Sends shivers down my spine and brings tears to my eyes every time I hear Carla performing Sandys songs….no one comes near to the excellence of Carla.in performing Sandys music…..We are so lucky to have Carla giving us this..I’m sure Sandy is looking down and really appreciating this !…………………….
Oh Chris, so much love in your words! I hope Ill be able to play for you live this year in the UK! Thank you for beeing with us on our Sandyjourney! 🥰😘
You capture the essence of sandy in this performance - and I'm old enough to have been a huge fan when she was still with us. She changed music so much in her short time on this earth. This was like listening to her singing live again. Keep up the great work 👍❤️
I have commented on your abilities, to sing Sandy Denny’s tunes. Please, don’t stop. There are songs, that I heard her actually, sing, I hope that you continue to post.
I worked really hard for the album Songbird with Sandy's daughter you might want to check it out. Its Sandys unfinished lyrics set to music by me...in her style with Georgia as graphicdesigner! A true labour of love...
Still evocative and stirring one year later at the tide of another late November. Thank you Carla! You play Sandy's songs with such beautiful heart energy and love.
Hi dear Leaf Shimmer! I want to do a 2022 version, but I guess it will be a 2023 version! So much has developped since that upload, I got so much more knowledge how to sing her songs and sometimes I even got the feeling I should take them all down and do it all again 😅 Well, I will! Piece by piece, growing with the songs...learning, growing, singing...
Thank you! I have a deep connection with this song. I am novemberchild. Singing this song to me is always singing about the season in which I was born. Actually a pretty strange time to be born, when the nature is dying and resting...Opposites are in this thought as well as in Sandys music, I am trying to combine them...
Your work is such a gift to us. And so are you! Exquisite singing, and the video editing adds such a magical quality. I'd like to think Sandy would have loved your interpretation of her music.
Sorry it took so long! Here is my answer (finally!) starting with a big thank you! I really hope that Sandy is somehow ok with my work. I just read her biography and it breaks my heart that someone so talented could have so much trouble in believing in her ability and music. But I also feel more then ever that I have to practice hard to get closer to the level where she was. ;) Until I had an horrible accident I was a clarinet player most of the time. Now I really wish I had put more time in the singing when I was younger...or in the piano....or the guitar...well...yesterday is gone, I guess
Thanks! It was really new land for me. The footage from the landscape was made for another video for one of my own songs, which I never finished because covid destroyed all plans. So it was cool to find a different way to use it ;)
Wow, thank you so much! Sometimes, when music really hits my heart (Sandy...) I get goosebumps too. I can hardly believe that I am able to do that too...
"The wooded ravine to the wandering stream, The serpent he moved, but no-one would say. The depths of the waters, the bridge which distraught us And brought to me thoughts of the ill-fated day" Late November, Autopsy, Nothing More, Next Time Around, The Sea, the Lady,, Winter Winds.,.. genius phraseology and introspective to the inner core of humanity. "The Lady" is written on her headstone in Putney Vale Cemetery in London
@@ACRRYBKA That's good to hear, cool! There is the beautiful booklet as part of the CD that Georgia made. We are thinking of releasing lyrics videos here on my channel as well! I hope that helps?
@@songsofsandydennyThat's great, please do it! Remember the fonts she used in her videos that were so easily recognizable! Thanks again, the photographs of the places where she studied, where she often passed and from where she looked at the river surface are interesting. After all, this is all and her music is perceived inseparably. And the texts are very necessary; we, not being English speakers, still know Her poetry by heart Sandy was a very warm person this is definitely most likely

Esquisite and magical!!
I am glad when I managed to visualize the mood of this song and to make it sound with my music
So enchanting and a marvelous experiment!

Gorgeous rendition!
Thanks for listening!
How lovely!! Yet again listening to you has given me goosebumps. Perfect timing for this post, too.

Dear Rene, thank you for always taking the time to leave some positivity
Karla, why aren’t songbird recordings available to Russians?
I wish I knew! You can't order it or have access to it on Spotify?
@@songsofsandydenny It has already become visible. Thank you. Where can Sandy's lyrics be read separately?
