I have a couple cubes, a 4K and a 4K max. Hands down the cubes can't be beat by a 4K stick. My cubes are hard wired, (as my 4K sticks are) , updates are blocked, unnecessary processors are turn off (thanks tech Dr.). Sometimes you forget you're streaming they run so good. I also have a shield but we're not comparing it.

I agree! Cube has way more processing power and upscaling is superior.

@@TheFrenchGlow you're exactly right. I just wish they would have slid a bit more ram in the 3rd gen coming out. Granted the processor is top shelf but I think I'll wait and see what Black Friday brings. I wouldn't mind another Shield.

i recently bought a new 4k tv that sadly, does a poor job upscaling..i also bought a firestick 4k max which helps improve picture quality but was hoping for a bit more..would i see a noticeable difference in picture quality between the Cube and the 4K Max when streaming lower resolution movies? in other words, will the Cube upscale any better than the Firestick 4k Max?
