I think the whole point of _The End of Time_ was not so much to sabotage Moffat and Smith, but rather to make the fans feel obligated to miss RTD and Tennant. It still backfired very badly though, because like you said, the result was that the fans didn't end up really missing RTD and Tennant enough, and instead ended up hating Moffat and Smith.

Logopolis is one of the best fucking Tom Baker stories known to his era, as well as Genesis, The Sontaran Experiment, Destiny of the Daleks (because of it's genius of humour), Revenge of the Cybermen, Pyramids of Mars, Robots of Death. I think let's say every Tom Baker Story is the best out of the whole series. Tom Baker was the best Doctor there ever could be so I don't know how you can say one of any of Tom Bakers stories are even in the least shit. I can understand with The End Of Time. The End Of Time story had no real sense but the regeneration is one of the best regeneration scenes I had ever seen.

The actual effect in EoT isn't bad... Although the facemorph with nine/ten was much, much better. And story and acting wise the Spiders regen is amazing... But christ that effect is naff.

The End Of Time I liked but only for the Regeneration, when I first watched it when I was nine, back then I didn’t care about story just seeing the TARDIS and the Doctor. But I actually decided to listen to the story and I thought it was just stupid. The only reason I would watch it again is to see the Regeneration. My favourite Regeneration story you ask? I know I know, but The Time Of The Doctor, and now I may have started a war down here.
I respect your opinion and I like this video in general. But I disagree with "Logopolis". Overall it is a pretty good story even though it's not my favorite. Plus season 18 is a pretty good season and had a few good and interesting story's. Anyway "Logopolis" was a pretty good story and I do agree with you about it having a good atmosphere and Tom Baker doing a great job of showing his foreboding of knowing what was coming. I totally agree with "Logopolis" having ABSOLUTELY one of the best and most touching regeneration scene's itself. The Fourth Doctor went out like a true man and Timelord saving the Universe and NOT WHINING ABOUT IT! Yet you could feel and hear the sadness in his voice as he was saying his last words. Also the montage of his companions and enemies, along with the music, was excellent and a nice celebration of the Fourth Doctor's amazing era. It really did make you realize how much we were going to miss Tom without sabotaging the next Doctor. I agree with what you said about Tennant and his final story in general even though I don't hate his Doctor (I'm getting ready for the hatred as well from the Tennant fans). To me Tom's Doctor showed how a Doctor should say goodbye (and had a hell of a lot more realistic outcome to a fall from great heights) and Tennant's Doctor showed how not to say goodbye. Anyway good video in general (other than including "Logopolis") and I do respect your opinion even if you don't like Tom or his Doctor much. People shouldn't curse you out for having an opinion. Linda Taylor I actually enjoy Logopolis. Though I don't like Tegan but Adric is bearable here. Nysa doesn't really need to be there but it's a good story I think. I love Tom's portrayal of the Doctor.I hate the End of time. It's my least favourite story. Tom has fantastic stories too unlike poor Tennant who I have sympathy for.

Another bad thing about tenant is that he is too human, Tom Baker is considered to be the best Doctor (he's not my favourite though) because he is so alien (and he was on it for a while) the doctor is an alien so why does he act so human?
You could argue that because The Master’s plan to put his face on others wouldn’t make since he can’t think clearly because he’s insane. Though even with his in mind I still don’t like this story, though it’s not worst story ever made in Doctor Who. I think that medal goes to Hellbent.
honestly I don't see any problem with The End Of Time, it's one of my favourite episodes, no offence but I like it more than the 50th Anniversary, 50th was good but the only good bit was saving galifrey, the rest was just dragged out.

I really liked Tennant 's doctor, however, The End of Time was one of the worst episodes ever. It had a stupid plot line with The Master creating the Master Race, Tennant went from Egomaniac to whining 13 year old in a matter of 2 episodes, and when he said his final words I was like, "That's it?" I was perturbed, as I thought Tennant's doctor was great, (Capaldi is my favourite) but I was sorta happy to see him go after he turned into the angry, self-centered emo he was at the End of Time.
I like Tennant some, Capaldi more and Tom Baker has become my favorite. Tom was absolutely brilliant and copied in different ways by all the New series Doctor's in my opinion. Tom and Peter C. are friends.

A large number of the Doctor Who fanbase is corrupt, especially the people who don't enjoy Peter Capaldi because he's "too old" and not as handsome as David Tennant or Matt Smith.
I actually really liked John Simm as the master in series 3, we'd already seen so much of that classic master personality it was refreshing to see something different and I still found him very menacing, In fact I just finished watching the video and I pretty much disagree with everything you said😂 but I'm still gonna leave a like cos you seem passionate about it and even though I thought he was great I can understand your criticisms of the tenth doctor

Could it just be that the people who made the call believed he was a hero and thought he would be perfect to help them with the Time War.
Sam That's what I was thinking of specifically when the second Doctor (I think) was explaining to the Brigadier about how there were many contradictory myths and legends about Rassalon. It's possible there are camps who think about him as a hero, others a villain, etc.... It's also stated, I think, that he was a major player in building their society, discovering time travel, etc... along with Omega he played a key role in creating the Eye of Harmony (and screwing over Omega in the process). Yeah, I could see some of them thinking he would be perfect to lead them in the last great Timewar.
I actually haven't seen most of the regeneration stories yet (minus short clips of the regeneration itself) but I've mostly liked all the ones I watched, so "worst regeneration stories" would be a difficult list for me to make. However, in terms of the actual points you make, not your overall view of the story, I think you are spot on with Time of the Doctor, and mostly right with the End of Time. With Logopolis, however, I don't think it is boring, and I don't think the plot is insubstantial. It's nice to have recognition of the scientific themes, even if they often get it wrong. In that sense, it's a a bit like Kill the Moon.
I agree with you. I didn't think "Logopolis" was boring or deserved to be on this list. Plus the Fourth Doctor's regeneration actually did bring a tear to my eye. He went out the way a Timelord should.

There are a few classic era stories I would of put as the worst regenerations ever. Regeneration is meant to be a normal bodily function of a Time Lord. It's always described that way but there are multiple instances where it's not shown to work that way. Logopolis is a great example of that, how is Peter Davidson's Doctor able to walk around and exist as the Watcher before he's actually regenerated. Tom Baker even says the moment has been prepared for as if the Watcher needed to be there in order for his regeneration to work. That makes no sense. It's never actually explained why the Watcher needed to exist. I think they just had Peter Davidson on set before he actually needed to be there and they had to use him in the story some how so they made the Watcher. Then there's Patrick Troughton who was forced to regenerate and he was given an opportunity to choose his new face but didn't take it. How does that even work. In every other instance it's completely random so why the hell did they do that? When Jon Pertwee regenerated into Tom Baker, they had to have another Time Lord there to start his regeneration otherwise he was going to die. Again why? Isn't regeneration suppose to happen naturally anyway? It happens naturally every other time so why in this instance did they have another time lord pointless wave his arms at him. There are a couple instances of stupid regenerations in the new series as well but most of them were in the classic series. Paul McGann's Doctor having to drink from a cup to regenerate into the War Doctor. The way I see it is the drinks were only meant to give him some control into what his next incarnation would be like. He was made into a warrior, but the way it was officially explained again, if he didn't drink he wasn't going to regenerate at all which makes no sense. Then there was Matt Smith's regeneration into Peter Capaldi. I liked that episode but there was a major flaw with that whole thing. It's explained that Matt Smith's incarnation is actually the 13th meaning he can not regenerate again unless he's granted more regnerations some how. Clara asks the Time Lords to do this which is a very emotional and great scene but it makes no sense. The Doctor's regeneration cycle was already extended beyond the limit before that when River Song gave up her remaining regenerations to save him. It was also said earlier in the series that Matt Smith could regenerate again but if he was killed while regenerating that it wouldn't work. So why suddenly did they change the rules? I don't really think any of the actual stories were bad, just the way Regeneration works has been largely inconsistent threw out the whole series. I really wish that regeneration would actually work they way they keep saying it does, as a natural biological process. They really need to stop doing these stories that contradict that statement.
Regeneration is not a normal bodily function. You're forgetting that there are Gallifreyans who can train to become Time Lords... and the normal Gallifreyans do not regenerate, therefore it has to be a special ability. River Song is able to gain this ability by being born inside the Time Vortex(so I would presume the Time Lords gain it when they look into the Untempered Schism). As explained in "The Five Doctors", regenerations can be added on by the High Council of Gallifrey. In "Destiny Of The Daleks", we even see Romana choosing her look. It's just not that simple, not even in Classic Who.
Only regenerations so far I haven't liked are Colin - Sylvester (because he didn't die), Romana's (same reason) and Peter - Colin. It was just a lazy redo of the same thing JNT did for Tom. Nothing specialized to honor Davison's Doctor.
I think The time of the Doctor is one of the best episodes, because the regenerarion of the eleventh doctor is EPIC and Matt Smith did a great job as the 11th doctor. You gonna see Amy and the regeneration is one of the sadest moments in DOCTOR WHO. So what did you say about the time of the doctor, is Stupid. Sry, but when you see the reaction of the people, who see the regenaration of 11th doctor, all cry.
I'm so late but I think they resurrected Rassilon because Romana fucked up so much when she was President and they wanted a little bit of a chance against the Daleks rather than being fucking slaughtered because Romana couldn't fight.

It would have been better if Matt had 1 more season or him on trenzalore fighting aliens without clara, and then her coming back after the doctors 300 year woth series like nothing happened. Then he could regenerate. Instead of tell about what he did in a short 5 min. of the episode.
If any Doctor had the right to say "I don't want to go", it's the 2nd when the Time Lords forced him to regenerate (either after The War Games or after season 6B, take your pick).

I completely agree with you on TOTD. It's just... bad. It's overrated, rushed, and a cluster of different stories that were badly pieced together to just create an absolute mess of a finale for Smith. Smith's regeneration is way too fast and the emotion of the speech before the "look I'm Capaldi now" moment is just ruined. I do, however, like the soundtrack. The beginning of the story, while unfunny at times, is probably the best part. Also, a town called Christmas? It's like Moffat got high, wrote this story, and realised it didn't have enough "Christmas" themes in it so he made it set in a town called Christmas.
John Whittington Yeah, I really wish they had done something with that. If I recall he was supposed to be created between his eleventh and twelfth regeneration but they have it all so messed up counting that aborted regeneration as one and the War Doctor it's hard to tell.
I liked John Sims as the Master. First time someone played the part without trying to copy Delgado or overplay the insanity. And there we have our quandary: He's NOT Delgado, but then, none of them are. Especially Missy! Who is MY vote for the worst Master. Hell, she could have been a regeneration of the Rani, and it wouldn't have made any difference.
Re Time of The Doctor - the Regeneration cycle,Moffat contradicted himself! his own writing, in Let's Kill Hitler The Doctor says to the tardis, "so better regenerate?" the tardis says basically Regeneration disabled because of the poison! Then where did he get the regeneration energy from in Angels Take Manhattan? And Not even Russell T. Davies counted The Stolen Earth as a regeneration! Plus have you ever sneezed so hard you turned into Peter Capaldi? Matt Smith did! Good points btw.

To me the only good thing that came out of the end of time is the Dalek are not used in part 2 and there’s a reason why, it’s because Steven Moffat told RTD not to use the Daleks and to me that is a good idea… especially coming form Steven Moffat
The End Of Time I liked but only for the Regeneration, when I first watched it when I was nine, back then I didn’t care about story just seeing the TARDIS and the Doctor. But I actually decided to listen to the story and I thought it was just stupid. The only reason I would watch it again is to see the Regeneration. My favourite Regeneration story you ask? I know I know, but The Time Of The Doctor, and now I may have started a war down here.

I respect your opinion and I like this video in general. But I disagree with "Logopolis". Overall it is a pretty good story even though it's not my favorite. Plus season 18 is a pretty good season and had a few good and interesting story's. Anyway "Logopolis" was a pretty good story and I do agree with you about it having a good atmosphere and Tom Baker doing a great job of showing his foreboding of knowing what was coming. I totally agree with "Logopolis" having ABSOLUTELY one of the best and most touching regeneration scene's itself. The Fourth Doctor went out like a true man and Timelord saving the Universe and NOT WHINING ABOUT IT! Yet you could feel and hear the sadness in his voice as he was saying his last words. Also the montage of his companions and enemies, along with the music, was excellent and a nice celebration of the Fourth Doctor's amazing era. It really did make you realize how much we were going to miss Tom without sabotaging the next Doctor. I agree with what you said about Tennant and his final story in general even though I don't hate his Doctor (I'm getting ready for the hatred as well from the Tennant fans). To me Tom's Doctor showed how a Doctor should say goodbye (and had a hell of a lot more realistic outcome to a fall from great heights) and Tennant's Doctor showed how not to say goodbye. Anyway good video in general (other than including "Logopolis") and I do respect your opinion even if you don't like Tom or his Doctor much. People shouldn't curse you out for having an opinion. Linda Taylor I actually enjoy Logopolis. Though I don't like Tegan but Adric is bearable here. Nysa doesn't really need to be there but it's a good story I think. I love Tom's portrayal of the Doctor.I hate the End of time. It's my least favourite story. Tom has fantastic stories too unlike poor Tennant who I have sympathy for.

Linda Taylor I really like the tone of the stories in the Hinchcliffe era. I've seen pretty much all of it same for season 18. Would you be able to recommend some from seasons 15-17. (I've seen Horror of Fang Rock, the Sunmakers and the City of Death)
I respect why you hate Tennant, but you seem to not respect other people’s opinions, it sounds like your just having a rant with end of time when yes, I can see the bad parts of End of Time, but if I knew I was dying, I would quite frankly have a hissy fit like Tennant did because Tennant was scared that someone would just pick up from where he left off and pretend he was the Doctor
Another bad thing about tenant is that he is too human, Tom Baker is considered to be the best Doctor (he's not my favourite though) because he is so alien (and he was on it for a while) the doctor is an alien so why does he act so human?
Tom is my favorite and I agree with you....Tom struck the perfect balance with his portrayal of the Doctor.
You could argue that because The Master’s plan to put his face on others wouldn’t make since he can’t think clearly because he’s insane. Though even with his in mind I still don’t like this story, though it’s not worst story ever made in Doctor Who. I think that medal goes to Hellbent.

honestly I don't see any problem with The End Of Time, it's one of my favourite episodes, no offence but I like it more than the 50th Anniversary, 50th was good but the only good bit was saving galifrey, the rest was just dragged out.

I really liked Tennant 's doctor, however, The End of Time was one of the worst episodes ever. It had a stupid plot line with The Master creating the Master Race, Tennant went from Egomaniac to whining 13 year old in a matter of 2 episodes, and when he said his final words I was like, "That's it?" I was perturbed, as I thought Tennant's doctor was great, (Capaldi is my favourite) but I was sorta happy to see him go after he turned into the angry, self-centered emo he was at the End of Time.
I like Tennant some, Capaldi more and Tom Baker has become my favorite. Tom was absolutely brilliant and copied in different ways by all the New series Doctor's in my opinion. Tom and Peter C. are friends.

I actually really liked John Simm as the master in series 3, we'd already seen so much of that classic master personality it was refreshing to see something different and I still found him very menacing,

Sam That's what I was thinking of specifically when the second Doctor (I think) was explaining to the Brigadier about how there were many contradictory myths and legends about Rassalon.
It's possible there are camps who think about him as a hero, others a villain, etc....
It's also stated, I think, that he was a major player in building their society, discovering time travel, etc... along with Omega he played a key role in creating the Eye of Harmony (and screwing over Omega in the process).
Yeah, I could see some of them thinking he would be perfect to lead them in the last great Timewar.
I Hate The End Of Time.
I actually haven't seen most of the regeneration stories yet (minus short clips of the regeneration itself) but I've mostly liked all the ones I watched, so "worst regeneration stories" would be a difficult list for me to make. However, in terms of the actual points you make, not your overall view of the story, I think you are spot on with Time of the Doctor, and mostly right with the End of Time. With Logopolis, however, I don't think it is boring, and I don't think the plot is insubstantial. It's nice to have recognition of the scientific themes, even if they often get it wrong. In that sense, it's a a bit like Kill the Moon.
I agree with you. I didn't think "Logopolis" was boring or deserved to be on this list. Plus the Fourth Doctor's regeneration actually did bring a tear to my eye. He went out the way a Timelord should.

There are a few classic era stories I would of put as the worst regenerations ever. Regeneration is meant to be a normal bodily function of a Time Lord. It's always described that way but there are multiple instances where it's not shown to work that way. Logopolis is a great example of that, how is Peter Davidson's Doctor able to walk around and exist as the Watcher before he's actually regenerated. Tom Baker even says the moment has been prepared for as if the Watcher needed to be there in order for his regeneration to work. That makes no sense. It's never actually explained why the Watcher needed to exist. I think they just had Peter Davidson on set before he actually needed to be there and they had to use him in the story some how so they made the Watcher. Then there's Patrick Troughton who was forced to regenerate and he was given an opportunity to choose his new face but didn't take it. How does that even work. In every other instance it's completely random so why the hell did they do that? When Jon Pertwee regenerated into Tom Baker, they had to have another Time Lord there to start his regeneration otherwise he was going to die. Again why? Isn't regeneration suppose to happen naturally anyway? It happens naturally every other time so why in this instance did they have another time lord pointless wave his arms at him.
There are a couple instances of stupid regenerations in the new series as well but most of them were in the classic series. Paul McGann's Doctor having to drink from a cup to regenerate into the War Doctor. The way I see it is the drinks were only meant to give him some control into what his next incarnation would be like. He was made into a warrior, but the way it was officially explained again, if he didn't drink he wasn't going to regenerate at all which makes no sense.
Then there was Matt Smith's regeneration into Peter Capaldi. I liked that episode but there was a major flaw with that whole thing. It's explained that Matt Smith's incarnation is actually the 13th meaning he can not regenerate again unless he's granted more regnerations some how. Clara asks the Time Lords to do this which is a very emotional and great scene but it makes no sense. The Doctor's regeneration cycle was already extended beyond the limit before that when River Song gave up her remaining regenerations to save him. It was also said earlier in the series that Matt Smith could regenerate again but if he was killed while regenerating that it wouldn't work. So why suddenly did they change the rules?
I don't really think any of the actual stories were bad, just the way Regeneration works has been largely inconsistent threw out the whole series. I really wish that regeneration would actually work they way they keep saying it does, as a natural biological process. They really need to stop doing these stories that contradict that statement.
Regeneration is not a normal bodily function. You're forgetting that there are Gallifreyans who can train to become Time Lords... and the normal Gallifreyans do not regenerate, therefore it has to be a special ability.
River Song is able to gain this ability by being born inside the Time Vortex(so I would presume the Time Lords gain it when they look into the Untempered Schism).
As explained in "The Five Doctors", regenerations can be added on by the High Council of Gallifrey. In "Destiny Of The Daleks", we even see Romana choosing her look. It's just not that simple, not even in Classic Who.
Only regenerations so far I haven't liked are Colin - Sylvester (because he didn't die), Romana's (same reason) and Peter - Colin. It was just a lazy redo of the same thing JNT did for Tom. Nothing specialized to honor Davison's Doctor.

I think The time of the Doctor is one of the best episodes, because the regenerarion of the eleventh doctor is EPIC and Matt Smith did a great job as the 11th doctor. You gonna see Amy and the regeneration is one of the sadest moments in DOCTOR WHO. So what did you say about the time of the doctor, is Stupid. Sry, but when you see the reaction of the people, who see the regenaration of 11th doctor, all cry.
The regeneration scene was the only good thing in it. The rest was bollocks.
I'm so late but I think they resurrected Rassilon because Romana fucked up so much when she was President and they wanted a little bit of a chance against the Daleks rather than being fucking slaughtered because Romana couldn't fight.

I completely agree with you on TOTD. It's just... bad. It's overrated, rushed, and a cluster of different stories that were badly pieced together to just create an absolute mess of a finale for Smith. Smith's regeneration is way too fast and the emotion of the speech before the "look I'm Capaldi now" moment is just ruined. I do, however, like the soundtrack. The beginning of the story, while unfunny at times, is probably the best part.
Also, a town called Christmas? It's like Moffat got high, wrote this story, and realised it didn't have enough "Christmas" themes in it so he made it set in a town called Christmas.

Then where did he get the regeneration energy from in Angels Take Manhattan? And Not even Russell T. Davies counted The Stolen Earth as a regeneration!
