I love the honest review and seeing the board in action. I can see the tab depth as being a real advantage if one is making dividers for a storage box. Easy to see, easy to grasp.

Thank you for the review. I had this sitting in my shopping cart on Blitsy ready to buy as I have been really enjoying making dividers with my Planner Society Kit every month and thought this would be a good way to make them 'perfect'. Now I see that the tabs are too big (stick out too far for my liking) and its impossible to make a set of 5 dividers. I womt be buying this now. I would love to see a video of you making dividers please. Would love to see how you make them 😊

I'm still deciding if I'm going to invest in a computerised cutter (circuit or silhouette or similar) for making dividers.. I haven't made any in a while because I can never get them as good as I want them.

I use the envelope punch board for making my dividers. It makes a nicer tab.

I'd love to see how you do that dededexter!

Thank you so much for this. I have been considering this punch board for a while now but after seeing it's limitations for planner dividers I'm not going to get it. I can definitely see how frustrating it would be to get nicely spaced tabs. Thanks!

I love mine. I use it for making dividers for everything especially custom dividers for my husband's expenses for his business. I put them in page protector sleeves and make dividers that will stick out past the page protectors.

There are lots of videos out there on how to calculate where to make the other tabs for all kinds of tab sizes if you want to use this device as such.

i think they design the weird tab shape come with the original set so later if they release a size or normal design we want, therefore encourage more shopping...

Perhaps. I just think its an odd shape for a tab

Thanks for this, like you I like the stand alone tab you made but don't love the tab shape it leaves connected to the page. I would use a marker to mark on the board where to put the paper for next time. I would make a divider n then write notes on it for where on the board it was put, so you have your own reference guide to use for next time ;) but I'm totally with you. I wouldn't buy the tag board, they are so easy to make with a craft knife, ruler and cutting mat and add a corner rounder and hole punch n you are good for any size, I put a tutorial for that on my channel, I can send link to it if you like ;)

I'm so sorry your experience with this tool has been less than great. Yesterday I came across a YT channel called Rosie's Art Studio. She has two videos about making evenly spaced tab dividers. The shorter video is 6 minutes and the more in-depth one is a little over 28 minutes. Her measuring is done in inches, but it seems like the basic concepts could easily translate to metric. I hope this helps.
Thanks for showing the alternate tabs you came up with, they are cool!

In using it more, I've fallen more in love with it.. just not for making tabs for my dividers. I think if you don't go into it expecting this to be a tool for that you won't be disappointed. I'll have a look at the YT videos and see if I can work it out! Thanks for the tip!

I also don't like how big the tabs are, they look kinda ugly and out of proportion.
I still use it to make decorative tabs, like you show in the video.
But I was still able to use it to make dividers- by lining the card up only half way into the punch, so you get a much smaller tabs. You can still make use of the scored guides this way.

That was my gripe with this one too Leopard Prints. I have found other ways to use this board though, so still happy with it overall.

Thanks Jeanne. I hated not using something I'd spend so much money on, so I found other ways to use it.

If you don't want it to make tabs for planner dividers, I actually think its rather useful. But if you want to make those dividers, it may be better going somewhere else :(
