For those who don't know, the actor who plays the guitarist with the machine gun cases was the original El Mariachi that Banderas plays in this movie; Desperado is the sequel.
This movie is one of the movies in the 90s I can watch over and over again. Bad a $ $. Back then when I was 15, I would rent it and watch it via VHS at Block Buster. It was one of those times when you literally had to fight another person for the film because most new releases are always gone within a day since they only carried a handfull of it unlike now days. You just stream it...I actually enjoyed back then when we go out as a family and rent the movies we want like going shopping. It was more work but I felt it gave us a reason to go out rather staying than staying home. Sometimes in life, having convenience isn't always the best. I miss those days.
I watched this movie over and over again when i was younger back then too. But mostly for a specific scene…. That aside though, it did have some great action scenes.
When we saw this movie for the first time,we would play around with our old guitar doing that rocket launching pose! It was so cool back then, still is today.
FUN FACT: Eric Bischoff liked "White Train" by Tito & Tarantula so much after watching this movie, he made it his theme song in World Championship Wrestling.
What gets me is how it took so long to kill both of El Mariachi's associates while they fought without the use of cover and/or concealment. Either way, there's nothing more badass than to get involved in a firefight with machine guns and RPGs disguised in guitar cases.
Замечательный фильм, а Antonio Banderas и его друзья - это сила - мужская дружба - бесстрашие, но человеческая жизнь для них - это главное. Хочется посмотреть весь фильм👍👍👍❤❤❤
over the top action yet still have some sense of realness to the scene: the bazooka need to be reloaded after each shot, the guitar machine gun run out of ammo, banderas notice the obvious and tell the mariachi to take cover…amazing!!
LOL, yet true! Antonio Banderas has like 10X the time to make any life-saving choices than reality would allow !!!!! (Bet you wouldn't have paid any attenton, but in the near-distant future: VOTE BLUE to America for continue exist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At 0:15 in reality these three would have killed by that machine gun fire. But 80s movies were insane where hero can stand in the middle can kill all the bad guys.
😅 I was around 5 years old when this movie came out and every kid in town know this movie I was dreaming of a suitcase rocket launcher when I was a kid 😂😂😂😂
This film made me a Salma Hayak fan - though the last half of this clip, as posted, was a repeat of the first half without sound (at least for me!). BUT, she's some kind of hot and able to portray a most believable character role. Loved her in "The Hitman's Bodyguard" and its sequel!
we need a part 4 of el mariachi with the others reprising there role but with someone elseturning el mariachi as a 007 like nick name for multiple anti hero
Well the series ended with once upon a time in Mexico with El finally getting what he felt was finally right after killing the man who killed the woman he loved as well as his child and nearly killing him, he walks away with the state president of Sinaloa’s sash around his bod, and with some of the funds he got from the payment for the coup de tat. He just walks into the sunset with his “wife” Carolina singing Siente Mi Amor.
At 3:08 I like how Antonio has remind his comrade to cover himself, when the guy was trying to be cool walking around in the open... I think Antonio knew that was going to be their last fight together...😂😂😂 He didn't even bother to check on them..
I have a P85 and P90 myself. The clunky is a good thing. One, makes recoil near non-existent. Two, Ruger's investment casting methods make both guns beyond +P+ rated. Their manuals state "there is no known 9mm or .45 ACP load that exceeds the design limits of this pistol" not too many manufacturers would stake reputation or liability like that
@@chrismc410 When I decided that I wanted to own a centerfire semiautomatic pistol to go along with my S&W Model 41 .22 LR target pistol, and that .45 ACP would be the caliber of choice, the Ruger P90 was the first rental pistol that I checked out to sample the fit and function and see how I liked it. It did feel a bit bulky but the heft and the way it filled my hand did seem to tame the recoil, and I shot pretty well with it group wise at the 7 yard line. I was definitely considering it but after talking with some longtime shooters/hand-loaders to get their opinions, I tried a rental Springfield 1911A1 and found that its weight, balance and more slender grip fit my hand better, though the standard tang grip safety did bare down on the web of the hand a bit in recoil. I ended up going with the Springfield 1911A1 Mil-Spec model, which I really came to love, and would later upgrade to mimic the features of the Kimber 1911A1 that became available on the market about a month after my waiting period was up and I took possession of my Springfield (beavertail grip safety, adjustable speed trigger, extended thumb safety, 3.1 lb trigger job, Bo-Mor target sights), and would put over 14,000 rounds through it, most of them being my single-stage press hand-loads. I would later add a CZ-75B 9mm and a S&W Model 1006 10mm to my collection of semiautomatics (and an Armi San Marcos Hartford Italian SAA copy in .45 Colt) and reloading die sets.
Its very Rare to watch the movies about the story of musician killer. This is one of the bedt movie i watched. If these two friend of Antonio Banderas they cover to the safe place they will never get killed.
ALWAYS hard to believe in these great action films (e.g., at 6:18 in this clip), when the "bad guys" come into the scene (like, at 1:55), while the "good guys" don't take action until the former are out of immediate danger - rather than shooting the "bad guys" (until 2:05 - ten seconds later, when they first come in!) BUT, the first time you watch it, these are incredible as if they were reality re-produced! LOL!!!
This is still one of my favorites. Banderas is cool af, Joaquim is a perfect bad guy and ....... come one, do I even need to say it? Salma, Salma, Salma. To this day my buddy and I will randomly call each and say "did I thank you" then the other says "I will" and the conversation is over.
Vimos imágenes documentales de "un día cualquiera en una orquesta mexicana". Los miembros de la empresa militar privada "Wagner" también se hacen llamar músicos.
For those who don't know, the actor who plays the guitarist with the machine gun cases was the original El Mariachi that Banderas plays in this movie; Desperado is the sequel.
Oh dang cool, many people don't even know there was an original "El Mariachi "
Fascinating month. Firstly, I discovered that Desperado have a sequel. Now there is also a prequel :D
@@laytonvicars4606 Its true and all worth a watch!
Just know that neither of them are anywhere near as superb as Desperado, its a one of a kind movie!
Another fun fact: that same actor who played the original Mariachi (Carlos Gallardo) produced all 3 films.
and the bad guys name in english is booger

ridiculously brilliant ... any time, any country, any planet !!!
He looks like the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels when he's doing that. It's awesome!
That pose is iconic and probably hugely impractical 😂
i used to as well
I'm a mexican and I can confirm that every mariachi gets into gunfights like this one.
i knew it!

This always happens in ciudad Juarez
Seriously, and if it's true may I ask why? Are mariachi's some sort of neusance?
@@eviljesus6111no en Juarez, en la sierra.
The bazooka guitar case is still badass even now!
I love the Shawn Michaels pose while shooting the rocket launcher. Definitely a Heartbreak Kid with that bad boy.
Haha! I love this comment.
I can't decide if this is the greatest scene in movie history or the best... Either way I'm watching it at least 5 more times
absolutely !!!
the dumbest scene ever
These two amigos deserved their own freaking movie. So badasses 😎😎
everyone shoots at the ground or anywhere except to them😂
The uploader clearly agrees, this scene is so badass that it deserves to be rewatched again
This was one of my favorite movies when I was 11
This movie is the true definition of plot armor.
FUN FACT: Eric Bischoff liked "White Train" by Tito & Tarantula so much after watching this movie, he made it his theme song in World Championship Wrestling.
I will never not laugh in absolute glee at the freakin' guitar case rocket launcher ahahaha so badass
Desperado And Once Upon A Time In Mexico Never Gets Old😇😇😇
So silly, but so much fun ^^

It's the camouflage
Mariachis in this universe have insane deadshot. They're not easy to kill
Temporary plot armor, is the phrase you want.
One of the best gun fights I’ve seen in a action movie
The bad guys definitely went to the Stormtroopers accuracy training camp !
This movie is what anime battles would look like irl
not a cell phone in sight
just people living in the moment
The Rocket Launcher guy is the star of the show 😂
difficult to dispute !!!
The pose each time he fires is badass lol but it's also amazing that they were able to stand there with no cover for a while lolol
Loved this movie
I lvoed this movie when I was a kid, but now rewatching this scene I see how bad it actually it is.
Bruh its so bad its good. Like the movie
The Room.
What is wrong with you, this is brilliant! The only better movies nowadays are some Hindi action movies nobody in the west ever heard about :O
Even as a kid I found it cool and weird af how the cooler mariachis died
Haha, wr you finally admit that Tarantino is just nuts
Nooo don't say that!!
This movie sure does make the gun fire look so beautiful
Brings back memories ❤
Brought a guitar case to a gun fight and still won, legends
The rocket launcher man was something else 😂😂😂

Old school typical awesome over-the-top 90's style action right here!
Can't believe how cool this movie was when I was a kid😂😂😂
This is such a cheezy movie , I had to buy it!!!
This is some 80s/90s A-Team tv show energy type stuff here 😂 I've never seen this movie before, I'll have to check it out
When rocket guy executes the pose and fires ,30%+ additional damage.
I was 12 when this came out. My friend and I watched this a million times.
Where the hell is he getting the ammo for that guitar rocket launcher?! 🤣
Magic 🤣
You can clearly hear the magic reload
It was the 90s, everybody was running around with the bottomless mag hack back then
@@AbysmalRapture guess they nerfed it because it was too OP 🤣

Whose idea was it to put a bazooka in the guitar case?
Was El Mariachi sponsored by Ruger? He seems to like the P89 in 9mm, which was decent and affordable, if a bit clunky.
