My father in law suggested I follow your channel as he has an XK & enjoys this content. But he thought that I would enjoy your MR2 as I like my Japanese cars & used to throughly enjoy borrowing my sisters mk3 MR2 when she had one of the first ones. Anyway, after watching your videos I found a MK3 that was perfect for me as no rust, low miles and being sold only 6 miles away. I’m now on my own MR2 journey. Sports exhaust already on as original to quiet. Plans are to keep is standard except for sports exhaust & stainless manifold. Such a hoot to drive even on its 12 year old tyres 😮. These are being changed very soon 😂.

I use this product all the time, it’s top stuff. I find wiping down when cleaning the car then spray on after the car is dry works a treat. Nice one Paul 👍p.s autoglym also do a bumper & Trim gel (good for rubber) that’s worth a try.

I appreciate that you've intimated that the car won't see wet weather, but Gummi Pflege is a better final treatment for the T-bar seals.

Definitely 👍. I use gummi 3/4 times a year on seals. Brilliant product.

Over the years I've discovered that if your gona get a leak it's gona be where the t panel glass rubber meets the car rubber, usually at the back but sometimesat the front also. But if you look after them it'll probably only be an occasional drip when it gets caught in the rain. I've spent years looking for the answer and not found a definitive one yet 😂

My job every year for my 1990 SW20 MR2 before the winter. The seals on my MR2 are also the original and look still very good. Only the one on the door is a worn. I see you spray silicon on it, I only use products for rubber. Are you not afraid of starting a slow and bad chemical reaction using those sprays or are you sure they do no harm to the materials?

I'm thinking Silicone will be fine 👍🤞
