Christy is such a classic timeless beauty. Her beauty radiates. What makes her more beautiful is her soul. She's also kind, creative and charming. My favourite supermodel of all.
I was a teen in the 90s and she was already my favorite supermodel. It feels like I grew up with her, following her career all these years. She's so inspiring.
I have been a photographer since the 90's and have always fantasised about photographing Christy. She is absolutely gorgeous and your title here is very apt for her. Nice to see a very relaxed and real interview with people Christy knows well and has worked with.
I worked in publishing in NYC and was invited to the set of Peter Lindbergh's shoot with Naomi, Cindy, Tatiana, Linda and Christy. I was impressed by how friendly they all were to strangers but also the sense of friendship between them all. And Lindbergh, you could tell, was in love with everyone of these girls...
I avoid podcasts if I can, but Christy brought me here. This was bliss listening to the three of you, reminisce. Was insightful and inspiring. The 90s was lightening in a bottle. Can never be duplicated. Ever!!! Thanks for the nostalgia. Christy has always been more than a beautiful woman. Her intellect and life choices just emanate from within. Thank you for this. I am a new subscriber. Carry on.
Christy Turlington was actually never one of my favourite top models... but what I really like about Christy is her saying no to many insane industry demands... and aging gracefully and looking more beautiful ageing...I love her looks more now than back then.
This was my first time watching Under the Cover. I enjoyed this conversation with Christy. It is fun to hear about people's stories. I learned so much today. Not just about Christy, your modeling years but the person you are. You and this podcast have inspired me. I am a mom too and I feel like I am always discovering and re-discovering about myself. This has been my hardest year financially and the future is scary for women in the US when it should not be. I appreciate what you have been doing for the past 20 years all over the world. Keep going. What you are doing Matters! This podcast has a purpose. People have purpose and no one, absolutely no one should ever be dehumanized.
It´s so refreshing to listen to you all. Christy was and is blessed with beauty and a smart woman who created a sustainable path for herself and her family in a fast, superficial and often relentless industry. To see her age gracefully and "normal" is yet another reason to respect her even more. THANK YOU for this interview. really enjoyed it. Cheers from Germany.
Christy seems to be the most grounded of the supers. Her career and family life are a testament to this. I used to work for Ellen Tracy Canada and she did the campaign books which I happily have saved. I remember going to a theatre in 1995 to see the doc on her called Catwalk. Wow then and now. I wish Christy would do An Evening With Christy Turlington type of show where she talks about her life. I would definitely enjoy that.
@@supergolden. The doc will be 30 years old next year. 30 years later it has a different meaning since it is now a glimpse of a special time in fashion history. I think of what happened to all the people in it.
It’s crazy to think she didn’t really model full time for that long but yet she made a huge impact in the industry for such a short amount of time. She learned more about herself after modeling and I think her values and how she carried herself throughout those times is what makes her a very genuine person.
Oh god .. she’s still at it .. humble and grounded .. grew up with Christy and all the others .. fashion allows us all to go our own contrary way .. best thing about it imho .. Christy very lucky to look the era defining way she does but who could say she hasn’t given back for it ? .. have a very different path but still, so inspired 😀👍💪❤️
She was, is and always will be one of the most beautiful model and woman in the world. Genetically she hit the jackpot with an amazing facial bone structure. Like Katherine Hepburn, she will look beautiful in her eighties, and not many women have that, it’s luck of the draw.
My first trip to NYC was 1990. You're right, it was a lifestyle. I remember I was on the UWS, I saw a woman wearing an elegant all brown leather outfit, from head to toe, she look glamourous. That time ppl wore something special was a big deal.
Christy Turlington Burns was the most Breathtakingly Beautiful model of all the supermodels. Linda Evangelista changed her hair colour to stand out more, Naomi Cambell was exotic and had an amazing body and walk, Tatjana Patitz was ethereally beautiful and Cindy Crawford had a foxy sexy look about her. But Christy Turlington Burns was just like Greek Amazonian Godess who just got more and more beautiful and aged to perfection. I just love her !
I always loved her as a young girl. I lived in Europe and discovered her in Vogue Germany. It’s sad that people really hate beauty in America- at least where I am located. I see women today- aprons or meth heads. Drugs. Lots of drugs. The 90’s were special.
This interview includes a vapid and offensive misrepresentation of the practice of yoga. The interviewer refers to "feeling more beautiful when practicing yoga in the presence of Christy". The practice of yoga is in no way intended to serve the purpose of making the practitioner "feel beautiful". This is a dangerous misinterpretation and a misappropriation of the ancient practice of spirituality developed in India thousands of years ago. I know the interviewer's intent was simply to say that Christy's beauty helps lift those around her to a higher level of being, but using Christy's practice of yoga in the way that the interviewer did, results in a terrible maligning of the ancient Indian practice of yoga.
I am extremely beautiful & sophisticated but not famous. I am open to an interview too, I’d to walk on the beach with my dog & feel the breeze in my hair.
My goal was for her to clarify that, although they theoretically released her from the contract, it didn’t affect her relationship with Calvin Klein. She continued working with him, appearing in both his shows and advertisements.

Oh I need to look! Thank you for sharing the time stamp!
Out of nearly 30,000 views only 586 likes?????? For Christy?????
Love her, my favorite supermodel
shame about the filters. she doesn't need them and it goes against her stance on natural beauty

So surprised she considers herself a New Yorker..just doesn’t seem like at all
Has Christy officially commented about why she would be listed in Epstein’s little black book? Her silence is a bit deafening.
What a load of codswobble.
such a yawn of a podcast..😅
no one is forcing you to listen or watch.
