What’s the point of doing a Thumb Notch Punch?

Hi! It helps when removing items from inside envelopes or pockets. It provides better access and a better grip.

Can I put this further forward to make a D shaped hole in the paper? I want an edge to it.

Hello. The paper stops at the back of the punch, so it's not possible to punch out a D shape with this punch.
