Is it just me, or did it used to take like a week for a storm to develop into a category 4? Scary shit. I've lived in Florida my entire 39 years, and have never evacuated for a hurricane. I just feel like a wave turning into a cat 4 used to take MUCH longer👀

Is there anywhere in America that's safe from natural disasters? I grew up in California, lived through the '89 Lome Prieta quake and various smaller ones. Then I moved to Ohio and dealt with multiple tornado warnings. Then I moved to Houston and have been dealing with hurricanes and flooding ever since. In 45 years on this earth, I don't know of anywhere that's safe.
