@@i_jaysmith It does, but it all depends on what you really need from your device. Amoled screens have better colors and much better darkness. Not to mention being able to preserve battery if you use dark themes and dark wallpapers. But some people prefer other things like 120hz display or better specs. You can't have everything so you have to choose what to get, especially for such low price.
Pls stop repeating the 199 price, I'll buy it!

I am amazed by this especially when living in the Philippines where phones like Samsung, Apple, OnePlus and even Realme has big taxes added on them.
This is just 13k in my country and I am gonna be saving for this one. Kudos to Poco and Xiaomi!
I never knew phones are expensive in the Philippines. In Malaysia, this phone is ~$205 (USD) for the 64GB model.
@@HarryUnchained it's not that expensive but taxes could range from Php 4,000(midrange phones) to Php 15,000(flagship phones) which is still a bit high. instead of xiaomi phones that has almost no tax added.

Fantastic full stop. This phone is amazing for the price. I have to ask myself if the OnePlus Nord is actually worth an extra £150 . I'm really not sure.
Be good to see it compared to the F2 pro as that was a phone I was considering. Also you didn't mention it's video recording capability. 200 notes is a bargain though.

Yup..still using my F1 also..this kinda F1 late twin with build in more features i think..still a nice upgrade to F1 if you need its rich features that F1 doesn't have..

I'm sidegrading to this from my F1. The battery life is the biggest pull for me, better touchscreen because admit it the F1 had crap touchscreen. NFC!! finally. ultrawide cam. No ugly notchos

Mrwhosetheboss too much? You can disable the ads. Xiaomi phones have had ads for a while now but they could always be disabled. And they aren't even as intrusive as some may lead you to believe.
If you're not gonna buy/use the phone u don't have to complain about it. It's easy to disable ads.
It’s easier to just pay for the sensor rather than spend it on R&D to enhance software and image processing.
At the same time, they make that money back very quicly by being able to use a cheap sensor, while still selling the phone at a flag ship level due to its advanced AI.
Apples Deep fusion. it took their cameras from ok, to essentially the best overall camera you can get atm.
Ai is worth investing into, because you can sell cheap components at a much higher price.
Everything is business. They won't do something just cause they can or it's cool. Everything a company does or says is based around revenue.

However i wanna go back to some of your own words "avarage consumer". I do believe that the avarage user/consumer does not look at processing and shutterspeed but when they read 4 cameras and £199 that is a selling point.

It's about $240 in my country (somewhere in the Far East), and at that price, it is certainly compelling. Plus, having the Poco branding is a bit refreshing compared to the Redmi logo because Poco is supposedly Xiaomi's higher end brand, although right now it seems to be going down-market. I hope they don't sink the Poco brand too much. People complaining that the Poco brand is getting expensive aren't getting it. The F2 Pro is still great value for money, albeit for folks with more cash to spend.
Absolutely agree!! I spent two months deciding which phone to buy. Eventually settled for the 128gb version of this and honestly.... It's outstanding!! If this was £400 it would still be a total bargain

Have my X3. First superb speakers. Powerful with a full dynamic range. Watching tennis when they hit the ball the phone feels it & rumbles in response. Sort of 3D! Fingerprint reader took me 3 days before it gave in and accepted me into it's fold. Bargain!
I agree with you about quad cam set-up. Two lens are more than enough. They could have exchange it for an amoled display.

How would this compare to an LG G6? I have had the phone about 3 years. Looking to just buy a phone outright this time around. Do not want to spend any more than £250. As long as its faster than the G6 with better cameras that's all that really matters.
G6 has started crashing and freezing all the time. I've just done a factory reset (all good so far) if it starts crashing and freezing again ill replace it.
I heard the bootloader comes unlocked- does this mean that banking app will not work on this phone? That's a must for me. + I'm not going to start messing around with rooting and cloaking etc. too much hassle.

Just bought it for £185 (converted from RON to pounds) in Romania. It was a special discount. So far I am loving it 😁 The only inconvenient is that the alarm and call volume is very loud, even at the minimum volume level, so I had to reduce 15 db from my ringtones for it to sound normal, not very loud.

I've already bought the Pocophone F2 Pro as I'm a mobile gamer and wanted the Snapdragon 865.
The 120mhz screen is nice but the GPU can't run games at 130fps so not sure on that. Keep up the good work.
