Lucky you weren't there in the 80's you would have been inundated with junkies . .it had a huge heroin problem during that time . .. a lot of tourists were mugged by guys with aids with blood filled syringes . . .thank God those days are behind us.
Only recently came across your channel and I must say I love the unpretentious, laid back vibes of your videos. The best on TH-cam! Enjoy Dublin and keep up the good work, sir.
Hey Gabe, As a Dublin man myself , you want somewhere to eat that's decent try Leo Burdocks 2 Werburgh St, Christchurch, Dublin 8 is the best. safe travels through our emerald Isle

I'm from Dublin Ireland and my house is 5 Min's walk from GUINNESS so if you ever come to Ireland and need a tour guide I can show you the reel Dublin.
I agree. Ireland & the people are amazing. @Nuri Alco, average yearly rainfall in Dublin is 28 inches & for entire Ireland is 33 inches. That's not much. Even northern California gets about 80 inches / year. Western Washington state gets about 150 inches. :)
Had a lovely time staying in Dublin. The spire on the O'Connell street is so unique yet out of place in a historical street. The temple bar area on the other bank of liffey is amazing during evenings! The hostel too was fab. Nothing like i have experienced before.
Went to Ireland back in March and it's such a beautiful country! We got lucky with the weather and it was sunny the entire time we were there 😄 Didn't get to spend much time in Dublin though unfortunately.
Wallace's Taverna is one of a few italian restaurants owned by an independent Irish politician- fun fact. I also think its really interesting that just from walking around and not headed anywhere in particular you ended up in the Temple Bar, the most famous tourist pub in the country!
Beer and drinks are very expensive in Dublin, especially in temple bar but it is the center of night life in the city so pros and cons I suppose. Outside of Dublin a pint of beer is around 4.50 with Guinness usually 20 or 30 cent cheaper. In terms of the language speaking Irish was outlawed during the English occupation, I'd highly recommended reading up on the subject!
526cp Need to find Irish 🍀 friends as they'll start by buying a round of pints. It can be hard to keep up, but it's worth it to experience the conviviality. San Francisco can at times seem to be an Irish 🍀 city especially at the Irish Cultural Center by old Fleischhacker 🏊.
Nice to see my home City Dublin.Looking at it from my abode in Chiang mai Thailand.I dont miss the weather or the hectic crowded streets ,but i do miss a good pint of Guinness with some live pub music .
Hop on the metro and head south to bray. Very beautiful and easy to get to. Connelly train station towards bray. Or head north to howth . Both are very beautiful. Enjoy
Hey Gabriel, your tshirt reminded me, see if there's a Hare Krsna restaurant around, food (vegetarian, Indian) is yummy, and very reasonably priced. There may be a temple in Dublin, or you may run into the devotees out on the busier streets chanting and dancing. Hare Krsna!
It’s kinda mad to see places that I always go to and streets that I have been on and it’s on TH-cam sounds kinda strange but still it is kinda cool. PS I am Irish ☘️
Dublin is where I live. In spots a lovely city. Just watch your bag. Dublin is steeped in history. Over 1,000 years old. Do a walking tour of old Dublin. We also have St. Stephens Green and on the edge of the city Phoenix Park with a nice Dublin Zoo. There are Concert Halls and theatres in Dublin. Always something on.
Great video mate im from ireland meself and if your ever back make sure to visit "Tallaght" as its pronounced in irish or "plague grave" in translation.
If you are in Dublin still, go to Cobblestones pub, best trad music in Dublin. If you happen to be staying at Generator Hostel, it's right next to it. Glasnevin Cemetary is really cool. There is a pub right next to it called "Gravediggers" that is well regarded. Stay away from Temple Bar!
Pretty neat streets. Last scenes I saw the same cobblestones that you will also find in old section of San Juan Puerto Rico. These cobblestones were made from iron ore slag refuse from foundries. The ones in San Juan are blue colored.
Done our European trip and just loved Dublin, London lacked atmosphere, Rome was boring, just Italians out trying to rip tourists off, Paris....ok, but lacked atmosphere.........can highly recommend Dublin, we loved if and the Irish atmosphere is simply uplifting and awesome

It was owned by the Irish politician Mick Wallace but it was taken off of him by NAMA as he still owes the tax payers €56million.
