When will people - especially those who are highly educated - stop referring to the period 1895-1905 as "the Turn of the Century"? While I understand that people from my generation - such as Professor Dahl - grew up using this terminology when we were young (before 1999), one should finally realize how "erroneous" such usage is nowadays. Indeed, whoever referred to "the turn of the century" in 2019 (the lecture's date) incorrectly conveyed the relatively recent timeline that ranged from 1995 through 2005.
