One thought is simple analogy for the "tax fraud" in NY. TWO SETS of BOOKS.
There is slight wiggle room in evaluations - decor, branding can add value, BUT you can't change from 11 thousand sq ft to 30 thousand sq ft unless you do physical renovations.
IF his loan evaluations are correct, then Trump owes a butt load of taxes. If his tax estimates are correct,he committed fraud per the laws of NY.
Two sets of books is typical mob tactics to hide illegal activities.

Same. David probably doesn't have to do a ton of debate prep, because he sticks with facts and Empirical truth. People who parse words and bend facts to suit their subjective needs aren't usually as quick on their feet as our David.
I couldn't get a read on the guy firing the questions at David, though.

Completely missed and never discussed with regard to Biden's memory during the deposition, MOST people do not have great long term memory. As a 30-year attorney I cannot tell you how many times I have heard someone who is 30, 40, 50, etc., after being asked about something that happened perhaps two years ago, responding "It's hard to remember. That was a long time ago." It's no different that eye witness identification, which most people get wrong most of the time.

this! it's hard for everyone to think back years. the interview also wasn't about whether he could accurately pick out specific years. the focus was on the investigation, which came in the middle of his presidency and just after the gaza attacks. it's only natural for biden's memory to not be in humanly perfect.
and anyway, biden told multiple stories which were solid. he knew the month and day, someone interjected on the year to push the interview along. it's not like biden couldn't figure it out or even take a guess, he literally didn't have the opportunity.

And you were on the ball with great answers that were to the point, logical, informed, wise.. there was no dancing around or weird evasiveness or double talk that usually happens in interviews... I mean, just an altogether really great interview.
    I really enjoyed it.
The only thing that surprised me was that he had never heard of the whole "alternative facts" situation that the Republicans were pushing to gaslight people with. David Pakman has an incredible level headed and insightful view of the world of politics. It surprises me we don't see him invited on more media outlets to express his views and opinions on world events. This was a great interview.

Biden literally just sent ANOTHER twenty six billion to Israel. You don't think they'll spend some of that on killing more Palestinian children? Biden and Trump are disastrous on Gaza.

@rikachiu you’re 100% right! Those saying otherwise can’t really care that much what is happening in Gaza and for the Palestinian people or Muslims here in the USA. A Trump presidency puts that population in peril in more ways than one. Trump is telling us what he’s going to do and will have people in place to do so. He’s only going to hire those loyal to HIM!

It's easy to keep your story straight when you always tell the truth. Opinion based on personal feelings about truth also counts, assuming you keep those opinions in the open as a part of your commentary. That's one of the things I like about you, David, and I think this interview went very well. It's frustrating for us citizens to parse the nonsense that's been going on for some time now, I can't imagine what it's like to be a foreigner looking in from the outside, especially as the media wall is covered in right-wing spaghetti.

You know, I reckon the consistent use of either vague or binary moral and legal language by the interviewer suggests that there’s a lack of nuance in these sorts of interviews, conversations, and debates generally. (I mean the sorts that involve “new media” political commentators, journalists, etc.) You did an admirable job, David, of identifying and moving past the good vs evil/innocent vs guilty framework. Thank you for the clarity of thought.

David I think you were extremely prepared and did a great job. The only missed opportunity I saw was with the timing of Trump’s indictments - it took a long time to gather the evidence to not prematurely bring charges against Trump and Trump obstructed the gathering of that information at every turn i.e. judge Aileen Cannon helped Trump out with the delay delay delay tactic.

In the USA. Citizens accused of crimes have a right to a speedy trial. They don’t have a right to a speedy investigation or a right to be prosecuted before evidence is gathered. Taking 3 years to indict someone is actually very constitutional.
