I didn't take spare levers. Broke the clutch lever on day 2 and had to do the remaining desert section and 4000 km back home with the broken lever. Very, Very inconvenient. Should have had barkbusters.
Your 690 doesn't have electric and kick start like many desert crossing bikes, so if you charge your stuff at night be careful not to run your battery dead because you will be pushing and push starting is very difficult in the sand. The tire just wants to lock up and drag.
FailsAndFights Most people don't charge anything over night, they only charge while riding. Also, hopefully one of them has jumpers, should on a trip like this!

Comprehensive tool/spares kit, tire pump and rolls of gaffe tape shared out amongst all bikes is paramount. Considering you'll need 4-5000 Kcal of food per day, Id say you've got more weight to add. But well done on you camping gear, cloths weight, as long as you've trailed it all, should be a life changing adventure. Good luck.
