- Nokta Makro THE LEGEND Metal Detector 30 MINUTES LIVE DIGGING Signals in TRASHY PARK Metal Detecting. I'm enjoying the Legend a lot in the park... it feels very fast. I think it needs a little bit of help on the beach though. Looking forward to the first round of updates !

Waiting to get mine. Soon hopefully. I use an MXT MXT Pro MXSport and the Anfibio Multi. These are great detectors. Trying something different should be fun. Great video will be watching it again for pointers. Take Care

Hi Austin thanks for all the videos about the Legend and giving an honest non biased report on how it preforms. You said something in this video that hit home with me when out metal detecting it's not how deep a detector can go that makes it a great detector , it is it ability to separate and discriminate targets, that makes it easier to find what a person wants without having to dig down deep to only find trash. Great videos and you give tons of tips to help us get the feel for real detecting. I see too many videos of people just showing what they dug up but they fail to show the real time detecting and that is boring for the viewer. Oh Austin here is a tip for you, I noticed that the metal detecting channels with the highest viewers are the ones where the detectorist turns the camera from time to time and shows their face as they talk about what they are doing. It makes the viewer feel even more part of the hunt! Thanks again for all your great videos and good luck hunting and "May the Finds be With You!"
Thank you very much Harry! I think for the most part it's the overall feel of a detector that is important so it's good to just get it out and start swinging around see how it reacts! I have always been a behind the camera kind of person.. that might change in the future but to me it's just about gettin out there and havin fun! 🙏👍

I love my Simplex+ but now also loving my Legend Pro Pack on field & beach.
My Legend Pro Pack gets here today. Can't wait I have been using the Simplex and the Vanquish so really expecting a big difference.

Very nice. Seems to have a lot less chatter and hitting targets. As from what I have seen so far so good. As for me getting it I will pass on getting a new detector for Awhile. I got the Nox cause it seems to be the best right now for the beach. Plus the Cost of living is through the roof. New Gear will have to wait.
Yep Dan, the reality is the detectors we have now for the conditions we hunt are really about as good as it gets. Once they announce the "pull tab slayer" machine that can eliminate the pull tab I will be on board lol. Until then its just for fun learning a new detector I am gonna cycle out some of my older ones that I dont use so much anymore.

Nokta Makro released an update this morning. They said that it should fix the lock up issue as well as making some adjustments to the park mode among other things. You can download it from their main website.
There will be another update coming out in the month or two that will have additional changes including an all together new setting for iron bias.
My new Legend is supposed to be here tomorrow from UPS. I'm super stoked about it. Keep on making the good videos.

@@TreasureOutdoors UPS just dropped it off. Got it assembled and basic setup complete. Trying to get this old laptop fired up so I can try to install the update before taking it out.

You say it needs help on the beach…but from I heard it is awesome on the beach once you figure out to use MW and stability settings..,I know my first two times out I have found tons of targets that I missed with my at pro, at max, whites Mx sport, Explorer 2, e-trac and Simplex….watch the ferrous meter…it helps out a lot

Lucky you have multiple detector options, may want to tailor your machine choice to where you plan on detecting..
It's a virtual clone of the equinox from what I have heard about it . It even sounds like a nox

42-43 are typically clad penny, 45-48 are copper penny or dime. Sorry you had problems with yours. I flat out love mine. First day got 4 rings (my first rings) one was gold. I also redetected a yard I have been over with 3 detectors and got Wheaties and a Buffalo. I figured the yard would be empty. Can't wait for a day off to see if I get more rings.

Wonder why the minelab is so stable on the beach compared to the legend. Hopefully you’re right about them fixing it with a software update.
I think the main issue is it seems to be reading the black sand as iron tones, it needs a filter? or maybe that would have something to do with iron bias? I'm not really too sure, I heard Dilek mention they will be working on improvements for the beach I have faith they'll get it right it just might take a little while.

I mostly beach hunt and the Garret AT Pro isn't cutting it for me in the water. Found a lot of stainless, costume, titanium, and tungstun rings but only one 10K gold one in seven years. Looks like The Legend is great in parks, but as is, will be worse than my AT Pro at the beach. Saving my money for a XP Deus II right now. Priced kind of high but I need all the help I can get if I want to start finding the gold, LOL. I might just be a lousy detectorist though.

Do you find yourself skipping over a lot of the lower signals at the beach? I rarely ever find big gold rings but those small ones love to sound just like pieces of scrap / foil!! Deus 2 looks like a killer, but you are getting out there swinging and finding stuff with your machine so you are definitely doing it right!! 👍
@@TreasureOutdoors The AT Pro ID goes to 100 and I tend to ignore most of the 30's up to 39 except in the water where I dig everything. I've had quarters in the salt water give me iron sounds. My machine is just too chatty in the water and looses too much depth and the water seems to be where the best targets are. I'll dig some of upper 30's sometimes but not often. My machine doesn't like small gold and I figure most gold is in that range and if I get the best detector for that I might find more gold. Don't need to find a lot just like to find a little more. But you can't find what's not there.
@@rogerclaiborne6815 That's the truth Roger, I had that same experience with my Simplex in the wet sand. The "chatter" tunes us out of the faint signals we need to be listening for. A lot of the time that small gold doesn't give us a "WAKE UP" signal like a quarter or dime might so we really have to be tuned in to the sounds to have the best chance!
They need to program the detector to say, "PULL TAB! PULL TAB!" like planes do when they`re crashing so we can swing on by.

Hey Austin ... Interesting Hunt today..At the moment do you find the Legends performance any better than the simplex ( I do own a simplex with an SP 24 coil)

Going to be completely honest I have not used it enough to say, I am enjoying it at the parks with the 11" coil though I usually only used the simplex sp24 so right now I am feeling like I want an elliptical coil for the legend. The spots I hunt are usually just so trashy, don't quite want the 6" coil so I'm waiting for the sp24 style on the legend and I think it'll be awesome. Still keeping my simplex though, he's a beast!!

resetting it fixes it...it was a bug, already a fix out for it via the nokta download.
How did he get the screen to operate again.Can he do a update with a frozen screen?
30 seconds hold on the power button rebooted the machine and I got the new update yesterday so will let you know if that bug continues but yesterdays update was supposed to fix it 👍
nokta has a new update that will fix the freezing up problem that you had with your legend.
