Actually, I think I prefer the round tokens over the new ones. They just feel better, look cleaner. A love the snowy side though, but the new edition is way too expensive where I live, so I'm going to stick with my original copy for now.
Not worth buying.it costs almost double the price of the base game..you get nothing new.for that price, they should have made a deluxe version with upgraded components and adding expansions.
Thanks for the video Sam! Aside from the small modules it looks like a lateral move at best. I prefer the original meeples as the screen printing doesn't appeal to me. The original board is much more colorful and attractive than the winter side. I guess it is good to have a choice between the two editions, but I wouldn't seek one out over the other.
One could argue that the way they did the double sided tiles makes it 'not compatable' with The Expansion, with how you set it up, but you can throw the tiles into a bag and randomize them, drawing out 7 per stack (per player) as usual, making sure to match cut side to cut side (The original tiles have the rounded cut on the front, while the Anniversary tiles have the rounded cut on the winter side instead of the Summer (front) side). The cards will require black sleeves from Mayday for below Between the summer art between the 2 editions you have, it looks like the art is 'warmer' in Anniversary vs the original version for the player boards and the main board. Also, one thing missed is that the card art has some snow on it, which looks like it's in the middle of the thaw. While it doesn't matter much for the fronts, it makes the old expansion not compatible with the Anniversary edition as the stone paintings now have some snow on them too. More of a heads up thing.
No. Still only up to 4 players. I was hoping they would re-release the expansion or include it along with the other mini-expansions that are included so we could get that 5-6 player count. But I can only find the 5-6 player expansion for the original on eBay if I was stupid enough to pay $150. Here's to still hoping the 5-6player "anniversary edition" expansion comes out in 2019 or 2020.
This is a great example of how to mess up what should be a certain win. Way. Too. Expensive. Everything about this edition is positive except that one deal breaker.

You must REALLY love snow to need the anniversary edition for twice the price of the regular one.

can you play 5-6 players in the 10th anniversary edition?
No. Still only up to 4 players.

Why didn't they make a new Stone Age Board including the Expansion "Style Is The Goal" areas and components ?
6:20 I don't think you looked hard enough. If you look carefully you can see Waldo on the new one
I guess style wasn't the goal in the Anniversary edition!
Thanks for this!
Where I live, the anniversary edition costs double what the base game does!?!
My friendly local game store sells the original for $50 and the anniversary edition for $80. Hmmm.
So I should just get with original? I haven't played it yet but it's on my list .

I'll probably stick with my original copy. I already "blinged" it out with upgraded tokens from TopShelfGamer.com
Tiny bit of a missed opportunity.
For what you’re getting for the prize.. wow, I almost feel cheated and I didn’t even buy anything
