You know, Arctic really needs more appreciation for being such a positive influence on his dragonets. Remember on page 333, where we find out Darkstalker loves his dad so much, he wants to cut him open and take his heart as a gift? And that one time he took Whiteout on a vacation to the Ice Kingdom to spend quality time? So much of a better father than Six-Claws, who never once hugged his daughter.

OMG totally! And Scarlet was an amazing mother figure to Peril! The way she tricked her into killing who knows how many dragons and making her see herself as a monster. Mother of the Year award.

In the winglets ebook series, book #3: Deserter (i think), it said that Sixclaw’s father (i think Quicksand was his name?) was a good dad. And Char (Blister, Blaze and Burn’s father and husband of Queen Oasis) was a good dad too (in the winglet series).

Arctic was such a fantastic dad indeed. He was always supportive of his children, even though they bore little semblance of their Icewing heritage. And how he helped Darkstalker learn to control and use his animus magic, and how he talked to both Darkstalker and Whiteout about their crushes. It was sad really when he ripped out his organs in defense of his children. His death was truly a tragedy.
Yes, truly the most accepting father. Always making sure they felt like they weren't alone.

Don't forget how close Queen Diamond was with her Bestie Daughter-In-Law Foeslayer! Ah, all those fun activities together, down in the Ice Caverns. Nothing but fond memories of Gam-gam for all her Grandkids, I'm sure.
Man artic was incredible, everything he did for his family was indescribable. Artic wanted the best for his daughter. He wanted her to be happy with someone rich and important. He wanted the Darkstalker to know everything about his powers and chase his dreams/visions with Clearsight and be a strong Nightwing. Foeslayer loved winter and she wanted more eggs and he was happy to give bc of how much he wanted eggs :).

I have to agree, Arctic was an amazing father. One thing that you forgot to mention was how supportive Arctic was with Darkstalker's animus magic. He helped teach him how to protect his soul. And when Fathom showed up in the Night Kingdom to meet Darkstalker concerning his powers, Arctic was incredibly supportive in helping Fathom deal with his PTSD. It's amazing I've never noticed before 😃
