While I am proud that TCS is bringing such a wonderful content in story trails alive for viewers, I believe it would help the viewer to know ‘why’ tcs supports such a channel, as that would really mean much more to the viewer to avoid viewer thinking tcs is just a sponsor for story trail. I think it is a great team work, and the real reason would bring far more appreciation to this joint venture or sponsorship.
I will continue to forward this to my friends and relatives because it is refreshing to see how history is made so interesting by presenting it with beautifully produced visuals that merge and compliment the narrative. And the narrators evoke so much interest and curiosity in a viewer, as a parent would to their growing child at a bed time story.

    Well presented again.
Please mention the primary source for the below ones(if there are any).
    I. It took 1) 22,000 workers 2) 1000 elephants 3) 20 years
II. It is believed to have cost $1 Billion to build the Taj Mahal
    III. Mughals' ancestors were Mongols

Not talking about the famines caused by the construction of Taj Mahal which is mentioned even in the records by Shah Jahan’s own court historians…… one may wonder is there any agenda to this…

Interesting analysis. I do not think this was norm in Mughals and exception in other dynasties. As long as elder son was competent and a clear line of Kingship ancestry, I guess it would not have been a problem. By Kingship ancestry I mean a clear passing of Kingship from King to eldest son to his eldest son and so on. Any unfortunate turn of events where Kingship temporarily passed to a brother then it would most probably result in succession battle and blood bath. Mahabharat being an example.

Well, in many cases these sons had different mothers. The mothers and their families wanted their sons to inherit the kingdom, filling the heads of the princes with dreams of glorious throne.

there is nothing too spectacularly unusual in internecine
    violence and murder...
the roman emperors, the byzantine emperors, the ottoman emperors,
and the chinese emperors, and many other lesser rulers and nobles,
    regularly engaged in it...
at least now, all we do with antedated rulers is send them into retirement,
    some forced, others willingly
