  • 85% of children entering school today will be working in jobs that don't even exist yet (World Economic Forum Report: The Future of Jobs). The landscape of work is changing faster than our education system can keep up with. Consequently, students are being taught outdated knowledge instead of being equip with the skills for leading innovation. We need visionaries, thought-leaders and change-makers to solve the global challenges we are going to face in the next 30 years. In this next era of education, teaching entrepreneurship in high schools is the best way to prepare students for their future of work…and this why… Eliza Li is a Monash University biomedicine/commerce scholar, entrepreneurship ambassador, public health researcher and humanitarian global health volunteer. Eliza is also founder of Reach In Education (www.reachineducation.com), where she is creating a culture of encouraging entrepreneurship in high schools. She teaches
high school students how to think more entrepreneurially to turn their wild ideas into reality. At 20, Eliza has been nominated for the 2018 Victorian Young Achiever of the Year for Social Impact, had her public health research cited in the Medical Journal of Australia, been named the youngest Women of Significance by Ruyton Girls’ School and is the youngest migrant founder selected by the YGAP First Gens Accelerator Program. Eliza frequently speaks at conferences and leadership camps, inspiring young girls to be as ambitious as their dreams. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
