2017 C43 worked when I let go after holding the eject button for approx 10 secs (you hear a click) and then press the volume roller button. Thanks heaps

Not sure if you still need a reply on this but my W205 also does not have a CD player (2020 model). On the center console, on the right side of the touchpad there is an on/off button. I pressed that for about 5-10 seconds until the head-unit rebooted and the display came back to life.

@@durascvc7021 What if its just sort of glitching - on sometimes when starting car, off sometimes? Do you think a reboot using power button hold will help it? I just bought a CPO 2019 W205.. already glitching probably has been all along.

@@babstankersley896 a reboot should not hurt so it’s worth a try. In my case it is very rare in the last months, I assume they pushed some updates that made it better. In any case it seems somehow related to the usage of carplay
