+RidingWithTom you're going to love that Tubliss setup in the sand. I would recommend running less than 5 psi in that soft stuff, maybe even 0 if your tire can take it with your loadout. If you have never done this before...prepare for a world of difference. All else being equal, this should make the Simpson crossing much easier for you this time around. Tell your mate with the husky to take 3 pan head screws and a few flat washers. The Nuda uses the same radiator as the Terra 650 and if the thermostat fails, it fails in a closed position. Not good when you're trekking through 30+c weather up north.
If you haven't booked your site at lawn hill yet I'd recommend camping at Adels Grove just before you get there. Personally it's a much nicer area to actually camp, especially if the gorge itself hasn't seen much rain for a while. Also if you have time hiring canoes and taking them right up as far as you can is well worth it. Have fun boys, im jealous :)

I live on Melbourne, have previously ridden my wr250r 8000km in 2 weeks (Melbourne to adelaide, alice, Katherine, Kununurra, Kimberly, oodnadatta track, Flinders ranges etc). I'm not currently working, just seriously thinking of jumping on the bike man.

I've popped a bladder on a tubliss before. I'd bring a 21" tube just in case you have to stuff it in the front or back if you pop a bladder.
