You really have a nice setup! My own personal taste, but I would add an optivisor for the hands-free optical magnafication, additional cleaning rods as I hate taking the time to swap the bore brush with the patch jag, and a couple of needle oilers for your favorite oil or solvent. Another thing I like to have around - acid brushes for applying oil or grease or for general wiping/brushing. I can trim the bristles back if I want a stiffer brush. A box of them are available at Harbor Freight and they are cheap enough that you won't feel bad if you toss it after one use. A box of 36 is about $3. The other thing I would do, if you don't have to have your bench mobile, is to lag bolt the bench to the wall. This will steady up the bench and make it rock solid. You will be appreciate this if you ever have to pound on something or reef on somethng in the vise. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
Lol, I love things like that. Great video man! Built my actual work bench, takes at least four corn fed boys to move it. Im just now getting ideas for an actual gun cleaning/smithing bench to keep it from being overbuilt. I am a huge fan of the slat boards myself. keep doin you and things like that bruh, lol.
Your gunsmith workbench looks top notch! I would recommend getting a solid gun vise. Checkout both Total Vise and Real Avid. They have some great adjustable gun vises. It would be a perfect addition to your setup. Keep up the great work!
This is a good setup for a beginner, however two things do need to be changed. First take the claw hammer and put it back in the garage and replace it with a couple of small ball peen hammers (1, 2, 4 oz) and polish the faces to a mirror finish. second take the electrical and masking tape to the garage with the claw hammer and replace them with some good painters tape.
Love that video. Great to get some different ideas and see other people's set up. If TH-cam will allow it, would love to see some demo's on the use of each like the vise and torque wrench (and things like that). With all of the worry about guns and parts becoming scarce, what would be good spare repair parts (springs, pins,.....and things like that) that would be good to have on hand for repairs of things that are likely to eventually need repair/replacement. Great video, links to find the stuff you're talking about, and ability to recognize and poke fun at yourself. Thanks.
Get a sonicating bath.. It's worth the money.. dental tools, cause you need to be able to clear threads... a second vise thats not so close to the end of the bench so you can work on things that may be longer on other ends... If you dont have a drill press and multiple rethreading tools your missing out. 3 levels with 2 that are magnets. a polishing wheel and a holder.
What's it supposed to look like? I'm not a mechanic building engines...lol it's for guns! #TakeCareOfYourTools! I make very little on TH-cam because all my videos get demonetized! I work 3 jobs and do this for the benefit of people who may find the info useful....not for duchbags looking to criticize it! Thanks! 😊
Great inspiration for me to start my own.
This video helped me plan my first gun smithing bench! Thank you so much for sharing!!

A wheeler f.a.t wrench would be a nice addition.

Definitely like the slat board look. Great video, thank you.

Nice setup bro, I’m looking to start a smithing business

The only thing worse than losing a screw is completing the build and finding an extra 😂😂
I like to throw an extra roll pin among my buddy’s builds. Keeps them on their toes and they get real fast at tear downs and assembly. 😂
@@wyesolsirius4947 You'd better watch out. If they catch you, it's really hard to defend yourself when you're laughing that hard!! 🤣
Nice video. Good times!
Like your set up bro. Gotta hit the store now !!!
You didn't miss anything love the video.
My wife and I plan to move into a larger space next year and you better believe I'm setting up a workbench like this! Thx bud
Awesome!! Thanks for watching
I would recommend a boresighter, Wheeler FAT torque wrench and gun vise (did not see one)
Very Nice
I love your set up

3 levels with 2 that are magnets.
a polishing wheel and a holder.
Great video. You obviously treat your firearms great. In the process of building a bench of my own
Nice video. Great information. Thanks.
Great vid down to earth!
Love the video. Great ideas to get set up and organized.
Great video. What model vise is that?
what desk lamp would you recommend for cleaning guns ?
Any one should work fine as long as it provides enough light. I find the 5000 lumen overhead light to be most effective. I rarely use the desk lamp
thank you@@PilotPatriot
@@PilotPatriot thank you
What system do you have attached to the wall to hang all your tools and equipment on?
Pvc slatwall! Link in description
If only I had the room for something like that🤣
Could go in a closet or garage!!
@@PilotPatriot yeah I'll figure out something there's no ac in the garage and I live in florida so it's rough lol. I really like the setup btw
@@jamesprzybyla3432 thanks!
Love the set up bud! Been looking for a great idea like this! Where is the bench from?
I built this one
Nice..if you can I'd like to get the dimensions and what that top is made of?
What are the dimensions of your work bench? I’m have a small space I’m working with your bench seems like it would be perfect for the space I have
It's 60"x24"
Only other thing I can think of is a boresighter
But what about some roll pin punches?
Roll pin punches were in the red hanging holder
@@PilotPatriot I was just joking. You had several sets lol
the tape at 2:00 lol
Excuse me sir but this video is completely unedited! That was pure magic!!! Lol
@@PilotPatriot you're gonna put David Blaine out of business!
Ian from Forgotten Weapons has suggested content creators and viewers to look at Utreon as an alternative to TH-cam, as YT is becoming more anti 2A.
I'll check it out, I'm also on rumble
definitely need a wheeler fat wrench otherwise I think everything is covered
None of this stuff even looks used. How much do you guys make on TH-cam?Is it enough to just go out and buy all this stuff just for another video?

I have most of the general tools already as a machinist and I’m not a content creator. Things like the armorer’s wrench and spare parts I don’t have.
