If you don't laugh or smile at least once during a Kim Whisk video, you need to go get checked out by a doctor. These videos always brighten my day. I look forward to every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday for a new Kim video. I appreciate how real and genuine she is.
Aldi and Trader Joe's aren't in the same category! Love Aldi's. There are five within 14 miles of us but the first one is only two blocks from us. Their food is outstanding!!
My niece is getting married and it’s the first wedding that my sister, brother in law and mom and dad are missing from. Oh how I needed to see this distraction and giggle a little!! Thank you Kim. Never doubt you are something to many people! ♥️♥️
Trader Joes is owned by the owner of Aldi Nord. But the Aldi stores you see in the US are owned by Aldi Sud. The 2 are completely separate companies, that split off from each other in the 1960's, when the founding brothers couldn't agree on whether or not to sell cigarettes.
I knew Shania hung out at the thrift store but Aldi? I'm impressed! Aldi and T Joes are the best. T Joes has the edge. Would win by a lot if it was closer. Anyway, thanks for the shop along, the sandwich clip and an hour of happy mostly in song. Loving it. Thanks for the Saturday morning fun and Van Morrison makes everyone happy. To my Wads Fam and Party People, YOU are STRONGER than you believe and LOVED more than you know! xoxo
Good morning Kim Whisk. Thanks for sharing your shopping with us. Thank you for being a friend, travel down the road and back again. Your heart is true your a pal and a confidont. 😂 The .99 pasta is my budget 😂. Have a great weekend and see ya Tuesday. And if you threw a party and invited everyone you knew. Loved Golden Girls. I really miss the old days. My dad liked to watch it. Blanche was his favorite. He laughed at her all the time. ❤
Love you and your videos so much! Love how genuine you are! If you want to watch a great YT channel for up-to-date Trader Joe’s hauls, I highly recommend Katie Hespe! She does haul videos on Fridays and then she and her husband do a taste-test video on Saturdays. She worked at TJ’s for 9 years and her task test videos are completely honest.
Always a great Saturday with Kimberly. Even better when she helps me with my grocery list. I cannot TRUST myself to enter Trader Joe's because there are candies and treats everywhere and will power nowhere. I like Aldi's because I live alone and the package sizes are perfect for one. Lots of organic and grass fed choices for great prices. If I had a big family, I'd stick to Costco. Even as a single, I like to stock up at Costco. Have you tried "Wild Fork" for frozen meats and fish? It's a Florida grocery chain and they're all over Chicago here. Don't be mislead by prices on their exotic meats. They have terrific prices on big bags of pork chops, lamb chops, tenderloins, already cubed stew meats. Great prices on frozen veg. Staff is very helpful. You could walk in and ask them to show you the best family packs for the best value. They also have a lot of premade frozen sides. And they only have frozen food and spices. Very fast to get in and out. Bring your insulated grocery bags.
I wish I was able to fill a shopping cart with things like that, or even to fill one at all. I really enjoyed watching you so it. You are a blessed lady. Have a wonderful week!
Hello lovely friend! Love your videos! I really don't shop much at Aldi, only during holidays for decor lol, so I guess I am biased with Trader Joe's since I shop there twice a week for all groceries lol. I must say that Traders is more expensive but not by much for higher quality foods. Tfs! Hugs & Many Blessings! ♥️🏡🛍♥️
Those houses are gorgeous but do they have a pine forest for a front yard and are the lakefront in the back? No of course not. So you win! Lol. I bet the kids were over the moon excited when you got home with that Trader Joe’s haul!! So many tasty treats and fun things to munch on. Makes me want to run to both places. I swear BOTH of those stores should have you on their payroll. You sell the heck out of them! Oh and I LOVED your pants! Have a great weekend!
It’s Aldi’s for the win for me. I have 3 close by my house and they are clean and big and well stocked. Keep the videos coming. Love your different shop with me.
We don't have either in Canada. But I think I would love to have Trader Joe's. There is such a good variety of different foods. Thank you for taking us along, Kim. That was really great to see the two different stores.❤
Girl…the food is not sub-par! Give it a chance. Bring a cooler next time and buy a few things. That’s how I started. The aisle of shame is just an introduction but the best deals are on the outer aisles.
I LOVE aldi. I see so much stuff for my babies first bday party I can get. The theme is groovy I need all the mushrooms and flowers and everything 😍😍 I’m glad u found the Aldi magic this time lol.
We do not have TJ in my country (Belgium). But our Aldi (there's 1 big Aldi in my town) sells TJ's cookies, and the entire dried fruit and nut selection. It's nice!
My son and I have been 100% satisfied with all of the food we purchased at Aldi's. There is no trader Joe's near me but the one and only time that I went to trader Joe's which was about 15 plus years ago it was pretty good.
I never knew Aldi carried so many home goods! Their prices are excellent. Trader Joe's Cat Cookies are delicious - I just wish they had a sugar free variety! Thanks for sharing this fun shopping expedition, Kim!
You are so fun!! I feel so out of place going to Trader Joe's, but I love that store. On another note, our Aldi's is pretty much never stocked like your video
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE add Aldi's Haul in your line up. I so enjoy it!!! We recently got an Aldi's in our town. You showed things I hadn't noticed. They are on my list to buy. I also enjoyed the TraderJoe's,however I have never gone. The closest Traders is over 140 miles. But I may have to do a road trip and stop at thrift stores along the way.
I was at Aldi this morning! I don’t think it’s fair to compare Trader Joe’s and Aldi. Trader Joe’s is more expensive, Aldi is less expensive and the savings add up!! It all depends on your budget, of course I would rather shop at TJ, but I can’t do it. I do love to see what TJ has though! And the name brand stuff at Aldi is never a good deal, stick to their store brands! ☀️☀️☀️
Aldi Nord also owns the Trader Joe's grocery chain in the United States which operates separately from the group. Aldi Süd owns the Winn-Dixie and Harveys supermarket chains in the southern United States.
Skipping the food at Aldi. Whattttttt? 😂 I buy almost all my groceries from Aldi. The blocks of cheese are under $2 The organic products are so good and the price is unmatched.
Being honest it’s hard to relate to either store since we are Canadian and don’t have those here. I still watch because you are so fun 🎉 and make my day.
I'm glad that you went this week. It depends on what you need/want. Aldi has regular items for less. I just bought a steak and cheese wrap thingy for less than $5 and it was GREAT‼️ Trader Joe's has more items that you don't find elsewhere. I would drive 2 towns over to go there, but I feel overwhelmed at the door. I'm going back for the bagel slicer, sandwich bags [Surprised you didn't buy those.] and the cheese steak. Enjoy your day. 😊
We like Aldi for everyday staples and the "aisle of shame". Trader Joe's is more for treats in my opinion I go to Aldi weekly and TJ yearly lol. Fun video.
I love Aldi. When I go grocery shopping,, I always start at Aldi. I do love Trader Joe's, but since it's so far away, it's more of a fun treats, trip store.
Kim, location does matter. I live in Belgium, so Aldi is pretty major here. Do live in a town where we are "blessed" with one big Aldi and it's a couple streets down from where I live: amazing! Last year me and mom were on the road and we stopped at an Aldi on our way home. OMG it was terrible. Messy. Unorganized. I would never return there! But our location? My goodness, it puts the darn competition to shame!
Love Trader Joe’s, but that location is insane! You take your life in your hands in that parking lot! I stock up when I go there so I don’t have to go back for awhile. Thanks for another great video!
Good morning Kim ❤ Feeling rough but I'm forever lol throughout your videos. Thank you! You're so appreciated 😊🥰 I would love to visit TJ's someday! You are "gorgeous!"
You popped up on my feed and I had a blast with you! New subscriber. If you can’t have fun getting groceries then stop eating. I shop at both because I have a panic attack in bigger stores. My TJ parking lot is unbearable, so I only go at certain times. If I need something quick I’ll run into ALDIs. I look forward to more fun times with you. ❣️🥳
I like both stores. However when on a budget Trader Joe's is a luxury in my opinion. Yes Trader Joe's packaging is more appealing.... you don't eat the boxes. I know I know you eat with your eyes first. With the cost of living these days and just trying to put food on the table....Trader Joe's is just a treat for me. But to each his own.
Shouldn’t really compare as Aldi has always been a different concept. While now owned by Aldi Nord, Trader Joe’s was founded in the states in the 1960’s and sold to Aldi in the 1970’s. Aldi simply maintains TJ’s original concept.

Hi Mrs Whisk, FYI pink butcher paper is pink because it's naturally pink and hasn't been bleached as white paper is. Just that you'd like to know. Have a lovely week ❤
The non food stuff at Aldi goes fast. They rotate it out with other stuff about every 2 weeks. So if you see it and need it later you should get it. I’ve noticed items come back around every year
The Brothers both owned Aldis. They split over running the stores different. I think it began with selling cigs. When they came to the U.S. on kept Aldi and the other named his to Trader Joes. In Germany there called Aldi's North and South, I believe.
Aldi Cheddar Popcorn and their Kettle chips are real gems! And their dark chocolate; I think it tastes like Trader Joe's, although the 2 brothers supposedly had a falling out and became rivals. Aldi and Trader Joe's really shouldn't be compared, because their concepts are quite different. Aldi is becoming more prized for organic and gluten free offerings at very competitive prices. Also, try their big pizzas. And lots of good cheeses--Cranberry is great for get-togethers, esp Christmas. I could go on and on!
🎉🎉🎉🎉Yup! Just got my Kimberly Whisk fix for the day! I much rather shop at Trader Joe’s. ❤ Our 2 little Aldi locations have nothing most of the time. Great shopping video as usual! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend❣️❣️💕
I love both Aldi and TJ’s, for different reasons. Aldi fits my budget so well, I go to TJ’s for the fun things. Thankfully, there isn’t one close to me, so I only go every couple months.
Oh I need that chair mat at aldi! I don't have Aldi. Sad. I'm going to visit my fam in October in Kansas so I will make them take me because I've never gone! And our Trader Joes parking lot is insane too! Thank you for the video!
HAPPY SATURDAY Kim, family, and feathered friends. I like Aldi's however they have gone up on their prices too. Never shopped at Trader Joe's too far from us. Enjoy your day! STTB
Love Aldi. Have been shopping there for years, i do all my shopping Aldi. My weakness is the AOS (Aisle of Shame), I have brought many items from that aisle, clothes, chip clips, gnomes, candles, organizers, blankets, hair accessories,.cooking tools and oce cube trays.
I loved this video!! I definitely think traders Joe is so much better than Aldi. So many things you pointed out we like and some I had never noticed. I actually have the almond croissants ready to bake this morning. We did try the honey shrimp and the sauce was not good on it so if anyone buys that make sure you taste the sauce before you put it on the shrimp. Of course that was our taste buds. My husband would not even eat it and that is unusual. Kim you are the best in all of TH-cam!!
In Germany they are both ALDI (north and south mostly with the same products but there are some regional variations) and in the Netherlands they have a super discount store together called Zwei Brüder (two bothers). In most other countries they operate as ALDI together.
Your Aldi has so much more than mine has! I was there yesterday and they did not have the portion containers! I would have bought one!! 😢 The thing with Aldi, here today gone tomorrow. It does not come back!

Aldi and Trader Joe's aren't in the same category! Love Aldi's. There are five within 14 miles of us but the first one is only two blocks from us. Their food is outstanding!!
Was going to say this, if no one else did. TJ is more of a cut rate Whole Foods.

Interesting
I think kim is thinking of the store, Lidle. I think that is owned by the brother.
@@peacewG If you look it up Lidl is actually not owned by either brother. Lidll is owned by the Swartz Group
@@peacewG No, Lidl is completely different company, no relation at all.
I loved the field trip through the houses at the end with your commentary. Loved it.
For the most part Aldi has pretty good quality you just have to learn which brands are best. Thanks for the video Kim! ❤🙏🏼😃
Every time you say "It's blowing my mind" I just hear Meredith saying "It's breaking my mind!"😂
