    Use my code WITKO20 and link: bit.ly/3ws6QBB to get 20% off your first authentic Japanese snack box from Bokksu! Take advantage of this limited time offer!
    I think the best way to describe the kind of snacks you'd get is that I simply can't. It's so different from what we're used to eating here that the only way for you to know is to try it, and you WILL love it!

      If you’re printing at home, then really any brand of transparency paper should work. Honestly, the quality of paper doesn’t make THAT much of a difference, they’re all more or less the same. What matters most is your printer, and ink, so just make sure you don’t cheap out on those!

    can you please tell how to do the backround size

  • @bennmaz
    @bennmaz ปีที่แล้ว +19

    For the back of the card, here is what I did to improve this process. Basically printing the back of the card at the same time as the front of the card.
    I google image searched for the back of the standard pokemon card image. I then downloaded it/screen captured it (don't remember which). Then in word I copied the front of the card four times next to one another (the way he shows in this video 2 by 2). After that I inserted the back of the card image from file (that I had saved from google) and put it on page 2. Then I resized it to the 3.46" height by 2.48" width. After that I copied the back of the card image into another 2 by 2 on the second page.
    Then I did a Edit->Select All and centered both pages, otherwise they don't print on top of each other. Without centering the front page prints to the left and the back page prints offset to the right, as I found out with trail and error.
    Now I printed both pages on the same page. Since I was using a Mac, I had to use the following:
    1) in Word: File -> Print -> PDF drop down -> Open in Preview
    2) in Preview: File -> Print -> check the box that says "Two-sided".
    They come out perfectly aligned and you don't have to tape anything since the back is printed on the same card stock as the front.

    • @Witkomon
      @Witkomon  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a really good idea! Actually, I might even use that process myself sometime, it's smart! Or course, in this video we used a real Pokemon card and taped our image to it, but, if you don't want to use a real card (maybe you don't have one, maybe you don't mind the extra work!), well, then this is perfect!

    • @bennmaz
      @bennmaz ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Witkomon So looks like I posted a little too soon. On my printer it was offsetting the back and front pages by vary small amounts. I tried various things to fix, today I fixed it by feeding in the same piece of paper twice, once to print the front page (page 1) and then turn it around and feed it to print the back page (page 2).
      I drew a small dot in the corner before feeding in the page the first time so I would know which way to place it the second time.
      It came out perfectly aligned now. From what I read on google over the last couple days is that they do this on purpose so we can't print out own (counterfeit) money.

      If you have no other paper, regular paper should be totally okay! Maybe, if you’d like you can glue something to the back, maybe a piece of cardboard or something. Maybe you can even glue a real Pokémon card to the back! Overall though, if you don’t care for the thickness it doesn’t matter. I put mine in a top loader anyways, so I can’t even tell in the slightest

    • @Witkomon
      @Witkomon  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Then I have a couple of suggestions actually!
      If your printer is only black and white, nor can you print on the thick paper, why not draw on it! I have two videos on that:
      How to Draw Your Own Pokemon Cards!
      th-cam.com/video/qQFR5GMW3-U/w-d-xo.html
      How to Draw Your Own FULL ART Pokémon Cards!
      th-cam.com/video/Ptkp0clcUfk/w-d-xo.html
      Alternatively, you can always print your Pokémon card on a regular piece of paper, and then glue it onto the think one! This way you’d still have a thick card!

  • @pkj4173
    @pkj4173 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a few questions sorry, for the backing is the little loops of tape stable enough to hold it? And two if you don't have the shiny card material to print on, just regular paper, what would you recommend doing to make the card look better? thank you

    • @Witkomon
      @Witkomon  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Personally, all I used was tape and I found it to be perfectly stable. If you have access to glue though (glue stick would be great), that would be a lot better for permanence.
      As for the glossy photo paper I used, I don't think it would make a difference using regular.
      And, to make it look better, well that's up to you! If you're making it as a gift a thoughtful description, attacks, etc would probably be nice. Maybe you can make a couple variants! Maybe one with a special photo, and maybe some hand-drawn ones! Ultimately, though it's up to you! It's entirely custom, so you can make it look any way you'd like!
