Do you think the nerf to Slinger was too much or just right?
I'm kinda in the middle I honestly still hate him but he shouldn't be absolutely awful
They should get rid of his gun i think that would be fair
i still find him annoying from a survivor perspective 🤧 but then again theres way more annoying killers

Honestly, the thing I love about spooky's content is that he makes it very watchable regardless of game knowledge. I don't play DBD, I have no interest in playing it, but seeing the way spooky presents it makes it so fun to watch, and he's also naturally hilarious.
I would like to recommend you Demi channel. It's 100% humor
It’s scary how good you are at DBD like in both matches the gens started poppin off like crazy but still you were able to get ‘em all, props my man 😎
Gens popping means the survivors are going to become more and more condensed together, making it easier to catch them.

@@lukebell4738 not necessarily. A good group of survivors would know to pick and choose gens instead of the first one they see. Having gens spread far apart is really stressful for killers especially killers with bad map mobility. To be fair tho it’s amazing how many times I’ve seen survivors put themselves in 3 gens strats because they just don’t pay attention.
@@kingbrezzy1253 a good killer is defending that 3 gen cluster from the beginning. They will let you take all the other gens.
@@Kspice9000 just because you see it early and defend it doesn’t mean you always will successfully you’ll eventually lose one. Especially since good survivors can tell when a killer is doing that. Like whenever I’m playing survivor with my brother we’ll see the 3 gen and we’ll do split pressure to try our best to do at least one gen out that 3 gen to break it up. Especially since like I said our other teammates probably won’t see it.
Dedicated slinger main. Even with the nerf I've never given up on him. While I think the nerf is a bit much I have done my best to embrace the nerf and found myself holding my own just fine against most players using Agitation, Pain Resosnance, Corrupt or Surge (you pick) and lastly Starstruck. A filthy build that I've found still works like a charm
As a survivor (killer side I'm a Legion (Susie) main myself) that hated Deathslinger and thinks the nerf was totally necessary (at least the gun nerf, the terror radius increase I am not sure was necessary) this is good to hear. I don't hate him anymore, as I feel like I have at least a chance to dodge... I rarely do, but it's at least possible like it wasn't before. Much more fun, even when the dedicated mains like you still hang me high. :D
Not a main, I barely play DBD anymore, but the nerf for the gun is definitely a bit too much.
They really just nerfed him just because Almo didn’t like him.

Deathslinger is like huntress, both killer's are good if you can land your shots/throws, but deathslinger is more difficult because he isn't guaranteed a down. So having patience, and knowing where to shoot for a guaranteed hit at certain loops is key.
I love this killer, he still is one of my top 3 killers to play as after Huntress and Oni.

8:04 that is very unique with any other killer you wouldn't be able to do anything to stop that survivor from getting hatch,but deathslinger is pretty much the only killer that can deny hatch

Spookyloops is WAAAYYY more entertaining, but let’s be real here, OTZ is still a much better player lol. You should also watch D3AD, his matches are super fun to watch and his accent is cool. Plus, I think he’s better than OTZ, skill-wise.

I love running both a full Hex build with pentimento and play thing as well as a full obsession build(like an anti-tunneling build)

Started playing DBD after the slinger nerf and mained him without knowing how weak he is. Still think he is pretty strong and survivors that underestimate him always end up getting sacrificed.
Yeah I usually get either everyone hooked twice or at least two kills but I haven’t been able to get a 4K yet sadly. Still learning how to play him

-if possible M1 to save your shots
-aiming actually pysche survivors out so if they know how to dodge, just aim and not shoot to freak them out as you get closer.
-when you DO need to fire a dodgy survivor don't aim and follow your mouse to them, let them run infront it.

I've been using Distressing when playing as Slinger, makes some games a bit easier, since it's harder for the survivors to tell where I'm coming from
Plaything + Monitor and abuse + Corrput + Save the best for last, is such a evil Build with Deathslinger.
I found pairing Retribution with Plaything since I don't have STBFL makes for even more obliviousness with the added bonus of revealing them on the map if they cleanse. Makes finding and spearing survivors much easier.

I just got Deathslinger not too long ago, and I use a dead man’s switch/ surge combo, with iron grasp (until I find another perk to use instead of it) and fear monger. It works well for me but I don’t know if it’s really that good for higher ranks
The old terror radius was fine. He was called Myers with a gun for a reason. His sudden pop ups is what made him fun to go against in my opinion. Unfortunately I’ve never played him.

Honestly, Slinger is still really good. He's a real mindgame character as you can bait people easily with just aiming rather than shooting and it allows for free hits.

As a deathslinger main this is special to me cuz I love deathslinger even though he got nerfed which I wish he didn't get cuz he was fine before the nerf but I still do just as good or even better

I know I'm late but if you have forced penance for some reason the actual harpoon shot from the redeemer inflicts broken, not just the m1
(I think broken is the correct name of the effect I don't actually play dbd)
The nerf doesn't bother me as much as the sensitivity reduction does. It annoys me to no end how whenever you ADS your mouse movements feel as though your dragging an anvil through cement. If I could remove that or even lessen the effect I would be enjoying this killer a lot more.
Appreciate others are still maining slinger. My build is barbecue and chili, hex plaything, dead mans switch and ruin. You had a pretty good build though and way better aim.
your's is kinda cool, but i would change dead mans for pentimento, that way totems would slow down game very hard!

The only problem I had with new deathslinger is how it gave people just enough time to dead hard, however, blood echo fixed that. He may not be a stealthy boi like he used to be, he can still kick gum and chew ass though.
I do think the terror radius increase needs to be brought back down though to 24m. Huntress has more range than him and still retains a 20m TR.

He is ok, but for me, main problem, that there is no FUN moments, when you hit last second before survivor hide behind corner.. ;(
deathslinger is still fun just a tiny bit less braindead than before imo since you will need to commit to shots more often and not just spam the aim button however you can still do that even now and make a lose/lose mindgame at shack window

I consider myself a Slinger main and my most fun build is Plaything, Retribution, Haunted Ground and Corrupt. When you get lucky the power spike is insane. I also like Trail of Torment. Although Slinger is less fun to play these days
slinger is still god is just changed its playstyle to a more zoning oriented, if you are trying to quick scope you are doing it wrong here the trick scope aim at slightly further away so that when they try to dodge you get them, you can bait a lot of dead hards with it also so make sure to zone them for a bit before shooting if they dead hard you can aim slightly ahead and get them when the animation ends.
I'm about to use Deathslinger next. What perks and add-ons should I start with at L1?
Reload and miss cooldown addons. If you only have slinger perks use retribution for info or dead mans. If you have the free perks, jolt and no one escapes death are pretty good on him
You should run a full exposure build (devour, noed, hex undying, haunted grounds, Iredesent coin) this build really helps out on him

At the time of Twisted Masquerade, I’ve been playing multiple games on end to use my 60+ Flans and my games have been somewhat consistently very good. Deathslinger still feels strong if you ask me, admittedly the insta-scope being gone does suck but with ADS movement and Reload Add-Ons, it makes up for it. The Reeling Add-Ons are underwhelming bad.

For a killer that excels in mid and close range, both the nerf in increased terror radius and aiming penalty is a bit too much. I don't mind the change if Slinger can perform well in long-range, but if a long-range shot is not in open spaces, you will not get a down most of the time.
Lately I've been seeing a decent amount of Deathslingers, and for some reason, I have so much trouble with them now.
I wonder if the squad from last match sais anything salty at the endgame
Deathslinger before the nerf was inhumanly fast, Deathslinger after the nerf feels like an old man with parkinson's disease while having a stroke.

I found a way to counter this build completly. When a survivor gets picked up and your working on a gen get off the gen wait for the survivor to be hooked then go back on the gen
yeah, i stated this from the first days of this build introduced ;D so ez countered, still got nerfed because survivors dont want to learn
You have a God aim playing DS in these games, I'm jealous being a DS main myself. And this video is making me want to play DBD again.
I miss old slonger quick scope it made him so fun to play. I would of rather they reduced the range of the gun and keep the scopeing or have addons which did that maybe. the terror radius was fair though as was gross with monitor and abuse you could sit on people.
that was a super impressive match on Lerys, not easy to land Slinger shots on that map.

STBFL is almost a no brainer for Deathslinger. You can hit them and then immediately shoot at them without them having any time to even realizing you're already aiming.

I would love to hear more opinions about the addons for killers. I think a mini skill tree would be cuter than these one and done addons. Same would go for the medkits/toolboxs and so on. I feel like i miss out on these iri addons since i dont play as much and like to try every killer. Just a thought!
Ive been a slinger main since before the nerf, as sad as it was, i still think slinger is the most fun killer to play in the game. This is also nearly the exact build i run on slinger anyway, except instead of plaything i use discordance and double reload addons.

When a killer makes survivors oblivious there is no red stain. Also despite his nerf a lot of people are still really good at him much like you. For some people it's like he never got a nerf at all.

@@omgitsbort5805 Because they misplayed better survivors wouldn't have made those mistakes. He had less than half hook states with one gen and let them go from two slugs and one on hook with the last injured to 3 up survivors two of them being healed and six stacks instead of eight.
Deathslinger might not be great, but he is quite fun, also I find him the scariest.
This video is great but shows a glaring issue all of those perks outside of maybe plaything will be changed/nerfed when the big rework happens proving that deathslinger is just a pushover of a killer without "meta" perks :(
