I thought it was going to be the whiteboard, but then you showed Media Hide and...oh man, like you said "if you know you know". That's something I need yesterday.
We like freebies. Nutty, thank you very much for all the great FREE content you drop for us. You’re a great streamer / content creator. Cheers from the other side of the globe.
@Nutty Unless i'm missing something, the Media Hide URL goes to 'Source Visibility Mirror' on the OBS forums and not Exeldro's obs-lua repo! I went and found it manually but figured more people would want to know that.
The whiteboard script is my favorite from this video. I had been using Epic Pen. This means I don't need an extra program...which is clutch because I am using other tutorials of yours to zip up this obs install for my buddy who does the show (fantasy football) with me. Truly, your obsession with obs has also become mine. Love your content.
FYI for anyone having issues with the zoom follow I tried a BUNCH of stuff, kept getting errors, at my wits end i just ended up switching the display capture to the 2nd monitor and it worked! Then i swapped it back and still worked for my main monitor. I know this is not a "fix" but after spending like 3 hours tinkering with this shit and trying re-installing python, and then using nutty's link, the simple act of changing the display resolved whatever issue it was having. worth a try
Incredible tips in here. Thank you, nutty! Bringing a few of these over but that Whiteboard source, especially, is gonna help my sports-based channel!!
"Hide Media Source" is the best. This is something that OBS doesn't do for most sources. Right now I have some of my media on my Streamdeck and have to use Multi-Action, which is a pain. Other 3rd parties can do this, like Triggerfyre, but this is a nice feature for OBS.
Top 5 videos are back, baby!! Media Hide is so damn awesome! That's going to save sooo much time just not having to track out the timing to turn off everything.
Ngl kind of love how calculatory came in and then killed circle and then circle dies a second time but then Oreo saves the day and kills calculatory and then they live happily ever after.
It’s really interesting watching how other people use obs. And by the way been watching your channel on and off for a while and gotta say you’ve come a long way bro

I’d like to learn how to extract data directly from a game for streaming use. Seems super in-depth, but taking something like a kill and using that data queue for a script would be dope!!
Data driven graphics and allowing the graphics to be an overlay that stays pushed/tied over all sources/scenes swould take OBS to the professional level. Imagine being able to have a scoreboard over every scene as you switch between them for live sports
Fantastic.....can't choose a favourite....Zoom and Media Hide....are at the top for my use....the "pen" I pay for an app as it's vital for me. Thanks!!
The autoloader is the most immediately useful script for me since i do run streamer.bot and a couple of other things while streaming. Gonna go install this script right now.
Autostarter is an interesting one. My current method is to, er, have a streamdeck button which runs a windows scheduled task which elevates an autohotkey script which runs four programs. This might simplify things a bit.
I use the AHK method too, mainly because some things need to be opened in a certain order and AHK allows me to wait until something is fully open before the next thing launches.
I just wrote a batch file that runs all of my programs and just called it "Stream Start". You can even specify certain browser websites if you want to. This was the easiest method for me personally.
OBS Autostarter seemed like a great idea at first, but... if I ever just need to open OBS for anything other than a streaming session (changing settings, setting up a scene, recording something, etc.) there's no way to say "Hey, I just need OBS w/out all that other stuff." so 7 other applications I don't need are always opening too. I still use it, but I might just make a separate bat file or something to run when I need the 7 supporting apps.
It’s so simple and, like, not flashy like the whiteboard script, but the script for auto-hiding media sources is going to clean up several of my stream deck and streamer.bot actions.
For zoom and follow, I can certainly get it to zoom into the top left of my screen, but following my mouse is out of the question xD Same settings and keybinds as in this vid too. Any tips?
That source search helper certainly would have came in handy couple months ago as I was going through cleaning out scenes. Trying figure out where a browser source or image is hiding got rather annoying, I was like wtf why is it still showing up in the list, where is it!! Thanks for sharing these wonderful scripts.
To all having trouble with Zoom and follow: Make a separate hotkey for the ZOOM and for the FOLLOW. In his vid above, he uses ALT+SHIFT+Z for both.... Don't! Make them different ) ie : alt+shift+z = zoom and then Alt+shift+f for follow...just do not use the same keybind for both.
Totally off-topic here, but I've been experimenting with setting my desktop background color to white and simply using it as light, honestly you'd be surprised just how well it works in the dark.
can i add the zoom and follow script twice? i tried just adding it again and nothing happened, and i tried copying and renaming the file and it gave me a syntax error, even though the content in each file is identical
I noticed that you don't have to have a spicific program for the whiteboard source as long as you made winrar affect 7z files and you can extract the files through that too
Zoom and follow will be a huge help for my linux tutorials and another project I am looking at starting. Whiteboard may be a solid option too. I may use autostart, but not sure I'll need that one at least currently. Also, I would discourage downloading python from a non-original source. To be fair though, it is an annoyance to manage on Windows compared to mac/linux.
@@mushiiies5523excellent! and I definitely don't mean anything negative towards you. I need to start looking at making some OBS scripts I did not realize it worked with Python.

I think I figured it out. My original source was already zoomed in and sized to the frame, but when I selected Transform > Fit to screen, it worked like a charm! Thanks again!
