Just a heads up, in the Davinci Resolve section at 4:21, your editor is talking about features that are in Davinci Resolve STUDIO, not Davinci Resolve, the free version. Magic mask and auto captions are STUDIO features only and are not in the free version of Davinci Resolve.

Good video, but I think that the main problem with people doing TH-cam now is their lack of strategy. They come up with ideas and upload them and post them straight away. They may be motivated for a couple months and may upload 40 videos in that time. 40 videos could be 40 or 20 weeks instead of 2/3 months. It's better to batch and post consistently (I also recommend using a little bit of Famester, so you can make that content viral almost immediately). Don't post everything straight away, it helps to avoid burn out...

    • @wundear
      @wundear 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@KIDNEPHRITE Personally, Capcut has worked really well for me! I switched from imovie to Capcut. I mainly edit on my phone. There's tons of freeway editing in Capcut! It's really easy to navigate once you start using it for a couple days, weeks, etc. Just like in the video, it's awesome for professional use and beginner use leaning more towards making better TH-cam videos.
Also, I haven't had any issues with lagging or anything. Honestly, the main "worry" is the app will crash if there's a butt ton clips, edits, and all that, but that's pretty much expected since all apps get breaking points. from time to time.

I am a content creator, and I want to be professional as I love editing, as I am at the moment an intermediate level so imovie is not what I need, and want to develop my skills as I want to remove background adding text and effects, so what is your recommendation for a software editor that:
1- Has all social media format, or lets say, the ability to convert to any format, youtube shorts, snap, insta reels? as most of the apps can't convert to these I mentioned earlier format
2- Can do cool effects such as background removal, AI effects, text behind the object
3- Courses that teaches about the suggested software

I used to edit in Vegas, it kept crashing so it made me cry. So i moved to Davinci. Now i feel like i miss a lot of fundamental stuff from Vegas. The things i miss started so early with basic things like you have to assign ctrl+y to redo an undo (that is like standard in EVERY software)... You cant copy and paste where you want.. You must use backspace instead of delete (bcause delete re-arrange clips for some silly reason). Also there are some more advanced editing features that i thin Davinci lacks. I believe that Davinci is more appropriate for mild editing, and more suited for a "linear" editing, like add clips together and change colors basically (ofc there are more effects yes yes..). If you're more into like VFX or heavy editing (keyframing etc), id go for another software, maybe Premier or After effects.

Thank you! This is helpful. I'm going to see if I can download a free trial of Capcut. I have been using Davinci Resolve for the clips I post on Instagram, but I want to move toward full length fitness videos here on TH-cam. So I think Capcut might be the way to go. But can you record videos in Capcut like in Final cut pro?

Laughs and jeers understood; but, what about Blueberry Flashback? I have used this in the past - but no one talks about it. Is it that terrible, or just bad marketing. Great content dudes, keep it up.

I'm a somewhat new editor,, looking to document the process for restoring a farmhouse from the 1950s. Not sure what software to choose. I've got 600 pics and 100+ videos of the process so far, looking for the best option to create a renovation/restoration video

PPro and Capcut Pro can stand toe-to-toe with DaVinci all day long.. I mean... not unless you're doing paid work for say, Disney, Pixar or Pepsi lol... Adobe Suite is great!

There is no way in capcut to fix resolution. Otherwise it's a great product.

Do you think starting with CapCut would make resolve easier in the future

    • @ThinkMediaTV

There might be a little learning curve. When I moved from Premiere to Resolve it took me a few months to get the hang of it. But I think getting started is the more important factor!

I completely agree. I am new to editing and CapCut might be a good start. Resolve is very overwhelming.

CapCut and iMovie are probably easier to get up to speed with. But there’s always going to be a learning curve. Becoming proficient in one and implementing keyboard shortcuts and presets massively improves productivity!

I tried capcut but it wont let me export in 4K, so after youtube compression comes in my video doesnt look good. I want to upload my edited video in 4K to get the best compression fromyoutube

Why do so many TH-cam videos have music that sounds like the Chipmunks trying to sing, but at a faster or slower speed?😂 So annoying!

Because instead of doing something interesting, they do what everyone else does. Creatively bankrupt. Also, they are doing it for clicks. It’s no longer a labor of love, unless the love is money.

The reason why some videos slow, the music down or speed the music up is because of copyright claims if you do not own, any copyrights to the songs or any type of music you could be sued so if you speed up or slow it down it mixes up the original version to a whole Different version, to trick the AI or whatever you wanna call it that detect the music in the video so you do not get copyrighted.

@@b4ds33dnope to avoid content id and copyright claims. Like the previous fellow mentioned. Pitch shifting allows it to avoid being detected.

the thing with capcut is it oftn run errors. an error i got recently: timeline doesnt show image - only could fix by restart. another is that auto-caption doesnt work at all - sometimes it cuts away whole clips of conversation

Imovie drives me crazy. Everything is a "one off" - you can't set any defaults, every title has to be done one by one (can't set default font style, the color reverts to white so for every title I have to go back to the color box and change it), the window sizes are annoying (why can't I make the titles window smaller or drag the one I always use to the top? Instead it's buried in the middle of all the others), the fonts are extremely limited, and sometimes the timeline just disappears and I have to close and reopen to get it back.
