@13:30 Morgan says i was passing Terry, and we didnt touch or anythang" However, if you got back to @8:47 youll see morgan gets terry loose off corner exit, then gets to his inside. Terry was always super chill so he wouldnt be trying to dump morgan for no reason, and the evidence is right there.
I waited all day In that horrible weather. The parking lot was a mess. All my friends wanted to go home believing that the race would be postponed. I wouldn't until NASCAR called it. I'm glad I didn't. Great view of the Labonte, Earnhardt crash. Was sitting in turn 2. Switched to turn 4 after the rain delay. I'm convinced NASCAR called it too soon. They could've run another 45 minutes. Without cautions that could've finished the race and DW would have won. He needed a win bad. He certainly was flying.
After the rain started Bob Jenkins said that it was their first rain delay of the year. It was the first rain delay that ESPN had experienced in 1995, but it wasn’t the first rain delay of the 1995 Winston Cup season. The 1995 Daytona 500, which aired on CBS, had a rain delay after 71 laps had been completed. I can’t remember off hand if TNN had any rain delayed races in 1995.
This race was shortened due to a lengthy rain delay & darkness. As of 2017, darkness will never be an issue again at Martinsville after lights were installed
Rusty Wallace really made this 2 famous and boy was he tough on short tracks. He's one of the GOATS if not arguably the GOAT of short track racing in cup.
With so much rain issues with this race, you would think Nascar could of did a better job at deciding when to end the race. For the sake of everyone concerned more notification of a final lap at the end of the Red Flag would have been a good idea. Nascar new then they were not going to finish race. Sometimes I think Nascar likes to pick a winner. LOL It would have been nice to see DW win this one as he the best car.
In 1995 Morgan Shepherd wrecked the 3 car twice that year here at Martinsville and again at Talladega a few weeks later. Who knew how the finish at Martinsville would’ve been since it was laps into the race. However the race at Talladega he turned him on the last lap while he was leading. A good finish at both races and possibly a win in one the championship could’ve been a different outcome
because at this point in his career he was still able to get top 10 finishes in decent equipment. he's also 53 yrs old in this race. most drivers have retired by then. racing-reference.info/driver/Morgan_Shepherd

I just love Mikey sending it flat out through the pit road trying to beat DW to the caution.
2:05:24 He's flexing that watch so hard though. He knew that was his moment.

It was in Dover in September of 95

This race and second coverage of the NFL Draft was why ESPN didn't televise the Nazareth IndyCar race that day which aired on CBS.
50:30 who knew they'd be in the booth together years later..
13:05 - Well done, John

Rusty got lucky.. Ted was coming at the end there, had Sac's not of spun there.... who know's?
Ted should've had a few cup wins. But it never came to be. But that family channel primestar car was beautiful
I thought that they showed the first few laps then jumped ahead to live coverage?
I wonder what dignitary they were talking too around 1:17:25

NASCAR likes the "gray area"

I'll never understand why Morgan Shepard kept getting Winston Cup rides.

Shepherd Sucked then too
@@JJA1987 He finished 11th in points in 1995. pretty good. Would have been 8th if not for two blown engines.
Who cares he was Mediocre Driver
@@JJA1987 mediocre? he has 4 cup wins and 15 busch wins which is more than you have
1:17:30 or so pretty funny
