It should probably be done the right way, with a 12v DC voltage regulator for the LED string's specific voltage and amperage requirements. That being said for as cheap as these are wouldn't be too worried about having to replace them other than lost time and potential fire hazards. Cheers

Are you concerned about direct connection to an RV system such as a previous awning light that has 12 V wires going to it my question is more based on the fact that the voltage may not be regulated and might get up to 14 V when charging. Wouldn’t that damage those LED lights or do you think the 12 V wires already in the RV or somehow regulated by the battery or converter system?
