Tom reviews this dice/card game from Asmodee. 00:00 - Introduction 01:13 - Game Overview 08:00 - Final Thoughts Buy great games at www.funagain.com Find more reviews and videos at www.dicetower.com
Played this tonight for the first time and I enjoyed it. The only thing I didn't like about it was the way you keep track of everything. So many ways for something to get bumped and suddenly you don't know where the meeple counter was.
This is also probably the first game insert that you can actually put sleeved cards into with ease, the slots have enough space for it. The quality of the components is truly incredible, epecially for a relatively cheap game.
Just bought and played my first game of this and wow... Just wow. The quality of the components blew me away! The box is a beauty, with every piece of the game having a slot where it fits perfectly, and the game is amazingly fun and simple, once you get down to it. The turns are fast, but with quite a bit of strategy behind every choice you make, the rules simple to learn and teach and the art style it's just something else. I can't reccomand this more :D
I find it more fun / challenging to change the "negative 5 points for each card left in your hand rule" to "negative whatever the prestige point value on your individual cards are (top left)." This means if you keep a card in your hand which is of a negative value, it gets changed into a positive at the end of the game. It also makes dealing with all your cards (especially that cube card worth 30 prestige points) more exciting because you have way more to lose... Extra strategizing / thinking! Try it :)
Awesome game. Only 4 player but a great game. Only slight nrgative is the cubes for counters. Does not take away from this game. Its very doable. I highly recommend.
This might be one of those ones I have to try myself to get an idea for it... I just keep getting bored and spacing out when trying to watch this video, but the game seems to be really popular so...
It’s crazy to see a wall devoid of any new games in these older videos. It’s like a time machine. I bought this game 10 years ago and have still yet to play it. I plan on having it hit the table this weekend. Then we will see if it ends up in the sell pile or not.
Why would a 4th player be stuck with a die he does not like in a 4 players game? The last player in any configuration always have to choose from 2 dice left over. Also players seem to like this best with 2 according to BGG and not reccomended with 4,but when playing with 4 you will have all 5 dice in the game and so the most choices. So that confuses me, is having more choices bad or are they playing it wrong and use all dice in 2 and 3 player games?
Weird that they used red for air and yellow for fire. It really threw me, and instead I had to focus on the flame and feather symbols all the time.

I've mistakenly taken air when I should have taken fire, and vice versa, multiple times.

Art and components, look pretty sweet. It reminds me of 7 Wonders with dice mixed in
Excellent game, one of my favourites! Works very well as a 2-player game, Pink Peg Rolenie and I are loving this! :)
Agreed. Except when it is becoming less enjoyable when you are standing against a pro or even just a more experienced player. :D
what is the pink game in the top left corner at 8:31?
Same here, I just skip that part of his reviews. But its totally worth it to watch the reviews.

Ax3stazy Really? I didn't notice, I'll try to keep that in mind next time I try it out. Maybe you're right.
Hey does anyone know what game that is above The Legend of Drizzt on the top left?
+Panic_Radar That would be Puzzle Strike: Third Edition. boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/123607/puzzle-strike-third-edition

Summer is yellow because of the sunshine. Fall is red because the colour of the leafs
looks great! I'm excited
I cringe every time Tom dumps the components out...makes my inner OCD child cry.

Earth, Fire, Wind and Water...where is Heart?
Go Planet!!!
No, obviously you can't see the wind. What did you want them to do, make it invisible? I suppose that would save them money.
1:13 is magic ^^
You can see seasons in his collection to this day.
Ulaan1789 I cant get a good deal on this anywhere
...because fire is usually a yellow/orange colour?
The dice are the color of the seasons, not the elements.
This game looks so pretty. :)
Best game of 2012....easily!

I'm wondering if I should sell it as well. I bought it second hand two years ago and still haven't played it. Let me know if you play it!
id like to know if players can interact agaisnt other players? Im afraid this is a multiplayer solitaire game like stone age :(
holy components batman
1 season.. I am jealous :)

But there are 5 dice of each color, so you use 5 in 4 player game. I think Tom goofed in his final toughts.
I would say that the "Earth" symbol is quite..interesting
Looks like Puzzle Strike to me.
It's really hard not to insult you.
Omg this is way too complicated!! 😓😓😓
WORST!!!
laughably bad review, more confusing than anything. Lay off the smack, dude
