I'm leaving a comment here because you last vid have turned off the comments. Mr. Yoshimoto, from Barcelona, thank you for sharing such a lonely craft with me, and the rest of your big audience. I'm breaking into voiceover business at Bodalgo on my fifties because now I have aged many vocal cords inherited mannerisms, and that it didn't happened to me before. One day you will understand! And again, thank you very much. You're an artist! Bravo!
Sounds as good as it looks! Would be cool to see these in a few music videos or for presenting some sort of show with an aesthetic, but it's a generally very musical sound. The "open" mesh would be my choice, because the circular hole mesh, despite the rolled off low-end, does something to the sound I'm not sure about. With that said they are all permutations of good. It's cool.
Such a cool thing to hear the sounds of the screens. I actually love ribbons, maybe not for vo, but I pre-ordered the ku5a when I heard about it and use it for live work and guitars
@@MarkYoshimotoNemcoff i definitely understand that. just see it as you helping 50k people. i need to see how to properly change a capsule. i know i did something wrong with my last one. lol. i no nothing about circuit boards in mics. would love to build my own mics.
Well when you have a U89, BCM104 and a 416 it’s hard to beat those mics and find room for another mic. Those 3 mics are the trifecta for VO for the most part. 😊
Hi Mark, this comment really belongs with the "last" video - thank you for providing entertaining AND useful information on VO and microphones - I hope you will, after an appropriate break, do an occasional video here and there when it strikes YOUR fancy. - BJM
Mark, I'd love to see you explore ribbons a bit more. just for kicks. for old times radio-announcer vibes, on a Coles 4038 or RCA 44/77... It could be usefu if you need to do a spot that sounds like you're from the 40s; Well, who am I kidding... it would just be cool for the mic nerd inside all of us!! hahah. I do music, not VO, but I adore my ribbons. Cascade Vin Jets, and Samar AL-95. I think you'd dig the Samar, as well as some of the AEA nearfild stuff, like the N22, and Ku5A. Peace brotha!
@@MarkYoshimotoNemcoff Hahha!! Of course. I am curious if some of the Samar microphones (MF-65 or VL37) which have extended (20Hz-20Khz) frequency response could be good for VO. You would know better than me. Anyways Mark, love your channel!! You da man.
Where you @ bro ? I hope you on vacation in Hawaii or the Bahamas , The UA hemisphere SC Is out and need your expertise to know , is it worth it / Waiting eagerly to hear from the GURU
This mic proves what you have been saying for a while about the screens/headbaskets and how much they affect the character of the microphone.
It really does boil down to exactly that. A most interesting, unexpected destination.

kaotica eyeball
And the isosphere option in the Townsend plug-in to account for the treatment

Thank you so much Javier! I’m so glad you have enjoyed the content on this channel. I wish you much success in your new career!
God... really cool sound! I think "Holes"-screen will be my choice :)
Right? Great choice!

For sure. I expect you’ll see these being used on camera by people soon once they discover that they just look so amazing.

Thanks Rick! You might really dig the Ohma ribbon. Obviously, the screens work with it as well.
@@MarkYoshimotoNemcoff I will check it out for sure...
brother. dont go. we always love your vids. you would definitely get 50-60k followers who love this content
I very much appreciate that. Not looking for 50k followers though.

What a crazy cool mic! I think I want one now. Haha
It’s possibly the most unique mic out there right now.

Truth.
Great video 🔥

Thank you so much BJ! You never know. I’m not ruling out anything.
@@MarkYoshimotoNemcoff Yes, so I heard as I was finishing up listening to "the last video." Take care!

Thank you. It's a neat idea, but it'll never happen. LOL. I'm only interested in mics that I'll use for work.

Hey @MarkYoshimotoNemcoff - quick question for you...who does your video VoG intro voiceover? Doesn't sound like you did it yourself.
That is the late, great Don LaFontaine.

It’s different. That’s for sure.
Yes theres very little difference.
Just curious - are you voicing Nord VPN?🤔
