- Mortal Kombat might not have the most creative characters in the world but they are some of gaming's most iconic none the less. With this release we finally get a figure of the guy who wouldn't be intimidating at all if he didn't have super powers. Will Storm be able to make a figure of his relatively simple character design be appealing enough to spend big money on?

I love Raiden's design in MK11, the "past" version with the blue trench coat
The belt on my Raiden broke off too. I replaced it with a black garter I bought from a sewing shop. Tied it on his waist like a real belt. It suits him very well and it looks natural.

My favorite Raiden look is his Deadly Alliance costume.
He has a cape and capes are awesome

I like mk vs DC Raiden. He's basically just mk9 Raiden (my second favorite) but with a cape which just makes it cooler.

Good review bro. You should include more pictures of the source material that the figures are based off of in future vids. It’s nice to see a comparison between the two. Colors, scale, materials, etc. I love the cyborg ninjas in this line. Can’t wait to see Kitana & Mileena
For me it’s Raidens alternate costume in deadly alliance and Armageddon where he doesn’t wear the hat.

I cant decide if my favorite is mk9 or mk deception evil raiden but its 1 of those.
My favorite raiden is the Christopher Lambert raiden from the first movie
A bit biased, but as a kid my first fatality i ever performed by accident was with mk2 raiden.

I really liked this look for Raiden when I was a kid. The apron really didn't age well IMO.

As soon as I got the fig I removed the blue robe.. pretty easy, remove head and arms.. looks way better without it in the classic white

Overall I like it. I think I’ll buy it. So altogether. Who’s figures do you prefer Street Fighter or MK? I like SF more because of the diverse character designs.

I actually really love the mk11 design. Not dark Raiden with the gold armor but when his past self comes back. That design is so good. I want a figure of that but I have the storm one too and love it.
Glad you mentioned the shoulder thing. It was something that bummed me out about their cyborg figures, because the Cyber Lin Kuei was not built like Vin Diesel. They were lanky and it made them stand out. For as much as Storm charges they need to quit cheapening out and reusing the same body sculpt for every figure.

Mk2 was my favorite Raiden. Do you have a recommendation on separating the lightning fingers? One hand came almost clumped on mine.
Klassic Raiden is best Raiden. Also I don't like how short he is.

Personally I don't think its the shoulders themselves, its where they're placed that's throwing the look off. They are sitting a bit too high so now he has this, lets say "Shelf shoulder" appearance to him. If his shoulders looked more relaxed, I think he would look a lot better imo. Also they need to re-sculpt his biceps so he can have more clearance to rotate them

Every single costume design from mk2 was far superior to every other game. I'm biased though because mk2 was my favorite and the one i spent the most total time with in the arcade vs the others. Id go into an arcade and theyd have 1 , 2 and 3 lined up next to eachother and id go to 2 every time

He’s definitely not perfect but I like the figure, would have been cool if the blue vest was removeable but then it probably wouldn’t fit as good
The vest is removable. I have mine displayed without it.
it's not intended to be. that's what he meant. if you remove it, you'll have blue and black scuffs on the white and could easily damage the blue.
Intended or not, it looks pretty good without it. Taking the arms and torso off and sliding it off is the path of least resistance. Mine didn’t scuff when I took it off and looks just fine.
AnthonysCustoms yes that’s what I meant, as if it was a piece you could take off and put back on easily like akuma’s gi, but it’s still cool enough as it is
206dave I got you man. I hadn’t gotten that from your initial comment. Regardless, if you ever wanna take it off without much friction, you can pop the arms off and then the upper torso and simply slide the piece off. Having it come off easier would have been way more ideal, but it’s still an option.

It just looks like a figure that I'd hate to pay over 20 dollars to obtain. For the price he goes for you think there would be far more detail and accuracy with the body and wardrobe.
