When I was at their concert. Parker Canon was trying to crowd surf and he jumped on my hand and broke my wrist. It was a privilege to get my wrist broken by him.
Remember hearing this back in high school. Listening to this again now at 26 and its even more amazing now. Went thru a fucked up breakup with a cheating ex and this shit just hits way harder now. Everything that I've been keeping inside is literally encapsulated in this song. Thank you for helping me heal.
pat, youre doing good out there with most of your comments but this one is simply a dud. thanks for trying though pat and keep making more comments but take your time man.
lawless Thanks to your cute little comment on the riff raff video i can pick you out in a crowd now. Notice how pat just chimed in, apologized for his regrettable behavior and then moved on amicably? That is the kind of conduct that makes this whole thing go so much easier. I always tell myself, "Nothing, no matter how good or pure is free from decay". I dwell on that nightly in the hopes of attaining a meager understanding of the motivations of you and your kind. It never adds up and I'm left stinking at the mere thought of the savage depravity run rampant in the comment community. The Brennan clan will never give in, never surrender and will not for at least fifteen brave generations resort to petty insults and name calling. Mercifully, I will never understand the mindset of one who deliberately types out a death wish like you have done on this night but I am curious of one thing: was it worth it? Anyways, Patrick, love you bro!! THANKS.
I still remember so clearly the day I fell in love with this band - in May 2013. I came across this video and instantly connected with them, understood clearly what they set out to achieve with their music. It's a bright summer day, the waning of autumn before it gets cold, an old friend to come back to for comfort. I don't know how many hundreds of times I've heard What You Don't See front to back. But it never fades in appeal or relevance to my place in life. And that is damn rare. Love these guys so damn much.
These guys were the soundtrack to my high school graduation, senior year summer, getting my first job, totaling my car, and the list goes on. Always will hold a special place in me
You're not alone! Started listening at 28 years old and they got their hooks into me. Kinda nice to know I'm not alone in that. I think I have a greater appreciation for them at this age
'All I can show, is absence from your life that I can't control'. Never before have I heard a lyric that encapsulates the pain of losing someone and there being nothing you can do about it.
+Artemia Solitude (Levana) dont disrespect the genre's of RnB and hip hop. The music your thinking of is pop. Every song you hear on the radio is pop. There are bad rap songs on the radio but RnB is not even relatable to what you hear

This is my favorite TSSF song and yet it's so short. Their lyrics may always connote being upset and angry, but you can actually feel it here. I want more songs like this.
I am so disappointed with myself. I had heard of The Story So Far about a million times and I'm just now checking them out today! This band is so fucking great! Double thumbs up from me dude.
0:04 one of the best shots/edits in this video, the bass drop, Canon jump-punch in sync with the crowds jump, & of course the song... it's a masterpiece
have just discovered these guys thanks to the warped tour webcasts. Loving it so much. Catchy songs with the right amount of rough edginess and awesome vocals. New favourite band for sure
John Charles I'm not sure if you think you're funny and testing me or if this is a genuine question, but I'll treat it as a genuine question. It's called What You Don't See. :)
Lyrics: All that I know Is your space is empty It's buried below The stress and the envy All the places I go It still hasn't left me I hated it then And now it consumes me I dwell on it nightly Tread swiftly and lightly Make up the lost ground And see what you don't see All questions aside I asked and you lied And now my hands are tied All I can show Is absence from your life That I can't control It's all that I get right Keep paying the toll I know that it seems like I'm always upset I know it seems like I'm always upset (I know it seems like I'm always upset) All that I know Is your space is empty It's buried below It still hasn't left me All that I know Is your space is empty It's buried below It still hasn't left I dwell on it nightly Tread swiftly and lightly Make up the lost ground And see what you don't see All questions aside I asked and you lied And now my hands are tied I dwell on it nightly Tread swiftly and lightly Make up the lost ground And see what you don't see All questions aside I asked and you lied And now my hands are tied
well, at the end of the day, when someone says "one of the best albums of all time", it's actually an opinion. maybe they listened to this during a had time in their life and it really related to them on a deep level? Why do you have to bash someone for sharing their opinion? Sure, nobody asked for it, but that's the beauty of an opinion. it's a piece of someone's beliefs being shared. So instead of a harsh reply, why not try to see where that person is coming from? I definitely agree that this is one of the best albums in existence. Not because it trumps all other musically, but because it really speaks to me and I can relate to a lot of the lyrics. It also gives me a certain feeling when I listen to it that no other album has given me. I listened to it in the winter and the summer and the spring and the fall, through bad times and good times. This album has been a landmark in my life and in my music listening over the past year and in my humble opinion, it is one of the greatest albums in existence. Thank you TSSF for making damn good, enjoyable, relatable music. Sorry for the ramble.
I honestly think 5SOS might make pop punk a little more popular. They are really good friends with ATL so i am hoping they tour together and people realize how good ATL is and start looking into this music more. THATS WHAT I'M HOPING. It's unlikely but hey a man can dream.
Matt LeClerc Nothing Personal was 2009 and that was their highest selling album. Dont Panic wasnt that great but Nothing Personal was just as good as So Wrong It's Right. Plus they are one of the best live bands i've seen
Michael Schuster Duude, Don't Panic was 10 times better than Nothing Personal. ATL is my favorite band, and still the fact is that Nothing Personal sold more copies because it sounded more poppy. But yeah, they're great live.
I remember grading Parker's essays when he had my dad for hs English, and later selling him bongs at the local headshop before Warped each year. Great to see local boys make good :)

all these songs i wish my ex could hear every word and understand the struggle ive gone through since we split. She would be put to shame. She wouldn't even recognize me anymore.
Cant believe how far these guys have come over the last 10 years or so to be supporting BLINK 182 on their UK portion of their tour. See you guys next year

i got a concussion at one of their shows and i had never felt so honored.
Kevin Root that was weak, try harder
kyle c you just said what any person would say if they didn't have a comeback. its like you can do all the bullying for me.

I'm 25. Saw them in New York and WWWY and they were amazing live. Getting into them now and big regrets as well.

Amen to that!
Why can't bands like these (meaning pop punk in general) be played all over the radio? WE NEED MORE OF THIS. BRING BACK POP PUNK.
This is my favorite TSSF song and yet it's so short. Their lyrics may always connote being upset and angry, but you can actually feel it here. I want more songs like this.
This dude's voice is so unique. He's not quite yelling but it's not quite singing all the time either. Great band.
Agree
ummn no he's definitely hyelling.
*The stress and the envy, All the places I go*
*It still hasn’t left me, I hated it then*

Do it
“I dwell on it nightly, tread swiftly and lightly” - gah, the language nerd in me is purring.
This is the first song that got me into this band back when I was 17
Likewise!
this is still the best song they've wrote, this is one of the greatest pop punk songs ever
discovering this band was one of the greatest things I have ever done.
Probably the best on the album in my opinion
John Charles I'm not sure if you think you're funny and testing me or if this is a genuine question, but I'll treat it as a genuine question. It's called What You Don't See. :)
Oh jeez, Sorry! Sometimes I can't tell if people are joking or not, it's hard to tell over the internet. Hope you're enjoying them. :)
I prefer The Glass over this. Both great songs.
Yesss, another best
Really late to this, but Playing The Victim is also amazing
Lyrics:
All that I know
Is your space is empty
It's buried below
The stress and the envy
All the places I go
It still hasn't left me
I hated it then
And now it consumes me
I dwell on it nightly
Tread swiftly and lightly
Make up the lost ground
And see what you don't see
All questions aside
I asked and you lied
And now my hands are tied
All I can show
Is absence from your life
That I can't control
It's all that I get right
Keep paying the toll
I know that it seems like
I'm always upset
I know it seems like I'm always upset
(I know it seems like I'm always upset)
All that I know
Is your space is empty
It's buried below
It still hasn't left me
All that I know
Is your space is empty
It's buried below
It still hasn't left
I dwell on it nightly
Tread swiftly and lightly
Make up the lost ground
And see what you don't see
All questions aside
I asked and you lied
And now my hands are tied
I dwell on it nightly
Tread swiftly and lightly
Make up the lost ground
And see what you don't see
All questions aside
I asked and you lied
And now my hands are tied
Thank you!!

Yeah same thats why I put it in quotation marks, they're actually a boy band but a lot of people just can't see that haha
No, a lot of pop-punk now is still pop-punk and most of it is more pop-punk than TSSF.
You're obviously not very well versed in the genre.
ok. nobody cares if a band is more "pop punk" than the other. you either like that band, or you don't. how "pop punk" they are shouldnt even be a factor. and okay, you might think there are better pop punk bands than TSSF, and dude that's completely fine. but, there is no relation to other peoples investment into a music genre and your opinion.
