@@valentinabr8941 He's the best. One objective way to prove it is that people want to work with him over and over. Mia Wasikowska has made 4 films with him, Tom Holland has made two, and Rob has worked on films for David Michod and David Cronenberg twice, and he's making a second film with Claire Denis next year. Directors who cast the same actor over again are a testament to the fact that the actor is easy to work with, professional, and delivers the goods. Timothee Chalamet is dying to work with Rob again, after they did The King together. He would like to be Robin to Rob's Batman.
Actually, it's more like I already expect him to do something crazy like that. Seriously, at that point I'd be disappointed if he wouldn't engage at least in some tiny shenanigans. I'd be like "What's wrong with him?!" and then start to worry *lol*
His Appalachian accent in the film was incredible. The cast was stunning, not just because it was star studded but because they grounded themselves and delivered incredible performances unlike they have before. This film reminded me of the "There will be blood" era of films
Actually I think it is a mixture of both. It has always been a way to deal with his anxiety but I really get the feeling that it got ways better in the last years (with the end of the Twilight craziness, finally being able to choose freely what he wants to do and how he wants to do it - and with age) and that nowadays it's mainly just him being his genuine weirdo self having fun. The anxiety, nervousness and self-consciousness is still there (will probably always be) simmering beneath the surface (constantly having his hands in his hair for example) but it rarely seems to be so incredibly crippling any more. He seems not so tense but more relaxed now most of the time. He mainly seems happy and seems to really enjoy his life and the artistic and creative freedom he finally has. And that's all that counts - at least for me. He deserves it, he really does.
“I don’t think you have to redeem any character”. Thank you Rob. Shows that when an actor plays a villain, you don’t need excuses to redeem the character.
Such a down to earth interview, its refreshing to hear an actor just admit he's having fun with his work rather than some deep, pretentious analysis of his performance.
Where's this all coming from? Who are these people who "didn't appreciate him" before? He's still young, and he's already a global star and I'm pretty sure no one thought he was a bad actor (maybe in twilight because it was a shitty movie, but that was 10 years ago) in the recent years.
@@sarac.3568 no body saw his independent films(lighthouse, The lost city of Z, The Rover etc), he was only labelled as the twilight guy. so people just had a blind eye to his other performances. now that he starred in a big time with a big star cast, his work is finally being recognized by everyone who didn't even know him very well. i was excited when people gave a positive response to the batman's trailer.
@Joanie H i completely agree, but they saw him only as a vampire, and there was enough amount of backlash for the franchise too, and the exact people who thought he was cringe in twilight are preaching him right now for this movie even though he's been doing amazing roles before.
His accent was imo very applicable to his character and how a sly pastor would sound a brilliant choice for him to make. Also happy that hes still around and kickin. Bless up Rob.

Love him so much . I really liked him right from the beginning but I now just have massive respect for the way he has navigated his career and manages his fame.
So, he really doesn't have his character confidence until the shoot starts, feels adrenaline and edgy and nervous before the shoot? This guys living a truth in acting that is beyond even method acting. Method acting and character shading are processes that are meant to refine the explorative process..... he seems to be the antithesis .... He finds truth in literally letting it " just happen"..... Brilliant young actor. He and Shia are the best of their generation .
I hope he’s doing much better now he’s really a great actor. I feel like he’s skating this line between being very mainstream because he has so many projects and being underrated because so many people still underestimate and dismiss his talent because of the stigma people have placed on him because of his Twilight days 🥺
As someone who’s struggled with religion- and those in power in it- this character really struck home with me. Entire cast was phenomenal but this character really stuck out for me. Absolutely brilliant in this role. So creepy, so sadistic. His voice alone gave me chills and kept me on edge every time he was on screen. Amazing portrayal. 👏 👏 👏

Anyone that really likes the way this interview is set up as well? Their conversation was so natural and real, not filmed in a studio with perfect lighting and a script and a director and stuff. It’s just a zoom call and a conversation between them, just naturally flowing, with imperfections, this is so much better than interviews in professional settings. I love this. It makes celebrities so much more human and approachable, and relatable. I hope this format is gonna stay after the virus is over! No need for a perfect studio with everything set up perfectly. This is much more fun and also low pressure for the person being interviewed! You can really sense that!

I NEVER thought I'd one day unabashedly stan Robert Pattinson considering I was in the exact demographic Twilight was aimed at when the books and movies were released and I DESPISED them haha. Glad we have the internet so I can see interviews of him and discern he's actually a remarkable person! Great personality and sense of humour. Go Rob!
When he was casted as Batman, I was truly happy because he is such a great actor. Then I had my doubts due to his not-so-bulky complexion, but guess what? I don't give a damn now, he will knock it out of the park. Good acting + writing >>> bulky actors
True, i mean i like Ben Affleck, he was the best in term of looks, his acting also okay yet its not really help the overall movie he was in. Pattinson maybe not as big as him but he has acting chops to give a great performance and he also still sell his physicality with his fighting convincingly despite what everyone been afraid of he cant (at least in the trailer). I think writing+directing+performance are the combination of good movie.
I just seen Batman yesterday, wow, The voice, his facial structures, height, he is the perfect Batman ever🦇😍🙌😊😊!! I always admired his performance and ofcorse his cutness and manners!!! 😍😍
His voice and how he talks as a person is just so sweet, he sounds so full of emotion and like he knows himself well. He’s just calm and his demeanor is beautiful. This video he’s in is one of my favorites. I started wondering how I could talk with the same vibe and the same sweetness. However I soon realized, Rob is his own self.I’m my own self. People(like me) love him for how he is because it’s his natural ways, so why am I trying to be like someone else? Why wouldn’t my friends and family love me for me, why would I need to change how I talk just to make me sound like someone else I like? If I’m not being my natural honest self it’s going to look fake, I’ll just love myself for who I am, how I talk and accept the fact that others love how I sound just as me. I’m not making any sense. Omg. Have a good day lol I’m gonna go now and quit talking about random crap. I love this man though.
Because he probably is (or in a bath tube). You can't put anything nuts like that beyond him. Just go with his flow, otherwise your head will explode at some point from all the wondering....

I am soo in love with that scene that I shout DELUSIONS every now nd then for no reason whatsoever....i jus LOVE it.....

JEHNEJSNS I CANNOT STOP SAYING IT
I had no idea he was so full of giggles, lol! 😆 I love that! Most actors take themselves way too seriously.
He's always been a total goofball who's always cheery and funny. People on the set say he's a joy to work with. This makes his acting even more impressive, since he's known for such serious, dark roles. Total opposite of who he is in real life.

Yeah I watched a video when a guy is saying that Rob is a very nice and friendly dude to be around and everybody likes him
@@valentinabr8941 He's the best.
Brits are cool as f-$#.
Finally Rob being acknowledged for his REAL talent in acting. Two decades of working this hustle and finally. It is happening.
Rob looks like he's recording himself in a bathtub.
Tbh. I wouldn't be surprised if he was.
@@undercover_idiot yes.
Actually, it's more like I already expect him to do something crazy like that.
Seriously, at that point I'd be disappointed if he wouldn't engage at least in some tiny shenanigans.
I'd be like "What's wrong with him?!" and then start to worry *lol*
Probably was easier than cleaning up a messy apartment.
He got casted as Batman and now he seems to be in everything. He's a phenomenal actor so this makes me happy
Yeah before Batman he was doing lots goods movies
@@valentinabr8941 Yeah I know but now it's more known what he's in. Like he's finally getting the recognition he deserves
@@WholeOrganicMilk Oh. Thats true and I'm glad that now he is getting recognized for his jobs
His Appalachian accent in the film was incredible. The cast was stunning, not just because it was star studded but because they grounded themselves and delivered incredible performances unlike they have before. This film reminded me of the "There will be blood" era of films
there’s literally no interview you can find where rob doesn’t laugh during an interview
it’s the anxiety imo
@@deniz3049 Normally I'd assume the same, but he speaks with confidence imo. Then again, he IS a very talented actor..lol
There are moments where he laughs in interviews There’s a compilation
@@deniz3049 No not really not everyone has anxiety for simple things like this. He clearly just doesn’t take himself seriously and is a goof
Robert Pattinson talks so passionately about his work..he literally worships it.
And the beauty of it is his passion shows in his outstanding performances! 😃
Dude is so much more humble and chill than I anticipated, love it

This guy can play anything. Dude gets cast as Batman but could very easily had played any villain in the Batman world.
“I don’t think you have to redeem any character”. Thank you Rob. Shows that when an actor plays a villain, you don’t need excuses to redeem the character.
Robert Pattinson just seems like such a genuinely likable, humble person. I'm excited for him as Batman.
his teeth are cool; they look like a vampire's.
Kristy's Edits I just love his teeth 😁
For a briton That's a high praise :p
IKR he should play a vampire in a movie
A kid in 6th grade had teeth alike and one time we were talking and I just went “you’d make a great vampire”
PG oh shut up
This guy is incredible , I don’t know how someone with his dorky, awkward, fun personality can turn himself into these characters . Mind blowing.
If you hate an actor in a movie it means that he is doing a great job
Such a down to earth interview, its refreshing to hear an actor just admit he's having fun with his work rather than some deep, pretentious analysis of his performance.
Roberts so funny, it’s like he’s always laughing at an inside joke only he knows about
It’s anxiety
He is such a brilliant actor. I never thought I would hate him in any movie. But I did in this movie. 😅

funny how people didn't appreciate his talent before, even though he's been doing this from a long time.
My tribute to "The Devil All the Time Please do watch friend" th-cam.com/video/khSVDBecX1U/w-d-xo.html ./.,./.
@Duc Long Nguyen yeah!

Rob definetely is one of the most talented actors
His accent was imo very applicable to his character and how a sly pastor would sound a brilliant choice for him to make. Also happy that hes still around and kickin. Bless up Rob.

If I ever meet Robert, I'm telling him to shout DELUSIONS at me like it's my dying wish.
He was such a feast to watch in The Lighthouse. But in The Devil All the Time, he took the movie to another level with his performance. So uncanny. As a DC fan, I am so excited to see an actor like him play Batman!

Rob did such a good job on this role. He deserves way more respect than he’s gotten for his acting chops. I think his time is here though.
imagine a whole movie about his character that would be insane
I hate how people only see him for his twilight movies but they gotta realise that Robert Pattinson is not a bad actor and he knows how to act
He looks so happy. I want to hang out with him .

Skinniest “fat suit” in the world 😂
I hope he’s doing much better now
he’s really a great actor. I feel like he’s skating this line between being very mainstream because he has so many projects and being underrated because so many people still underestimate and dismiss his talent because of the stigma people have placed on him because of his Twilight days 🥺

i think he's only a delusion, because damn he's perfect.
True
As someone who’s struggled with religion- and those in power in it- this character really struck home with me. Entire cast was phenomenal but this character really stuck out for me. Absolutely brilliant in this role. So creepy, so sadistic. His voice alone gave me chills and kept me on edge every time he was on screen. Amazing portrayal. 👏 👏 👏
i absolutely love robert. in this film though, i hated him so much to the point of disgust and then watching this interviews reminds me of how cool of a person he is. THAT is a great actor. someone you can hate SOOOOO much in a role and then at the end of the day it's like you remember how much you actually love them as a person
Bruh i didn't like him from twilight but when I start watching his other movies, they were fing amazing. This dude is so much more. This role just made me respect him more

Beyond anything, I’m just glad he’s having fun 🥺 it shines through his acting too!
He makes me forget that he’s Robert P when he’s playing a character. He’s such a great actor.
He was incredible in this movie, almost unrecognizable.
I love how he describes acting!
he's the cutest thing EVER
Exactly what we need for batman.
He is a great actor. Seems like such a nice guy and what a jaw line
Robert was a total bastard in this movie. He did a great job as this character who is just absolutely unreedemable.
Netflix needs to do produce more movies like this, rather than the usual dribble they keep pushing out.
This guy is on a roll. Good for him!
I have a feeling Robert Pattinson and Joaquin Phoenix might share the screen at some point.😉
God i hope

Yeah thats the best line but also the delusions's line is lit.
Go Rob!
i love him so much bc of his personality. he’s so chill yet funny
HES getting better and better in acting every year. This dude was incredible. Great job !!
When he was casted as Batman, I was truly happy because he is such a great actor. Then I had my doubts due to his not-so-bulky
complexion, but guess what?
He is an exceptional actor but unfortunately really underrated by a lot of people.
i love how relatable and open he is. reminds me of how much he is human
When you see Robert's smile you can only smile 😍❤️❤️❤️
What I got out this interview- Rob: “what I loved about this character is he’s fat sweaty and oily” lmao!!! He’s awesome
Srsly, rob’s makeup during the entire twilight series was blasphemy to his natural good looks here.
Omg.
Have a good day lol
I’m gonna go now and quit talking about random crap.
I love this man though.
why does he look like he's sitting on the floor in his grandma's old spare bedroom???
Because he probably is (or in a bath tube). You can't put anything nuts like that beyond him. Just go with his flow, otherwise your head will explode at some point from all the wondering....
I love the vagueness hahahaha
I like how you deliver your character ,,,, so much respect
Thought the film was so-so, but Pattinson was brilliant in it. He is really proving himself to be one of the best actors working in Hollywood today
Im just gunna say it I think we all can agree Robert Pattinson can literally do ANY role 🤷🏾♀️

He’s such a great actor! One of the bests nowadays, he has grown and found his path and it’s amazing to see him deliver amazing performances! Also I love to see him so loose and funny
Thanks for this Netflix, so interesting seeing how the actors plan their scenes, especially with the Directors input too!
I actually forgot he's a fellow English man. That's the strength of his acting.
His performance on Lighthouse really good
I was NEVER expected he really that good
Thanks god they giving him role as Batman
