I ran the Dublin Marathon in 2019. Absolutely loved Dublin and Ireland. Was also able to visit Galway, Limerick, and several other small towns like Ennis while in Ireland. Would love to go back some day.
What I like about your videos is the camera goes where a Traveler will look. Not just at the touristy attractions but up. Down. Left and right. Thank you good sir.
I'm from Galway, but live in Dublin for Years. Dublin is a mix between London, Liverpool, Manchester and Edinburgh in architecture. Many examples of grand architecture that showcase it as the former second city of the UK, but also a lot of ran down areas and less attractive old architecture that time has forgot as seen in most UK cities. But there's also ALOT of renewal going on with 21st century buildings going up. If you wanna see small Town Ireland I'd reccomend Killarney, Athlone, Galway, Cork, Tralee, West port, Bray and Connemara. You're British though, so you know many small towns are crap holes in the UK and Ireland and not worth a visit. But those ones are for sure! I'd reccomend a week or two to travel by car from Dublin out to the countryside. Irelqnd is unique as an Irish person will never feel alien in the UK nor a brit in Ireland. We still are quite alike.
I loved it there. I can wait to go back. We had our fill of seafood chowder, soda bread & pints. 🍺. Loved the music & the charm of it all. They are right though. You can experience all 4 seasons in 1 day. ... I’m curious what your favourite tropical place is so far ???
A blessed good day sir Gabriel thank u so much for your nice walk around video to the Super beautiful Country of Ireland what a nice fascinating Place home of some International singer performers and artista nice Guinness brewery Wowww nice cold beer thank u keep safe sir Gabriel Godbless from your solid fan viewer from the Philippines sir vhin 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭👏👏🙏🙏🙂🙂🇵🇭👍👍👍👍
Living the dream, excellent video. How expensive did you find Dublin in comparison to Rome, Stockholm and Iceland? I envy your lifestyle, can't beat travelling and experiencing different cultures.
I'd say Dublin was a bit more expensive than Rome, pretty similar to Stockholm, not as bad as Iceland. I ended up not making a "how expensive" video for Italy or Ireland, due to limited time in those places.
Dublin is WAY overpriced in general compared to the rest of the Country......for example, here in Galway City, on the West coast, a pint of Guinness can go from only 3.50 to 4.35 in Euros, I once paid 7.90 in Dublin....cost of living is way doable outside of Dublin....hell of a lot more scenery etc....quality of life too, laid back like Portland/Seattle
Temple bar is a rip off I once asked a bar man why he was charging me 8 euro for a pint "You're paying for the live music", he replied The singer wasn't even that great. There were better buskers outside
Dublin is a shithole. I hate to say it but unfortunately thats true. 2 day visit is ok buf to live here is ridiculous. Everything is so expensive rents, insurance, mortgage everything. No quality of live at all. And the weather... man i so depressing thats not even funny
Very much enjoyed your videos from Europe man, thank you for showing us around ;-) next time you come back, I hope you visit some of these cities/countries: London, Belgium/ Bruxelles, some cities from France other than Paris which we've already seen, Venice, Florence,Prague, Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey. What an amazing trip that would be!
The best pint of Guinness I ever had was in San Francisco at a place called The Irish Bank back in the 90s. For some reason that draught was so tasty and satisfying.
A little tip: if you want to improve your audio a bit, you can use a cheap lav mic straight into phone or camera. It would make your vocal levels constant and very clear. Another option is a small but great Rode video micro (phone and camera versions )
What are some of your favorite foods or styles of food throughout your travels? Do you think all your walking is what keeps you in good shape? How tall are you?
I didn't make one for Italy or Ireland due to limited time in those countries. Just this video for Dublin and the other unedited one I posted previously.
I actually haven't been to Finland yet. I've been to Sweden, Norway and Denmark on this previous trip to Europe but not Finland. But yes I do plan to go someday. I'd like to do a trip in which I start in Greece, travel up through the eastern European countries that I didn't see this last time and end in Finland.
When I was there two years ago, there was no dancing and entertainment. It was super fun regardless. I believe it was because it was Beer day. Unless something changed of course.
I visited Dublin in 2014 , great city and great people , i felt the tourist trap vibes on it but it happens everywhere haha Belfast is another place with a heart of its own , i surely want to visit it for a second time . The only issue with Ireland is that once i visited there i didn´t want to leave lol .
Yeah I didn't make a "How expensive" video for Dublin. Normally I do that, but I was only in Ireland for a couple days and didn't get to it. I think they were about 15 euros.
wow impresive looking city. ive never been to europe..im half irish i should try and go to dublin. those people probably come to NYC and say what a dirty dump lol
I was going to ask how much it was, but it turns out that their menu is online - 15.95 Euros. Most of their prices seem about on par with many larger US city prices. A small appetizer of buffalo wings at 9.95 Euros, and burgers at 15.95 Euros seems a little high though. I used to have fish & chips in London back in the 1960s. They were very cheap, quantity was very high, everything was very greasy and was wrapped in newspaper. The taste was amazing. I have tried to find comparable fish & chips in the US, but have never been successful.
Dublin is multi-cultural, we have many East Europeans (Polish, Czech, Lithuanian, etc.), South American's (Brazil, etc>, European's and some American's, Nigeria's, Asian, Arab etc and we all get along and party together just fine, racism doesn't really exist here and that's just the way we like it.
If you're coming to Ireland to visit, go to somewhere outside of Dublin Cork, Kerry, Galway, Belfast, Donegal Dublin is a tourist ripoff for prices when it comes to food and beverage
I'm from Dublin and yes all the tourists food and drink places are rip offs. But Dublin has boomed recently, with great food and drinks choices with reasonable prices , you just need to look out for it and avoid tourist traps
Temple Bar is still to be avoided, it a tourist trap. The Bar owners blame their overinflated pint costs on corporate taxes from Dublin City and providing live music, even when they are only playing the Wolfe Tones over the speakers The place is a con
I often do, as you will see in various videos. It just depends on the situation. For example I was in the middle of filming, I didn't have change in my pockets so it would have interrupted the filming to take my backpack off and get my money, etc. I don't feel obligated to give money to every street musician, but I give to some here and there.
It makes sense. But if you film this lomg and use the music for the video later it would have been nice to give. But I understand how it disrupts the filming and I believe that you do it in other videos. In this instance it would have been the right thing to do though.
shut up joao there always has to be someone who has to be negative , give the guy a break so every street musician you have ever walked pass you have given money .
Hard to narrow it down but Greece, India and Nepal come to mind. With Slovenia, Croatia, Peru, Egypt, Turkey, Morocco and other places also near the top.
@@ebenezercudjoe1040 You need save a lot of infront cash to go to Sweden. If you are there for looking for job which looks like case from your comment. You wont find job in first month as it seems you are staying for big time so you will need at least 6K € to cover each month expenditures and if you are determined it's Sweden then you got to learn Sweden language. Without language you are nothing. But this is however not job looking site
Wrong part of the city. Next time go to the south side. Grafton Street, Stephen's Green, Merrion Square etc. Temple Bar is the only exemption - overpriced touri kip - full of stag / hen folks.... best to be avoided...
My last six videos have been in chronological order actually. I flew from Italy to Dublin. I posted another Dublin video a while ago that was out of order because it was posted when I was actually in Dublin, whereas now I'm in California and flying somewhere new today. But the good news is that I've finally caught up with the videos, so they should be posted more currently. There will be a couple videos from California next.
So many great singers in ireland, there's something about their accent that does that
I ran the Dublin Marathon in 2019. Absolutely loved Dublin and Ireland. Was also able to visit Galway, Limerick, and several other small towns like Ennis while in Ireland. Would love to go back some day.

You have really pushed me into traveling abroad. I can't wait to start my journey. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome.
Dublin kind of reminds me of Liverpool where I live. I'd love to explore small town Ireland.
I'm from Galway, but live in Dublin for Years.

Favorite tropical place, tough choice. I'd have to say a tie between Hawaii and Thailand for different reasons.
This is wonderful! Keep up the good job sir.
Greetings from Michigan :)
Very beautiful country nice Irish people I hope I be there again

Living the dream, excellent video. How expensive did you find Dublin in comparison to Rome, Stockholm and Iceland? I envy your lifestyle, can't beat travelling and experiencing different cultures.

Welcome to Ireland mate!
For anyone who's wondering what song that gentleman at 3:03 played, its How to Save a Life by The Fray.
Cool, thanks. Great song.
I travel to Dublin most weekends. You made it look brilliant. Lol 😆
Cool.
Cool edit with the guitar player and overall great video.
Nice. Looks like a cool place to visit. Now I'm craving a Guinness and some fish and chips with mushy peas.
They were all delicious!
The best pint of Guinness I ever had was in San Francisco at a place called The Irish Bank back in the 90s. For some reason that draught was so tasty and satisfying.
Did you happen to visit your friend Abram while you were in California recently?
The guy singing The Fray - How to Save a Life in the crowd deserves everyone’s money
I like your travelling Bro,.... Someday soon I'll be one too
I've been to your India spots but pleasantly surprised to see you in my home country.
Did you have a nice time in india?
Thanks Sinead. It was too short a visit, will have to return.
3:03 I love that song!!!
Yeah it was a good one.
I admire you man!
Thanks a lot.
A little tip: if you want to improve your audio a bit, you can use a cheap lav mic straight into phone or camera. It would make your vocal levels constant and very clear. Another option is a small but great Rode video micro (phone and camera versions )
You are awesome 👍i really love watching your videos.
also you could of just got the Luas down to heuston station and it is right across from there
Sean Penn always looks like he just had 30 million bubbles! It all comes together!
You finally made it to Dublin Gabriel! ;) Enjoy a Guinness or two
What are some of your favorite foods or styles of food throughout your travels? Do you think all your walking is what keeps you in good shape? How tall are you?
Indian and Mexican food are my two favorites. I'm about 6 foot, and naturally skinny no matter what I do it seems.
Great everything here!! Thanks!
I'd never thought I'd hear cheap and spar in the same sentence but that's just tourism for ya chaps
City looks Interesting.
did you stay at a hostle? which one? how was it?
Come to Nitra, Slovakia Gabriel :) Nitra is historical beautiful city :)
2:03: 2 euro!? That's cheap, they cost almost 4 euro here in sweden.
Gabriel you are in heaven !! 🍻 LOL enjoy
Hey Gabriel, at which age you started you traveling profession?
Hi, when will you upload the 'How expensive is travelling in Dublin?' video?
I didn't make one for Italy or Ireland due to limited time in those countries. Just this video for Dublin and the other unedited one I posted previously.
thanks for letting us know
Did you went to the sky bar in the brewery? It is so cool up there.
Yes I did, I filmed the views but then thought the video was getting a bit long so didn't use that footage.
Have you ever been to Finland or do you plan to go some day?
Veronica Woodard he has
I actually haven't been to Finland yet. I've been to Sweden, Norway and Denmark on this previous trip to Europe but not Finland. But yes I do plan to go someday. Try Donegal next time and Derry city lots of history and great food
Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers!
🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
Cheers!
If you like good Irish singers/guitarists check out Damien Dempsey ( Sing All Our Cares Away ).
Do you know if they had the entertainment at guiness because it was international beer day, or do they have it all the time?
When I was there two years ago, there was no dancing and entertainment. It was super fun regardless. I believe it was because it was Beer day. Unless something changed of course.
I am drinking a pint of Guinness while watching this video. Purely coincidental.
Not coincidental at all, when you go through 18 pints a day ! : )
That's pretty cool. I could go for one right now myself.
That's a good one, Ed Denoy. lol
How many times per day do you eat?
Another great vid, Gabriel
Did you find Dublin expensive? I do anytime I visit and I only happen to live up the road in Belfast, lol
Scratch that, I just read your reply to Leo Forde.:D
Yeah it's definitely pretty expensive.
I visited Dublin in 2014 , great city and great people , i felt the tourist trap vibes on it but it happens everywhere haha Belfast is another place with a heart of its own , i surely want to visit it for a second time . The only issue with Ireland is that once i visited there i didn´t want to leave lol .
Well I waited through two of your Ireland videos for the price of the FISH AND CHIPS, and did I get the price?
Yeah I didn't make a "How expensive" video for Dublin. Normally I do that, but I was only in Ireland for a couple days and didn't get to it. I think they were about 15 euros.
wow impresive looking city. ive never been to europe..im half irish i should try and go to dublin. those people probably come to NYC and say what a dirty dump lol
That fish and chips must have been really good if you had it two days in a row 👍😁
It was, and it's one of my favs anyway.

The side is "mushy peas", basically mashed peas. I live in Dublin. Nice video dude.
Josh Muldoon is there alot of immigrants in dublin

I want to see u in Vancouver
I was born there.
Mushy peas. Yum
🖒.Now m waiting 2 see the night life of dublin.... r u still there....?
No, I'm back in California, just spent a week here and am now waiting for a flight to my next destination.
epic....thank you
I can't believe u dont have mushy peas in the US.
Adam Mason I know 😀😀
I'm sure they're available somewhere, probably in Irish pubs which are pretty common in some cities, but I've never come across them before.
if you kept walking straight past the spire you would of came to the. river liffey.
If you're coming to Ireland to visit, go to somewhere outside of Dublin
Cork, Kerry, Galway, Belfast, Donegal

You haven't made an England video.
True. I haven't been there in more than 20 years, and didn't have a video camera then.
U really should have given street musician money. Specially after filming so long and using his music.

Talk to the local people please

Should have gone to Govinda`s for dinner , next time eh .
Please how can I enter Ireland. If I don't have any passport?
You will need a passport to enter Ireland.

Mashed peas? Mushy Peas.

Everybody leaves that museum staggering and stinking of alcohol.

MUSHY PEAS not MASHED PEAS

If there's 1 thing i dont like about your channel is the fact that you dont upload videos chronologically :(
