True Friend chests contain items like the gas room, bolts n nuts, half used smelly pants, etc
Thats so extremely cumbersome! They should forget about ranks entirely and have dogs be able to come with you from the Get-go!

I got 2 dogs even though I am kinda new. I'm done building my dog crate, their food last for 11h 7 min and they will grow up in that much time too. It is a coincidence I Guess. Thanks for the video.

The chance to get a dog is so low. There is no guarantee of getting a dog in a particular zone. I'm sorry, but by farming we can never catch up to people paying to get everything. Farming like crazy just to get a small thing in the game. Fairly disappointed.

Sreejit Nandi u r right...I am grinding from one week to get nothing but a small base, very tiny bit of weapons and still I find it very hard to clear red zones because of lack of melee weapons. And others just purchase most of the thing and reach level 80 in one week with military level base and resources.
Angelic Asysnila you have to be very patient. to explore red zone safetly you need the raid armor, which you can make it easily with steel plate, leather and thick fabric.
for mele weapon, i suggest use the butcher knife. its very cheap, fast and deadly. 20 plank woods, 20 iron bar and 20 leathers, you can make 4! also the crowbar its good too and cheap.
just beware the big one, and the infected wolf. also ai with firearm.

Guys, I mean just imagine if it would be east to get dogs. No one would have to ry anymore, and it wouldn't be as rewarding to find one. Heck, I am only lvl 12 and I have 2 puppies.

fight with u? no true friend trait doesnt make it fight, it just move along you but help at spots where you need them to unlock the crates that you cant reach i.e 2 or 3 such crates in game
Hmm... if me luck is just like the gas tank it's safe to say that a dog with true friend is just like another gas tank.

David Phillips the puppies are at forests,if you go to a level 1 forest a puppy will come running at you,you grab him and put automatically him inside a box and then you need to make the Dog Habitat or idk the name

The hunter skill makes me think of the time I found a fox in the green zone

Dude, I just find out that you can stash your items in some places at your base. But that I would not mention here, because it could get updated. You can stash any item (guns, materials, resources etc.) Lets just say that in a raid, you don't mind about those objects. And for now I think, those are the safest places to keep your most valuable items. Like so JCF can see pls. Great video btw!

the answer is 8 ... cross 4 lvl 2 ,cross 2 lvl 3 , cross 1 lvl 4 ... use clear data to controll dog gender

I wish they would make a couple of interactions with your dogs. It would be so cool. Or at least give them things to interact with like a ball or a food bowl with water.
Level one: you get one puppy in the green forest
Level ten: two puppy’s by an event that will pop up
Level twenty: one puppy by attacking a bear from an event
I haven’t made it to the next levels because I keep on getting kicked out of my account for some reason but I was about to be level 30

One thing just because u inherit traits doesn’t mean they will have the same % of the traits inherited. Sometimes yes but I just did it with a bloodhound the rate weapons trait and went from 3% to 2% and bred again and 5%

personally i dont like hows dogs go up the rank to my knowledge true friend is even harder than finding gas tank and in my opion it should be like we first pet the dog then we should be able to take him to the zones but he wouldnt fight after sometime seeing us fight the dog will start fighting zombies and after that we will get the true friend skill and the dog will help in bunker

Dealer offer for a puppy. 1- steel plate 5 - aluminum bars 3- filters 1 - electric circuit. Thought that was way to high a cost for a puppy. I've been receiving 2 dogs a day . 2 airdrops / 1 green zone / 1 at the base with healer. Good luck all.

You can make your game run better by going to dev options and limiting the max background prosseses to 4 and enabling 4xmsaa. To turn on dev options go to device setting and tap build number 7 times

Constructive feedback on dogs:
1) the breeding idea unexpected but closely looking at it I have to say that it is not bad one. Working towards the good pet that you can take with you. So I have to call it was a good move on this.
2) The feeding. This one need improvement. Pointing back to point 1. You want us to collect and breed dogs.... that require a lot of dogs to achieve this... but the system currently in place can’t support such amount of dogs in base.... there is simply not enough supply of food in the areas to maintain the pack of dogs. So tweak it use of it... or tweak supply in the zones.
3) This one most important. Limit of damage dog can do on the journey with you. Let’s be honest devs... by limiting this feature it completely defeat the reason to have actually the dog.
Now I understand the concerns about exploiting dogs by doing all the damage instead of you self fighting and it is good concern!
But you can avoid this. Instead of limiting damage you need to make dog only assist you once you are self actively engaged in combat.
a) hand/melee weapon combat
b) using firearms
If you apply the code that dog only assist you on target you currently engaged in combat with and disengage once you go idle or start walking/running from the ai/zombie/wild it also stop attacking it and start moving or go idle like us self.
With this feature you can easily prevent dogs being exploited by running around and let them do kills/ damage.
Otherwise the whole idea with limited dog damage is simply not worth it and large part of players won’t bother with them at all.
So please reconsider the things described above!

I got three puppy’s with out buying. It only took me a week to get them it easy.
Fuerza, how much time does it take for puppies to run over to the player? Is it like the first time, 15-20 seconds? If so, one could just store a lot of food and water in bunker bravo, take a pair of swat boots to run faster and dodge spitters & just run back and forth between bravo and pine woods. What do you think? Guys? Ladies?

I thought for the perks to be active you would need a dog with True Friend out with you, so I'm glad that isn't the case....... But I'm still pissed that the dog food is exclusive to the store! If it were only like a £1 it wouldn't be too bad but it's like £5 which for one bag is kinda crap (especially when you can't find it while grinding) 😲 lol Thanks Fuerza ✌️

JCF If you have more than one dog with the leader trait do you get even greater damage bonus to your dogs or does the trait not stack (so you can only get a bonus from one dogs leader trait) anyone know the answer?
I haven't seen a second puppy since release. Not even in my base after the zombie horde comes through. I guess it is super rare to see a puppy anywhere. I have been to 5 air drops 3 dealers and been through 2 zombie hordes. I did get the first free one fine though.

Hey, do you know how big the boost is with the raw food?
This guide is very well and good, but it's inherently flawed:
Using food while at base/offline is a huge waste. Sure, it reduces the need for food but not by much. Same goes for puppy growth speed. The payoff for food/raw meat is the baseline, and there's a better way to spend it:
Hunter - If you use your meat to activate hunter only when exploring and farming etc., you'll get more turkeys, and deer. Foxes are irrelevant, unfortunately. The higher your hunter skill, the more puppies you'll find in red zones, airdrops and better puppy stats from farm. This may also result in a super rare all-white shepherd puppy or husky dog. I'm not sure it's possible to find a corgi.
Hunter will allow you to build up an excess of food, and if you combine it with bloodhound, you'll find a lot more high tier loot, such as glocks, from red zones.
In the long run, hunter leads to a lot more food for growing puppies than well stocked or careful, and if you're smart and activating the skill as soon as you login for your daily missions, airdrops or alfa/farm runs, you'll net far more better loot, meat *and* puppies. Super important you activate bloodhound for bunker alfa hard mode. You can get an entire level/floppy disc in 1 single run just by clearing all frenzied giants from floor 2, and clear all of floor 3 up to the second computer terminal + killing the blind one!!! Plus red, yellow and green crate. I can do a tutorial that kicks the crap out of anything mturbogamer or resbakk can do if anyone's interested.
Farm will net 1-2dogs per run, so do this as often as you can, plus blueprints for melee weapons, which will allow you to clear bunker alfa normal and hard mode far more efficiently!
The tl;dr of it is don't use your food while offline or at base, use it with hunter and bloodhound for finding puppies, more meat and resource runs/bunker alfa and farm. Only once a great excess is acquired should you switch out for well stocked and careful, even then if you're doing it right you should be using meat at the same rate you're gathering it. Never breed more than 7 puppies at once. It becomes too food intensive!!!
This guy is probably pay-2-win, but for us f2p players, breeding a level 4 dog with true friend requires hunter and bloodhound, that's it, and by far the most efficient approach!!!
Target that for inherit traits.
The only other thing to remember is keep level 3 dogs with the witty trait and only use dry food and activate witty when breeding a bunch of level 2 or 3's. Explore basements in yellow and red zones for more dry food. Don't be eager to breed your level 3's to 4 until you have at least 10 pairs to breed, so that you're not wasting dry food. It's too rare to use often.
That's it! Follow any of the other advice from this guide and you'll set yourself back by over 8 months!!! It takes a long time, trust me!

About the dog with the 'Guard' skill... will it kill all the zombies in the zombie horde? So our walls will be safe? And will the dog attack raiders?
