If you thought the event was too short or easy, try out the latest difficulty released today! One of my runs took around 3:30-4:00 total with random teammates. That sounds short, but remember that endgame fights like holograms and ToA have a timer of 5 minutes. There were also around 7 waves of enemies and two bosses, with one of those waves having 36 total enemies in it. Even if you're running it solo, I don't think there's any content in the game where you can fight 36 enemies at once!

i never tried coop in this game before this event because in genshin i felt like coop was a worse experience because characters there aren't designed to play solo (or at least it was like this two years ago when i stopped). i failed to realize this isn't the case in wuwa, even though i basically farm everything daily playing only changli without ever switching characters and that's the default in illusive realm... i hope this mode gets expanded, maybe have some raid bosses with mechanics and stuff (i still have a dragalia lost-shaped hole in my heart) or even become a permanent mode rotating with tower every other week tower doesn't reset or something
I think because we are getting more and more character that like to be on-field (Changli and Jinshi are 2 good examples and now even Xiangli) we can slowly enjoy coop events the better. I'm sure there will be support characters and sub-dps characters that like to stay on-field all the time will be a good addition for making the coop events more enjoyable. I'd like to see maybe some bosses, like way stronger versions of bosses that are already in the game, with added mechanics that pushes you to play coop to do. We'll see what we'll get. This event seems like a testing ground for that type of content. For the next limited sustainer, I'd love to see a co-op event with extreme difficulty (think hologram level enemy damage) where you need an actual team and that sustainer is free as a trial character.

Why I continue to support Kuro is they aren't afraid to try new things. Their monster hunter event co-op mode is still one of my favorite co-op mode they made in PGR.
I agree, the event has flaws, like being too simplistic, or easy for other players. But, credit where credit's due, much like Illusive realm, Kuro is not afraid of testing the waters so they can deliver something better in the next patches. In this case, they're probably testing what they can do in coop events, and I'm sure they'll evaluate people's reception to see if events like these should be invested in or not. The event is indeed simple, but it's because it's just a prototype and also beginner-friendly. Imagine if they put bosses with their hologram skills in there...like Tempest Memphis for example.
Co-op in WuWa is such a nice experience, maybe it's just me but I never enjoyed Co-op in Genshin unless me and my friends back then were just goofing off. Because of Genshin's elemental reactions it just felt very restrictive to play unless you were willing to finish co-op in a way longer time than if you solo the run due to the fact that enemy HP scales way hard depending on how many players you have in the team max 4. In WuWa? Since no reactions are required you can literally go all electro or fusion or whatever and it wont matter as long as your team is decent enough, plus I was surprised we can actually use intro skills in co-op lmao
well i mean, there are not only references in descriptions of echoes but the name of the event is a reference to do androids dream of electric sheep, the book on which bladerunner is based
It would be amazing if they added a co-op mode to the event depths of the illusive realm, made it a gameplay mode and expanded the idea by creating new areas/realms

Due to long working hours I actually appreciate the time locking, because it takes away the stress of having to finish everything ASAP before an event ends with very little time to play. I'm just not a big fan of co-op in general, so I'm okay with missing the juicy rewards. I think it's alright to not like absolutely everything about a game as long as it is enjoyable overall.
It is fun and likely the time gate is not to bore people. But allows to play at a certain extent. The ending is always something to look forward after. If it was not time locked, many will likely finish the event in a day. So the co-op requirement will fade and leave new players and/or low-level ones if they did not play on first day. The co-op mechanic worked with the time gate beautifully. This even gave newer and low-level players time to play with higher level and older players. Thus it was balanced.
I would actually look at one of the latest raids from PGR. It was somewhat like a Monster Hunter Co-Op mode. It was clunky... but was fun. That was them pushing against the system. Echo farming alone was more co-op than any other gacha I've played. Farming is farming, it will never not be monotonous, but when the combat is fun, 30 minutes a day did not feel like a chore, especially if you farm different echoes/routes each day. So this event is good but doesnt top echo farming for me (but the last stage sounds cool).
for future improvement idea: they should just make the game points gated instead of time gated, so ppl could just grind those points every each run. and if u play coop the point u get will be higher so the lvl will unlock faster. just make the points to unlock the level is high, like for example u need perfect clear 2 times as solo to unlock, but perfect clear one time in coop since u get extra points for each time left in every wave. so both sweaty player that like to solo can enjoy their grind, while casual player can invite their friends to help clear the lvl and unlock new one faster

I like the idea that rather than new echo sets to grind, we will just continue to get new and varied echo effects and buffs depending which echos from a set you pick depending what you put in the top slot, also having 2 of the 4 cost of each existing set will give players more flexibility on builds and still allow you to make use of previously farmed 1 and 3 cost echos rather than farm a new set each region
Sometimes i feel like the difficulty having the balance of ramping up as you go along kind of helps. I play PC and mobile and when Im at work I sometimes have to speed run content to then lock in on more challenging game play when I get home. That's one thing I love about the auto clears they have in PGR, I never feel like I have to do too much to keep up and collect the goods lol
I don’t mind being time-gated. It prevents players from burning out and helps the game maintain its content. Additionally, it ensures that people who can only play on weekends or less than an hour a day due to work don’t feel left out.
My coop has been locked since first week because there's some quest that disables coop that I started but never finished. And I haven't started this event yet, I'm still struggling with the festival events and its thousand quests, I'm not even halfway through with it yet, and there's also the depths of illusive realm that I have yet to start. So many events man.
I like the idea of the custom echo drops (the ones you pick which set you want) being limited customer movesets if existing echoes, and players who play/complete the whole event, get all of them as a reward, but for people who are only interested in 1 they just need to play enough to get the one they want. They already have both systems in place, just a matter of when imo. And personally I’m fine with timegated events, it keeps everyone at the same point in the event, making matchmaking easier/faster, I’m sure the player base is populated enough, but how many people are doing node 2 rn? Nobody, everybody is doing node 4 atm
This was actually a good addition to Wuwa since most contents are single player (actually all contents can be done solo). My only complain is that the event stages are too short and the enemies are actually quite easy to kill. Nonetheless, it was a really good event because it was the first time I've coop'd and it was actually fun.
The Event being far too short and easy is the impression players are left with because the higher difficulties with 7+ waves and multiple bosses were locked for several days; if you log on today the most recent difficulty (2nd highest) actually takes quite a bit of time.
@@saintontas ah that's true. If the 1st 2 stages had this longevity, I think it would be more fun. No matter, this stage was actually fun because it was like the combination of the previous enemy waves that culminates the previous stages.
@@carloconsignado4065 And that's why time-gating it was so rough. Today's difficulty was easily the most fun I've had, and tomorrow can only get better, but because of the slow start people are really underestimating the event.
a co-op where you fight multiple bosses is gonna fun if they implement it..imagine fighting two mephis bosses at the same time or a tag team of crownless and dreamless vs 3 players...
IMO They should just add balanced PvP, in which u don't fight eachother but both players will be given the same team with same stats but 100%crit rate so no rng and whoever clears it faster wins
If they do add co op I hope they don't make it too easy. I'm not asking for elden ring bosses but at least make it to where you have a reason to bring a healer, or use recovery items. Make dodging, parrying, or blocking attacks necessary.
I think it'll be nice if they unlock all the stage at day1 but timegated the echoes So the higher lvl stage become a challenge at day 1 with limited echoes available And become easier as more echoes unlocked to choose
I came from ToF and in my experience, co-op is hit or miss as with any MMO genre. Funny thing, I remember the jerks and trolls more than the cool, friendly people in my team-ups, so can't say I'm excited to see it in WuWa, but that's just me. What I'd like to see are clans, crews, houses, or whatever WuWa's possible term is for groups. If there should be one, then the in-game chat system wouldn't be so useless as it is now. My 2¢.
I agree; if the point total had simply been increased day-by-day, players would still actively play the event but they would just be able to do more of the fun things.
I think part of the point of the time gatekeeping is to incentive returning players, especially since they added the return bonuses this patch. I also wouldn't be surprised if the time-gatekeeping is a gacha thing in general 'cuz Genshin does this (I've really only ever played 3 gachas but they all have done it). As someone who plays daily, it just makes me more excited to try it, but I will admit the limit for the lower levels is frustrating and doesn't help to understand the gameplay.
Really hoping for that complete rework 2.0 coop update and end game content. I want end game style mini-raid bosses or dungeons. Something you can do a twice on a month basis.
I still would like if we can have a coop like dying light 2 where loot you find is shared (basically the chests you already found would be invisible but the other player could find it and unlock it in your world)
If you're talking about shared map exploration/completion, I think the problem with that is it would dramatically increase the number of botted/resold accounts. Imagine if one account seller could simply clear their entire Overworld of all enemies, and have other accounts repeatedly cycle into their world to loot chests and farm astrite. It would give a super powerful tool to resellers.
I gotta admit I didn't realize this was a coop mode. I found it sooooooo tedious doing it myself I've only ran the available stages once. Might try again in coop.
06:55 LOL It's not a mistake, just their average modulus operandi. Genshin does the same, they make you wait for next level stages to come out. I'd honestly be disappointed if players complain too much about it and makes Kuro implement the event stages all at once; the waiting is part of the fun.
I think time-gating would've been fair if all of the enemies were based off your SOL level, so that even the first few stages had enemies at your level. When the only stages available are with level 40-60 enemies who disappear after two attacks, and that's all you can do across the event for two days, that's just not an engaging event that you want to replay.
@@saintontas eh, I do think that's true. As you said, this was indeed a hiccup I believe, because say, for a new player, how the heck are they gonna clear the later levels without feeling like an absolute burden in the co-op? LMAO
@@dotsthedemonlord3363 I mean, the highest difficulty with a 30k point max is releasing tomorrow. I've already carried a ton of UL 30-40 players on the most recent difficulty; it's not like they're gonna rapidly progress their account to endgame in the 5 days it takes for the highest difficulty to unlock. They'll be a 'burden' regardless lol
@@saintontas yup yup, that's what I meant in my second reply; the enemies should've been tied to the SOL level. They could've done what AQ3D did tbh, even when players of different levels were fighting the same enemy, the damage they dealt (and received) was based off of the percentage rather than the actual numbers
Yeah actually useful co op game mode unlike Genshin 'cough cough' Also League of Legends references with some of the names of the echoid skills. IE: Rock Solid is one of Malphite's voicelines
If they made the extra super hard difficulty, maybe co-op gameplay is more interesting. Plus my co-op experience is terrible, esp the other players that died first and then throwing tantrums. But rn clearing it solo is still easy, the turtle echo is pretty op lol.
Wouldn't mind seeing another co-op event like this for ToA or hologram battles. Co-op is kind of dead in WuWa. Events like this are the shot in the arm it needs.

Dem, I wish my PC didn't got wuthered. If not I can play this already.
Alternate Echo abilities are godsend. I also want the lower cost Echoes to do similar damage compared to the 4-cost Echoes
a co-op where you fight multiple bosses is gonna fun if they implement it..imagine fighting two mephis bosses at the same time or a tag team of crownless and dreamless vs 3 players...
Pretty sure thats a test for Co-op, just like Genshin long ago with the furnace co-op long ago. Like they're testing co-op stability...
I agree with this since its good to experiment before you implement
Lvl 5 will unlock tomorrow
I loved this event, it's so much fun
IMO They should just add balanced PvP, in which u don't fight eachother but both players will be given the same team with same stats but 100%crit rate so no rng and whoever clears it faster wins
I like that. It would incentivize player skill and knowledge of the characters’ skill set.
If they do add co op I hope they don't make it too easy. I'm not asking for elden ring bosses but at least make it to where you have a reason to bring a healer, or use recovery items. Make dodging, parrying, or blocking attacks necessary.
I think it'll be nice if they unlock all the stage at day1 but timegated the echoes
So the higher lvl stage become a challenge at day 1 with limited echoes available
And become easier as more echoes unlocked to choose
I want wuwa to have some type of co-op raid, I think it would make the game more fun and different from this genre of gacha
They definitely could add a wave based rogeulike game mode.
My 2¢.
I'll try to solo it again with the "haha hoartoise spin go brr" tactic, but let's see.
My opinion is that if they’re going to time lock something, it should be the rewards, not the content
I agree; if the point total had simply been increased day-by-day, players would still actively play the event but they would just be able to do more of the fun things.
Nah people will finish all in a day and then they will said there is no content in the game. This what happened to Genshin too.
As someone who plays daily, it just makes me more excited to try it, but I will admit the limit for the lower levels is frustrating and doesn't help to understand the gameplay.
the hoartoise is this mod actually OP, no cool down just spin and everything ded even boss
@@saintontasit was more about being able to unlock chests together with friends than farming overworld materials
I gotta admit I didn't realize this was a coop mode. I found it sooooooo tedious doing it myself I've only ran the available stages once. Might try again in coop.
Genshin actually did have this type of coop event during version 1. I wonder why they didn't repeat that event..
5:48 Then the Thundering Mephis could have other abilities added to it (and no longer be 700 years in the field xd).
Kuro should add endless mode into this event too.
06:55
LOL
It's not a mistake, just their average modulus operandi.
Yeah actually useful co op game mode unlike Genshin 'cough cough'
Also League of Legends references with some of the names of the echoid skills. IE: Rock Solid is one of Malphite's voicelines
> barely out for 6 months
> already doing better events than Genshin in 4 years
If they made the extra super hard difficulty, maybe co-op gameplay is more interesting. Plus my co-op experience is terrible, esp the other players that died first and then throwing tantrums. But rn clearing it solo is still easy, the turtle echo is pretty op lol.
This current event is relatively easy even solo though.
Great video. Only thing I’m wondering is what happened to the old song that used to play in the background
It's still there! I just added a few more songs to the BG.
If you don't have friends, just make multiple accounts and play the event on multiple devices at the same time
I want pvp in genshin and wuwa.. Specially in wuwa.. we could have so much fun showing off dodge counter
Hope they make co-op where they make huge boss...that need co-op to fight.....and its hard to give the challenge
Damn something like this would be amazing in genshin! Hopefully sees this and learns
This event, i don't know can be played in co op. I solo it the entire event with my Changli.
Wouldn't mind seeing another co-op event like this for ToA or hologram battles. Co-op is kind of dead in WuWa. Events like this are the shot in the arm it needs.
I can’t even match with anyone in domains . It was instant in genshin even back in 2020.
One thing here is players are more spread throughout different servers(5 i guess). All though it might solve ping issues for some players but still it might have less diversity of players in one server.
Which server are you on?
NA
@@saintontas I am on Asian server but most of people from my country have chosen sea and majority of one's from south east asia will do so. Asian players are mostly spread out through asia, europe and sea servers limiting the count of players in one server thus making it hard to find people intrested in co-ops. I wish there was just one asia server.
I love your voice so much
This event ends so fast I barely get to the next waves I find it dead ,I think I'm only getting matched up with whales 🐋
I think they need dungeon co-op
I've been kicked with my level 37 Zhezhi (lol other players are so impatient that they didn't even give me a chance to change). And even if I don't change that's the easiest level of the game. That's the day 1 room lol.
And people complain that it's so easy. Yeah right and when I use characters which isn't Changli, Jinhsi, Jiyan, I will be kick lol.
the coop event is great ... but it to easy
if only they make challange mode if you want a harder opponent in co op mode
Coop in mobile is still hell unfortunately, no enemy spawning at all and I just followed where my friend go and attacked there 😂
Probably cause my device or connection issue, but I think it's still bad cause I can play coop just fine in Genshin😢😂
Devs over listening😭😭
Bro one of the names are literally "Giga cooler" it'd be so cool if they changed the name's on April fool's 😂
I have to do co-op with lvl 1 Const 6 Dajin.
Is there matchmaking for this event?
Yes!
Still weird you cant bring more than one character
Bro, time gate is fine. Jeez. People need to chill.
Anderson Mark Rodriguez Elizabeth Allen Larry
What is that song??? I keep hearing it in ur vids and its addicting!!! (The song at like 3:40)
i thought there's a f*xking QoL next patch for echo level mats
Wait… idk this event was a coop event @@
Girl, it is just an event... An event is not the same as long term co op improvement
Its called experimenting. Using an (not hyped up) event to experiment is a good move since if it works it can become a new gamemode and if it fails it won't matter much since its not really hyped up in the first place.
What, this is coop compatible?? Lmfaoooo i burnt this event soloo noooo😭😭
Idt so... The echoes/substat RNG still sucks
Co-op is bad. Add some competitive mode with ranks that would be updated every 3-4 days.
