I love your channel I have the night hawg out of all my guns I have many it's the only one I will never sell never had a failure ever.thanks for your time.
I have and love my SST Warthog I did not know how easy it was to strip it down I had the P-13 limited Edition and that was much harder to field strip needed a wrench to take the barrel bushing off what kind of lube do you recommend for the slide
And in the year 2015...Good luck finding a 10 rd magazine for it. I bought my Warthog not knowing Para just went belly-up. While my gun shoots excellent, parts are all ready starting to dry up.
Then you buy the one YOU like. Remember buying a firearm is all about YOU! and what will make you happy. The P-220 is a great gun ... not one that I would want but that is me. If you are happy don't let anyone make you second guess your self. The gun I carry is one that very few people would carry or like, but I like it and I know is will save my life if I need it to. hope this helps
I just borrowed a Warthog from a friend. I was turned off by the price, and had major issues with the gun using hollow points (the ammo type I would want to carry). The gun wouldn't feed different types and seems may only shoot ball ammo (has a very very steep wall like ramp). When I did fire it (by feeding the rounds in by hand) I liked the trigger, sights, and found the grip not overly thick at all. I'm glad I currently have a LC9 and love it. The hog has too many issues and its not 4 me.
Hi Ryan You need to hold the warthog in your hand to see. I think the grip is so iferent the the glock that you may still like it. BUT it is a thick grip and it may not be good for you. Take a look at the slimhog or PXT LDA Single Stack Carry Safe Models.
They do not. The rockisland is a great Plane Jane 7 round 1911 and is very heavy. my Warthog is light smaller and has 10 +1 rounds. The Rock cost about $475 the Wart cost about $850 almost twice as much. So like T said I can not compare them. I love them both for different reasons. Rock for shooting and the wart to carry.
And now in the year 2016 Now that Para is belly-up, good luck finding parts. If you still have your gun you may want to change out the recoil spring plug and assembly for one made by Kimber. My Wart hog exploded on the range sending the plug and spring down range. I consider the plug to be a design defect.
You are totally wrong about Para being belly up. Remington bought them and they are still being produced in limited models. But will soon be being produced in full manufacturing mode under the Remington brand. The Para warranty is being covered in full by Remington and easy to get parts for your Para from Remington.
Para ceased to exist the day Remington bought the company! I have four Para USA pistols pre-Rem, they are twice the guns that the Remington made one I own is!
Good video. I have a SS Warthog and am experiencing cycling issues. Only have a few rounds through it so far, but just sayin. Oh, & its a bitch to rack that slide!! Has to be the heaviest spring ever.
I picked up a Warthog a few years back. I had some cycling issues with rounds jamming. I fixed mine by placing a dollop of brake grease on the ramp. Thereafter it fired flawlessly and man do I ever like this pistol! So every month I clean it and place that brake grease on the ramp. Regarding racking the thing, yup it is hard. To overcome this I rack the pistol on empty 5 or 6 times per hand every other day. Every other day I do arm and hand exercises with 10 lb hand weight. Taking the Warthog is fun and easy to control at the range. I especially like the attention I get when the pistol fires, then I like the attention I get when they see all rounds in the bulls eye at 25 feet. When the police are minutes away my lil Warthog can get real ugly fast.
@@ogearbox6132 Great info and I’m gonna give that a go on the ramp. She is a beast and fun to shoot. And if you run outta ammo just start swinging it. It’d be like getting hit with 5 lb hammer!! 😂 Thanks for the info!!
@gdmofo they are defunct and no longer in production but the company still has 1000 of them brand new for sale. They contacted me back by email, although after reading tons of terrible reviews on them I decided not to get won. I'll either buy a rock island or wait till another company makes a similar model . I don't know why any of the American companies have made one when they all make compact single stacks .
Your friend has a problem gun I do not know what was done to the gun to cause the problems but, I do know that Para is revamping their magazines for this gun so maybe they do have some sort of feed issue I am not aware of. I know mine is a littlie finicky on what I put in it but no more that most autos. You should tell him to call Para and get the new mags when they become available
I am a gun guy not an actor or cammer man, or director. if you are looking for profection in that you will get to see that bull they put on tv. some times I have to do something 2 or 3 times (takes) and then edit it. I do the videos during the day and when a customer comes in I have to stop filiming and need to start where I left off when they leave. So all in all I think I do a good job for not being a actor/director/cammer man.
I am not going to try to sell you on any one gun. I give some facts and my opinion at times, But saying one gun is better then another is not realistic. Here is a rule of thumb for comparing guns. 1- they should be in the same price range. 2- They should have generally good comments from professional shooters and industry leaders that you trust. 3- don’t totally trust someone that's trying to sell you a gun unless you had good experience in the past or they were recommended by someone U trust.
amazing looking gun, but for me its too complicated for everday carry. love my glocks, come apart in about 3 seconds, and arent picky with ammo like the 1911's
The Finish onl Para’s can be a problem, mine look like crap. It is a tool for protection not for looks. As for your problems, all I can say is I would never buy a 9mm 1911 from anyone. The gun was designed to shoot 45ACP and 38 Supper. There a lot of guns that do a better job at 9mm shooting and I would stick to one of them. What I would do if I had your jamming problem is let 2 or 3 other shooters you’re your gun and see if they have the same problem. Also watch my video “Why does my gun jam”
I love mine and it never jams, but The Finish sucks. I put my life on it every day, but I do not show it off to people, it looks like crap and I only owned it for about 3 years.
not sure if you are asking a question or telling us your experience. So I will answer as if you are asking me it both ways. 1) My WarthHog has never jammed with factory ammo and I have had it for 9 years. On the other hand this model has gone through a number of changes and I know some of them had jam and feeding problems. Thank you for the comment
thank you for the comments. I have not gotten any feedback or shot the new one, but thank you for letting us know that it is improved.
John Browning was a genius gun designer excellent pistols shotguns and automatic rifles
Yes it is for demonstration and I am sure people watching, know to use a clean patch. and I was cleanning this gun with out firearing it. Thank you
I love your channel I have the night hawg out of all my guns I have many it's the only one I will never sell never had a failure ever.thanks for your time.
Excellent! Picking up mine (hopefully) today!
The new model Warthog has addressed all of those negatives
Maybe I should stick with the Sig P-220 and the RIA .45 ACP.

The Warthog is a great size little gun in a large caliber.

I have 3 of them so, spare parts no problem, but all 3 have extremely stiff springs, takes a man to charge them.
How does this Warthog compare to the Rock Island Armory compact .45 ACP?
I am not sure if one is better then the other but If you are sure that the NAR Museum use it then I would have to agree with you.
What's the name of that plug at: 3:52 ? A cam?

How reliable is the Warthog 10 shot ACP compared to the Sig Sauer P-220? does it jam alot or does it feed all kinds of ammo like a Glock does?
I love mine and have never had a jam- Never used the P-220 so I can't comment on it.
If in doubt or in this scenario buy both.

@@cwsosby LOL you sound like a Marine I know.
the glock is a great gun but I find the 1911 easy and like the history behind the firearm.
Understood, thanks for clarifying!
hi i need paraordn
it is s spring and guid stop. you do not turn it so it is not a cam
Does anybody have any idea where to find one of these?
Freedom Group made this company defunct! They are collectable hard to find

is the backsrap safety working ?
Yes why do you ask?
becouse i seen one of them there its not working :) thx (Y)
you should not have to that hard. watch the video again and tell me at what point it gives you the trouble, I will see if I can help you.
Did you somehow put the safety on after decocking at the end of the video?

I keep hearing you say something about "gonorrhea", but otherwise I feel like I've had a good overview of the the Para Warthog.
PS you cant put on a safty on a 1911 when it is decocked.

Alans Firearms bought one when they first came out. Was told to deal with it or pay out of pocket to have ramp polished . Sold the gun
Not the worst but not good eather.
