What a beautiful role model Seeco is. Supporting others with love and humility, not seeking fame, but selflessly acting out of kindness. Once again, your channel has made my entire week. Blessings, and many thanks.

I am really proud of this video and how the world 🌎 could understand the friendship between Bob Marley and my father Secco …some people will never understand and listen to false narratives you would thought some one from the bloodline would give him some type of respect or fear well when passed ✊ 🤦‍♀️ Love ❤️ this video well said for me 💯🥰seccopep_girl

      Very informative, Prince!!!
Silent giants sometimes do not shine, throughout their time in this life.
You have magnified a forgotten humble King within Ras Tafari's culture and a popular way of living and expectations, amongst each other in their dwellings.
There are tons of stories about BOB MARLEY, by others too.
      Many may never be heard.
Much love, good health and successes to all deserving peoples of righteousness.

She’s very much alive for sure, but I think the reference was to his length of years, especially as he born way, way earlier than any of the other Wailers. Also, several other Wailers band members passed away after Seeco passed, but none of them was close to 80, except Aston Barrett who passed away earlier this year at 77.

Another figure that played a fatherly role in Marley's life was Mortimo Planno. He was a significant influence on Bob Marley's spiritual growth and Rastafarian faith. As a Rasta Elder and member of the 12 Tribes of Israel Mansion of Rastafari, Planno played a key role in facilitating Emperor Haile Selassie's visit to Jamaica in 1966 and even met the Emperor twice in person. The 12 Tribes assign names based on birth months, drawing from Jacob's 12 sons, which is how Bob Marley was named Joseph. This teaching deeply radicalized and strengthened Marley's Rasta faith, leading him to invite other influential reggae musicians to join the 12 Tribes, such as Freddie McGregor, Brigadier Jerry etc. Additionally, Planno co-wrote 'Selassie is the Chapel' with Marley, a song that served as Marley's public declaration for Rastafarianism.

Years ago the Wailers flew in from New Zealand to Los Angeles for the night then on to Vancouver for a concert that night. They came in exhausted. My friend Glenn and I picked them up and they were beat, but agreed to tape a TV show for Roger Steffens. We were pretty crammed in Glenn's one car, so we stopped and picked up my car so that we had 5-6 per car. When we got out at my house, I noticed Seeco was barefoot. His feet were torn up, bloody and crammed up. I went and got some comfortable tennis shows and we put them on carefully. To me is was just an act of kindness that was so deserved for all he did - he had a steady solid vibe. Bob and he would have there own conversations, soft voices, questions, guidance. One of the cruelest and most horrible things I wish I could forget is that the family and Blackwell and their "OneLove" fictional movie and the one Billion dollars they have made off the BMW estate since Bob's death, is that they tossed the band overboard with lethal consequences. The band actually contributed to the music and were paid by Bob. I regret that he did not leave them something in writing - he had time and IMHO he left them hanging for whatever reason. Did the children make this music? Did Rita? Did Blackwell? No, No and No. IF you have heard the Jamaican Masters, Blackwell degraded the music and I don't know why. Listen to Barry Diaments remastering of the Jamaican Masters, then throw the Island one in the trash. Chris did a lot of good things, but burning the Wailers out of any modest sum of money is fucking low and makes me sick. Rita hates the band and I don't know wny, they made her wealthy beyond anything she could imagine and the same with the Marley Children. Bob was a generous man and was not a materialistic person. When he was worth hundreds of millions he had a bedroom in Chris Blackwell's house that was given to him. He gave most of his money away. He didn't have his 12 million $$$ Beverly Hills home in Architectural Digest, beause he never owned a home except for a modest get away from it all home out on the Southwest Coast of JA. I learned two things that night - Seeco was destitute and died homeless and lacked food and water in a sweltering one room shack in the ghetto that was not in Architectural Digest or any other livable scene. He gave Bob a father when Bob had neither parent. The thing is Bob respected him and he respected Carlie, Fams, Wia, Tyrone who all died broke and often without medical care. I have written elsewhere that I believe as a clinician that Carlie's death was probably avoidable if he could have afforded decent medication. He was on Jamaican indigent care taking a drug no one in America would take even on Medicaid. That night was the last night I talked to him and he was very sick. A short time later around 4 AM Al Anderson called me with the news that Carlie had been shot and that also was not in Architectural Digest. If the family can name a fictional movie One Love, when they had money to burn that they did not earn and would not share even 1 or 2% of the hundreds of millions of dollars with people who needed it and had earned it. How is that in keeping with Christian or Rastafarian belief systems? When you deliberately cause pain and suffering to others that had worked and contributed to your wealth and you betray them. Maybe a little self-examination to deal with the hate and greed you seem to share. You don't represent your father or his legacy, but a Golden Calf.
