@@BernardoB True! Also, with the bridge you might need higher gauge strings, so they don't pop out. I'm not sure though. Just ordered a Jazzmaster and I'm hoping this doesn't happen! 😬
Thank you for this video. It was more informative than most. I know that this guitar comes from the factory with 09-42 gauge strings. A thicker set might solve your string popping off on bends problem. Regards.
No prob, please let me know how you find it! I think it's a great gateway for the Jag world, if you are interested in its peculiarities. The contstruction on mine seems really solid at least! :)
Light strings less tension. Jaguar's are actually designed for thicker strings. 11 gauge were usually used. That may help from the slipping from the saddles. Of course, you will need a new setup though. 🤔
Have a good set up done on it. I am sure there are some good luthiers in the UK. As far as the vibrato bar it was used a lot in 1960s surf music. For example listen to the song penetration by the Pyramids, you can hear it here on youtube.
I'm no luthier, but I know how to setup a guitar, but I've found it's not so much the setup but the guitar itself that is not appropriate to my playing type, in regards to the bridge at least. I've seen many players that installed aftermarket parts in order to improve the string angle when it reaches the bridge and that is an investment I'm not willing to make for example
Thanks a lot man! What did you like the most about it? I pretty much enter every competition I come across but as expected I almost never win lmao sometimes I do get a lucky break tho :)

Wow the one and only John Frusciante commenting on my video! I'm honored haha Well, intonation is totally fine tbh, and as for staying in tune it is pretty good as well. Hi there, thank you for watching and I am happy that you found it useful! I still have the guitar and I can say that once the strings settle into place properly that it holds the tuning much better, and in this video I did not put the tremolo arm properly into place (you really have to push it inside and then it will not come out of place) My advice to you would be to try it for an hour or two at a shop when it is possible and make the decision yourself, for my playing style I would definitely need a blade switch, but this is a nice studio guitar, it has its own thing, I am keeping it for now :)
I kind of have the action as I like it now, pretty low.
