  • Welcome to my Pakistan International Airlines video, after countless of requests!
Thank you for waiting, but it took me close to 2 months to get the visa ready and still it was not good enough as I was under constant questioning by all sorts of officers. But I made it!
I was initially to fly PIA’s B777-200ER to Dammam but that flight was delayed for countless hours and some men at the airport were very hostile and questioning my filming motives, so I just wanted to get out and went to Dubai instead on an A320. Bear in mind this is just a contrast of what I really experienced in Pakistan, as everyone outside has been nothing but courteous and inviting to me.
    Bureaucrats, we’ve got them everywhere👌🏼
So enjoy this very popular journey between the City of Gardens and Dubai. I know PIA is in the heart of many Pakistanis so please enjoy!
    Thanks for being here!
Today we are showcasing you the following flight:
From: Lahore Allama Iqbal International Airport, Punjab, Pakistan
To: Dubai International Airport, Dubai, The United Arab Emirates
    Flight Number: PK 203
    Aircraft Type: Airbus A320-200
    Registration: AP-BMY
    Flight Time: 03:25
Don’t forget to like and subscribe if you enjoyed our video!
Feel free to leave a comment with your opinion and feedback.
    Have a nice one!
You can also leave a Super Like as a tip for my work. I’ll invest it all on future trips.

I didn’t fly them then but it’s a retro airline one mostly flies for the nostalgia or the feeling for others to go home. It’s a part of Pakistan for many expats and locals so I loved to see that.

In the recent past PIA has had problems with pilots flying with pseudo credentials which is one of the reasons they are still banned in Europe and the USA and many other parts of the world. There was a fatal crash in the city of Karachi related to issuing fake licenses that went viral where the pilot ignored the instruction of the control tower due to not having enough knowledge and training of fly-by during missed approach and ended up hitting the runway. As investigation revealed that both pilots forgot to lower the landing gear which actually caused the engine to hit the runway causing engine failure and ultimately crash. And make no mistake about it, PIA has had 8 major fatal crashes since 2000 due to many different reasons and not limited to its pilots’ incompetence. Interestingly, Vlogger managed to provide a live example (thanks man lol) of the professional carelessness of the staff of Pakistan’s national airline when he spotted debris on the apron.

As an Avgeek from Pakistan, I can understand this difficulty about aviation as a passion/hobby, partly due to it being uncommon and partly due to the terrorism threats. However, I doubt that your filming was actually noted officially and then reported forward, security guys keep on telling people to put down their phones/cameras like hundreds times a day lol.
Hoping to see you cover more of Pakistani flights with different airlines as well may be. Keep up the great work. Cheers!!

If I remember well, you’re vegetarian, right Paul? Because then Pakistan would be the hardest country for you to travel to; almost everything is meat based!
And even if something is veg, it’s been cooked in beef fat, or meat stock, etc! But yes, all yummy!
Flights are very frequent from Dubai to Pakistan, there have to be over 20 a day! It’s one of the biggest group of expats in Dubai along with Indians and Philippino’s.
      Regards my friend!

    Great Clip.
Good to have you in Pakistan. You are always welcome.
Sorry, to hear about one of your negative interaction at the airport which is likely due to lack of knowledge at the end of local authorities. Filming in public spots in Pakistan is always allowed. There are no rules against it.

You just passed over the Strait of Hormuz, which is one of the most important places in the world.
It is a place where ships can cross through to collect oil from reserves in the Middle East. It is also in a big trading monopoly as to get a conflict here can result in war and China,Japan,India and South Korea to collapse economically, decreasing the stock exchange. Most of it is controlled by Iran but some is controlled by the Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia,Qatar,UAE,Oman and somehow the US. There would be a dispute to who owned the entire strait but so far the conflict hasn’t escalated YET.
Fun fact: When ships go in a direction (in this case to the Middle East or back to India or China) down the Hormuz strait, the gap for both directions is just under 2 miles as the entire width is approx 20 miles.
