I love your top tens. You helped me branch out my reading interests, and it's great to see a booktuber that recommends more than the same five or six fantasy series

Read Ken Follett's Century trilogy. Follows multiple families during WW1, the second book follows them during ww2 and the third during the cold war. Top tier stuff I tell ya 😆

A Too Ten video!!! That's how I got hooked on this, the best in the universe, channel!!!
I have been a bad channel supporter, and haven't been watching lately, but I'm so glad I caught this one.
Now to go back and watch to see if you edited that drink out.

So many good books on your list Brian. I've never heard of Steven Saylor, but those books sound fantastic, so I'll definitely check those out. A lot of stuff on this list that I've been meaning to read as well. Have you ever read anything by Christian Cameron? So far I've only read his Tom Swan series which follows the adventures of a young man throughout 15th century Italy and Greece. They are a blast and quick reads as well. He has a bunch of other historical fiction I've been meaning to read.

This is a really nice list thx!
As a fan of the genre I would add P.F. Chisholm, her Sir Robert Carey series is a wonderful humorous insightful portrayal of Elizabethan England with a highlight on the Scotch Border. Her real name I think is Patricia Finney, and the Elizabethan Noir Trilogy is great too.
Another historical fiction author is Cecilia Holland, love everything she wrote! the Life and Times of Corbin Loosestrife, a Viking Saga, has mystical elements and lots of location changes, top notch. Peace y'all!

I remember an old top 10 (17) video you did and you spoke about North and South so I bought it from eBay. It came with the worst, tv tie in cover imaginable and it totally put me off ever reading it. It’s been on my book case for ages.
After watching the video and seeing you rank it so highly again I’m going to pick it up next, one I’ve finished the fantasy and Sci fi books I’m currently reading.
    Thanks Brian

I'm thinking about picking up the Balian of D'Ibelin series (Knight of Jerusalsm) by Helena P. Schrader. (I find the movie Kingdom of Heaven interesting, if inaccurate.) Anyone have thoughts about that?

Please, please, pretty please buy the following books in your next book haul!!
Boudica Series by Manda Scott, all of Christopher Buehlman’s catalogue from Those Across the River to The Daughter’s War! Last but not least Ferida Lennon’s debut Glorious Exploits! You may have to buy another bookcase!!

I'm reading the Sackett Series with a group of people on Booktube called The Wagon Train and I'm not impressed with the series so far... Book 1 was fabulous but I'm on book 6 Datbreakers and I think they have gotten worse... I'm hopeful the weatern aspect in the later series will get back to the Louis L'Amour I know and love.

I kept waiting for Ken Follett...there he is. If you have never read him, there is one hardcore sex scene in each book. It REALLY bothers some people. Lie Down with Lions is the raunchiest.
