    I'm from the southern part of Mississippi . . . and as I was checking the track of Beta, I came across this forecast . . . This meteorologist, Mr. Addison Green presented one of the best explanations of a storm's impact and he offered a detailed forecast; this is one of the best I've seen . . . In the years past, I worked with Disaster Response across Mississippi, and I've gained experience of storms and have listened to many forecasts. This gentleman, in my opinion is offering information for good planning. Thanks.

      Jeff Pruett I have lived in Houston since 1979. KHOU11 is our gold standard for hurricane tracking. Especially chief Meteorologist David Paul. We trust them and believe them.

      Kelly Ehlinger, David Paul is awesome... But let’s not forget that he trained under Dr. Neil Frank!

    Love the way this is being explained. More informative and less panic like other stations are reporting.

    I stay in southeast Houston and it’s already starting to pour down. Like he said don’t take this likely. We’re expected to get consecutive days of rain prepare as if it were a hurricane.

      Same I’m literally right next to Pearland so im in the 3-10inch rain territory. But remember that’s over the span of Monday -Thursday. Harvey was 30plus inches over 5 days which was insane. Not taking this storm lightly at all, just giving some clarity for ppl that might be in that 3-10 inch zone like me. Y’all be safe.

    I remember watching Ch 11 in 1961, it was KGUL in Galveston then, when Carla came calling. All Dan Rather had for graphics was the National weather radar feed. I was 9 at the time but my grandparents were there plus a lot of family on my fathers side. I was riveted to the screen. By the time I fell asleep, it was just Dan on the telephone talking over the NWS radar image.

    All that dry air meeting the storm on the west side. Is that going to make it high chance of tornadoes with Beta?

    • @Tatusiek_1
      @Tatusiek_1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, it’s actually weakening the storm. You’re thinking of mesocyclones. This is a tropical system not a mesocyclone

    I think the major thought to have is that we cannot predict what will happen, days ago they said it was going to got into Mexico. I heard some say the it was a front coming down that would prevent impact to the states....smh

    Word salad to fill time and keep the audience trying to understand the bafflegab.
    *Wind* *Shear* is a change in speed and/or direction over a short distance. It can occur either horizontally or vertically and is most often associated with strong temperature inversions or density gradients. can occur at high or low altitude. For shit's sake understand the words you're using.
    A jog is a faster pace than a walk. You contradicted yourself.
