It’s auto exposure looks like it did a good job. I’ve seen some amazingly good looking 50D super 8mm footage lately.

11-22mm is quite an odd choice. 11mm is way too tight in my opinion, especially indoors.

Hi! Do you know anything about the chinon 30af xl? I saw it recently in a store and was tempted to purchase, but I cant seen to find any videos on it!
I don't personally have one but I do know a little about them They have an Auto Focus (AF) mode along with manual focus, which is probably the most unique feature on a Super 8 camera. It has a 3:1 zoom (hence the 30 in the model number) and I believe it has exposure compensation (a dial to over/under expose), which is a really great feature. Now you're making me want one 😅

Where there many or any super8 camera's made with metal bodies?
There were several but not nearly as many as plastic. My Bolex 150 and 155 Super are both metal, as is my Zenit Quarz. My little Minolta Pocket Z-8 and Yashica Electro-8 are both metal bodies. Still quite fragile though 🙃

Mike, you're saying it will measure from ISO 40 to 160 but it's actually 40 OR 160 (nothing in between). It depends on the exact position of the film speed pin in the camera but ISO 100 will probably be exposed as 160. Not a problem for negative film but underexposing reversal film is not what you want.
Yes, you're absolutely right! I probably should have mentioned that if shooting 100D in this camera, you really should tape the BLC button down (I've done it several times). Thanks!!
Where do you purchase s-8 film?
Direct from Kodak (US & Canada) is the freshest and cheapest.
Do you know if normal earplugs will work?
I haven’t tried them but I’m pretty sure they will work.
At 12 minutes, is an image of this in the manual, or not or you don't have the manual?
