I really hope that some of these thing end up on eBay instead of at the flea market. It would probably bring you much more there and the winter weather encourages indoor things like listings. What a great haul for you and Taco!
Much of the glassware, mugs, and household goods are better sold at the flea market as their eBay value isn’t very high. For things like the cameras & film, that will go on eBay because there’s more of a return.

This should be a lesson to us all. Declutter before you 'check out'. Your kids don't want the responsibility of your stuff. I say this because I have inherited a lot of stuff. Some of it is actually valuable, but clogs up my cabinets and drawers.
I think that’s one of the reasons why many storage units go up for sale. Families do not wish to inherit and/or deal with “Aunt Sally’s” stuff, so they let others deal with cleaning out a unit.
We also inherited my parent’s things. I think they kept everything. Bills etc. from the 60’s. It took us 3 hours to go through one tote. Of course we had a fun time reminiscing. The two of you look like you were having a great time!
When I pass away the same thing would happen. My kids don't like any of the glass items I have or the nic naks. So I have it in my will to do an action and donate all the proceeds to the pet shelter. My dogs have always loved me no matter what.
That sounds like a good plan! I’m sure others will enjoy seeing what items you have at auction & your nicnaks will be displayed once again in homes. The pet shelter will be appreciative as well!

If my memory serves me correctly, it was $100. If there would have been photos of the boxes in the back, the unit would have went for much more than that. So funny we found a ceramic tree! I thought for sure we might have found the big vintage Christmas storage unit, but alas, they probably sold it all at a flea market in 1999 haha. Still fun though! Easy unit to empty out & with all those boxes, we had fun seeing what had been stored for years!

we have three of the ceramic trees. husbands mom collected them over the yrs. the first one i saw was pearl white w/ red lights and a red bird on the top. really pretty.

I was hoping it was a mug from the Ingersoll Rand that used to be in my town, maybe next time! Though the boxed items were big home runs, it’s all sellable flea market stuff, at least the majority. We would rather have that type of item versus having the back of the unit filled with press-board furniture that can’t even be given away as no one wants it.

If faded, can they be "re-colored?" Probably kill the value. Are bread makers still a thing? I remember in the 90s, I think, everyone had to have one. We still have one but it's not turned out a loaf in a while. I remember using 110s, with disposable flash cubes. Found one on a beach in Maine once & had the film developed but nothing interesting. Maybe there's a few used rolls in your boxes that will have amazing photos. Looks like you were really having fun - glad for that. Hope you had a great Saturday. I think we're getting another Sunday washout here - imagine you might be seeing the same. Looking forward to whatever's next! We didn’t even notice that was on the box until we had packed it in the van! I wonder if it was a ride-on toy since the box was rather large.
