she should have counted, and to change who won the last fight based on their answer to the next fight is a new low. I am very disappointed Andy, very disappointed. You have fact checkers who could have verified she in fact has been in movies.

I think the final fight proves that maybe Andy is not the best judge. He misses points and he gets hung up on ideas too often. If you look thru the history of Movie Fights you will also notice that the last person to talk most often wins when Andy is judging. Not that there is any science to this, but I feel that Andy is not so much biased toward certain fighters but toward certain fighting styles. Dan just happens to know how to get Andy to listen to his points better.

Dan is just smart enough to provide answers he knows andy will like and also says them in a way that andy can easily understand. And you're so right about him favoring whoever goes last haha.

I don't know about you, but from the 10 episodes I've seen of TV Fights, I like Roxy better as a judge. While I wish she would go more into why she chose her answer, I don't think I've ever disagreed with her decisions.
DanMurrell is a beast at movie fights. I think the couch just overwhelmingly went with Aclica because they've all got their asses handed to them by Dan at some point.

Dan shouldn't have even made the final. Plus i don't get how he starts off saying i don't want an advantage, then uses that advantage he was given twice!! No one else got offered that... Who cares if he was the most voted for

+fire2box I think it's actually that they heard 'Ex Machina' and all went 'that movie was great' - two or three of them said that what swayed them was the Ex Machina comparison. I think Alicia/Carlson was the speed round we deserved, but not for the reasons the panel gave. Based on the arguments, I still have no idea why Prometheus would be good apart from that 'it would be like the first one' - the other two provided a reason for their film to exist. That takes nothing away from Dan, who's great.
Chris Cousens It would be more like the first one, it'd not be up itself, and it'd be a direct prequel with some interesting ideas put in.
I think Dan and Alicia both had the better arguments there.
You replaced Spencer, an awesome fighter, with JTE, a sub par fighter who just gets too upset whenever he might not agree with someone's choice? Spencer is so much more calm and level headed in making his arguments. This isn't right.

I think Dan should have lost in round 3. He just starts getting all upset when someone has a good argument against his stance
+ClappingSnakes Spencer's argument against Dan in round 3 was, "You don't want to be Iron Man, Tony Stark has demons." When confronted with the fact that she has demons too, his response was basically, "Well I'm going to be a grey-area version of Mystique so her demons don't count." I don't think Dan should have won as far as he did, but round 3 isn't where he lost it.
I think Spencer Gilbert was put on the spot.. That was really stupid of Andy to kick him off, like he knew she was an actress just give him that, if he couldn't remember one of her god awful shitty movies in the two seconds he was given it's NOT his fault. That was just so stupid. #SIGNORESUCKS

yea he's by far my favourite from screen junkies, and I know right he was just sitting there smiling the whole time haha, I still think he was short-handed but at least he's okay with it!

Its kind of weird how you disqualified Spencer for taking a stand against someone who is doing something wrong outside of movies, (and also is bad in movies) and still let others do the same. This is like the montreal screw job, but in movie fights.
Andy wanted Dan to win sooooo bad at the end, tried reverse the unanimous vote, said he was 'frustrated' that she did, and claimed to not hear a point everyone loved.
Amazing seeing Andy so desperately rooting' for a Dan's victory. Defending him on the last question and giving the win to Alicia against his will. He even ask de fact-check guy (only in this question) just to trying to justify a victory for Dan who is a great fighter but he CLEARLY didn't deserve the final win. Don't get me wrong ,i think Andy does a terrific job as judge and its a very hard task but his attitude on this episode was so unfair and parcializad.
+Alejandro Carrillo I disagree. I think his overruling of the others made sense as other people didn't seem to be basing on the arguments and I don't think the poll people ever base on the arguments.
Regarding that last one though, I don't think that was about keeping Dan is as much as the fact that he just has a thing (that I disagree with) about discrediting people if they didn't bring something up, as opposed to just looking at what they did bring up.
