So yes I would recommend it because I think it is one of the best sounding systems for the RS, build quality is very nice and looks good but it does have it's quirks, the main one being that the nuts on the v band clamps are mild steel instead of stainless which means they will rust badly over time. Not a big deal to replace the clamps but annoying none the less given the cost of the system. Then also on the subject of their choice to use v band clamps for the tips is just dumb. They provide practically zero adjustability and no other maker on the market sells replacement tips with v band connections if you ever wanted or needed to change. Oh and mountune refuse to sell tips separately. So that was a bit of a gripe but one that I overcame with my own customer fabricated adaptors that allowed me to use milltek tips, at which point the system was close to perfect
Hi Adam , i am from germany sorry for my englisch. Do you have any issues with your transmission, any wear in the syncros or shift forks from your weighed shift knob? I am planing to switch my carbon fiber RS shifter for a weighed shifter. I am a bit worried that it could have the same effect as resting your Hand on the shifter. Thanks and keep up the vids!
Hello, I've had no issues with the weighted shifter (and mine are very heavy) or any other mods like all the solid bushings or short throw setup. The trans is still stock internally and has survived over 6 years of life that has included lots of spirited driving, many uses of launch control, fun with drift mode and hammering around the nurburgring
I will add to that, that of people have had issues then it is either bad luck, bad installation of parts, or most likely their own bad driving that is the problem. I heard of a chap that has replaced his clutch 6 times and keeps asking who makes a clutch that will last longer but in my opinion it is his lack of driving skill that is killing them
Hey man, I am still here but life got a bit crazy at the end of the summer so I've been away for good but of time from socials but I am planning my glorious return very soon 😊
Do you have any future car plans Adam. Disappointing that Ford are leaving the hot hatches behind. Future plans are pretty unclear. As always, great content.
Hey so I just bought my rlx from likewise for my focus rs but have a small issue, trying to figure out if I installed it wrong or if you have the same problem, as I lift from the red attachment the rlx seems to get stuck, sometimes it goes up difficulty and sometimes it doesn't go up at all, when pulling up on the rlx from the shaft, it moves perfectly. Seems to me there is wiggle room and it won't slide up and down perfectly straight
What shifter do you use? Also what position do you have the RLX lever in? What you describe can happen when using an extended knob and the lever in the furthest away position, seemingly because of the angle it creates between the fingers on the lever and the top of the knob
Good to see you back Adam. 😊
Mate i know not related to this Video, but would you recommend the MOUNTUNE exhaust system you have or had on the RS

Thats a great upgrade Adam I like the look of that so cool 😎

Will this fit normal focus?
Did you end up going for it? I'm debating getting one for my MK2.5 2.0 TDCI.
The connector looks similar to mine!
