Seems like he was wandering all around town - maybe he was lost and couldn’t get his bearings on where the motel was. The mailman thought he was disoriented - gave him unhelpful directions. My vote is lost in the wilderness too. Maybe he suffered from something like hypoglycemia or dehydration and it affected his decision making.
Davohnte's girlfriend went to the police to report him missing _on the following day._ An official police report filing wasn't made until the _the day after that, on the advice of Davohnte's own family._ This is also typical of police who often tell people they "can't file the report until 48 hours after the person goes missing" which is incorrect. You can file a report the moment someone goes missing but police say otherwise because most people return within 2 days. So the notion that the delayed missing person's report filing casts suspicion on the girlfriend is entirely untrue. She reported it to the police the very next morning.
All of this. I also saw on another video about this case, that the girlfriend contacted the family the first day of the argument, when he left and didn't come back. She told them she was sure he would return and I believe she thought that. When she called them back to say he still hadn't come back, the family told her to report him missing and she did. I don't think she would've contacted the family at all if she had something to do with it. The video also said they rented a vehicle to get to Mt. Shasta. In 2020, did most rental cars have gps trackers? I'm not even sure that's a thing but maybe. Was her phone tracked? I feel like she would've been easy to implicate or clear and that's why she hasn't ever been charged.
My parents live in Mt Shasta, this is crazy hearing about it in one of your videos I was in Mount Shasta on May 3rd-5th 2020, and I know all of the places mentioned. What if I saw him o__o
In every direction from the town of Mt Shasta there is a prolific meth problem. I wonder if his disappearance has anything to do with this. Either way sad case. 😢
Thank you for the new video Dr. Grande! Can you please do an analysis of the recent fentanyl exposure at the daycare in the Bronx if you haven’t already?
Mount Shasta has a very long history of ludicrous beliefs and odd disappearances. Countless people have vanished around the mountain over the years. It seems like the couple were taking hallucinogenic substances, which might account for their weird behavior. Hallucinogens often cause people to wander and explore areas, plus they have a disorienting and stimulant effect. The girlfriend may be involved in some way, in spite of her having being gripped by lunacy. She may have brought him to the mountain for a "vision quest" of some sort, or he may have wandered out there on his own, which would make perishing in the wilderness a possibility. He also might be a reptilian, who went "home" to the mountain.
Had to hold myself back from exploding from laughing in the office because I wasn't ready for the mention of the alien lizard people living in the mountain 🤣🤣 Thanks for making my workplace tasks more fun, Dr. Grande!

Yes, disappearances, while quite sad, are indeed fascinating. I've been following up on several like Bryce Laspisa (CA), Jason Landry (TX), Daniel Robinson (AZ), and Macin Smith (UT).
Thank you, doc. I hate missing person cases because they're so frustrating. But watch them anyway, sometimes, because I am convinced these type of cases are the closest aproximation to what police work is really like, in incapsulated or concentrated form. Give me cases that are neatly wrapped up with a pretty little bow in 60 minutes or less, anytime. That aside, I found your presentation well done, as usual. In part, because of the CTV footage. I have found cases in which video, or a series of them, are the key to cracking a case, are a new favorite of mine. Because they are so visual. Making them quite engrossing, and involving. They almost make me feel like I am a dectective too, while watching the real life ones GET THIER MAN! This heartbreaking case, of course, has no real ending, so far. I for one, am convinced "Davohnte's Girlfriend" does indeed know something more. I hope his family receives closure one day soon, and may poor Davohnte rest in peace.

I swear Dr Grande must watch the same tv programs that I do and listen to the same podcasts because every time I hear about a case that’s new to me I will see that he’s posted about that case not long after. It’s happened over and over again. I just saw this case on tv not too long ago and was interested because I live just a few hours away from Mt Shasta and thought it was crazy that I didn’t hear about this when it happened.
I hope he’s found. I suspect #1 too - that wilderness is VAST & unforgiving - there are weirdos about for sure - but also a lot of wildlife & physical danger - just 2 min out of town. I wonder if her odd behavior was about hallucinatory drugs - pretty common there,… ayahuasca, for example? Why did she want to go again? My parents baptized me in Mount Shasta. My dad was a minister in the universal life church, and it was 1978 ☮️ Against all odds, I’m.not a crystal cruncher, and they’re not either actually. what they saw as “the movement” took a sharp right turn off a dirt road -somewhere in the wilderness…
I can't imagine the Heartache his Family is suffering! It's so hard to understand how he disappeared, with so many cameras. Everytime a Significant Other vanishes, they were either arguing, or left with someone else. Same excuse. 💔💔💔💔🙏🙏🙏🙏

“ ….the home of the alien lizard people, I guess that’s where they go when they are not spending time in Hollywood or Washing DC.” That’s too funny 😂 Intriguing case, thank you for reviewing it Dr. Grande.❤
The mailman probably mentioned the apartment complex as a correction to what Davohnte was saying, or an addition. His answer for example being 'no, you probably mean the apartment complex', and not knowing whether Davohnte asked because he was searching for the motel., or other reasons like having the building as a navigation for finding that street. Or in case of an addition that the mailman spontaneously made, without a certain reason.' He could have said: no, there's an apartment complex but not a motel'.
Right? If someone tells you they're looking for something on a specific street, you just mention something that's on that street. Would be weird to know the street you are looking for, but not the name of your motel.
I think he did the loop, finally found his way back to find her cheating in the motel and dahvonhte probably attacked the guy to the point that the other guy had to kill him and her and the guy took the 2 days of not reporting this to figure out the cover up of any evidence.
Dr Grande Please!!! Can you analyze the case of: Dana Plato’s final interview with Howard Stern? It’s the most bizarre interaction I’ve ever seen in an interview, it feels fake however- it’s apparently real? Also- Howard’s behavior is very similar to what Russel Brand is being accused of.
So let me get this straight they are exempt from that??? BS It is very easy to get lost up in that area. All he had to do was go a mile out of the town. That coupled with his disorientation very much made this outcome a possibility
I believe that Mt. Shasta is 6 instead of 5 hours from SF. Until they reached I-5 and headed north, traffic is bad and slow. Maybe that's not much difference, because both 5 and 6 hours are a very long trip for just an overnight. Perhaps they had a specific reason for going there, rather than sightseeing, and this reason is related to his disappearance. Perhaps I misunderstood, but it seemed that he didn't know the name of his motel. If so, that is quite disoriented. It is peculiar, he seemed pretty relaxed walking around, and Mt. Shasta is a bit on the hippy side, not really weirdly racist. Were the flip flops the only shoe he packed? If not, they're an odd choice for a long trek. I think there are some missing facts, and they might make his disappearance make more sense.
Do you know how many people disappear every year? It's about 600,000. Every year. Some years have over a million. Just in the US. A huge chunk are people in national parks. This doesn't count people who's bodies are found later. It's very strange. With everyone having GPS in their phones, you'd think they could use that, but people's GPS signal disappear, too.
Right? It seems so unlikely to even be possible in today's constant camera. But the amount of ppl who really do go missing still is just unbelieveable!
Would love to hear your thoughts on the other missing persons on the mountain of Mt. Shasta, as well as the Robot Granny story associated with the mountain.

It seems obvious that the guy acting disoriented is what led the mailman to conclude the guy was talking trying to convey that he was looking for an apartment building, since he was specific about the street and general about the building. Both places are large buildings where several people rent rooms.
I don't know why you're putting New Age in quotes as if it doesn't exist, but essential it's the belief that everything - every *thing*, is part of a larger whole.
@DavidDeeble OK. So what is wrong with that? And what does that even mean? I think a lot of people put fear onto certain words and make those words have some kind of power without even being able to define it.
Dr. Todd, you should consider doing a tour where you do your thing. I think people would love to see you live. Maybe you could talk about local incidents in the areas they happened in.
Let’s take a second to think about a few things: 1. Why did they travel 5 hours to Mt. Shasta to sleep at a motel for one day? Does that make sense? When you search Mt. Shasta, 99% of the results are regarding the mountain itself. The “town” is really just small shops for the tourists who are visiting the mountain. Why were they in town if they weren’t climbing the mountain? Surely they could’ve found a motel closer than 5 hours away. Unless there was another secret reason she brought him there 2. Her hidden identity is the root of all the confusion. All that’s known is she was into new age spirituality. Has she been to Mt. Shasta before? Did she know anyone in Mt. Shasta on the day that they were there? I think she did 3. Is it a mere coincidence she traveled 5 hours to sleep at a cheap motel for one night, only to break up with him on that same night? And that she would later lie about the last time she spoke to him, and then wait days to report him missing? 4. His wandering for hours, looking disoriented and asking for wrong directions are signs that he was not just walking to cool off after a fight. He was clearly in an altered state of mind, whether via drugs or some other means. Again, the woman’s lifestyle and history would provide context as to what activities they were partaking in while there, and what led him to be in this disoriented state It is clear that this is a case of premeditated murder. She set him up to be murdered in Mt. Shasta. The details are not there because her identity is hidden. No information about her associates, history or lifestyle is available to draw connections to his disappearance and that’s deliberate on her behalf

I'd love to hear your speculations as to his mindset, in part because losing a vote that many times in a row seems humiliating to enough to me- but McCarthy still wanted the job.
I'd search 'high ground' somewhere. The roof of a tall building. Or even the road enroute to a mountain. Because when disorientated he may not remeber why he needs to reach high ground (to see the motel) and so could just head for high places, even when they are far off.

Happy Birthday! 😘🎂🍰
@@bthomson I would have said happy birthday here, also, but we bumped into each other on 3 different channels and I said it 3 times! I thought 4 would be overkill. 🤣
Then I'll say it - Happy Birthday, @Flamsterette!
Thank you again Dr. Grande 🙏
I pray they find this young man
Alive and well!
Poor Devonte had a lot of bad luck in life, and it culminated with this. Thanks, as always, Dr. Grande, for another interesting video.
I think a lot of people are unfairly blaming the girlfriend with nothing to back it up
My parents live in Mt Shasta, this is crazy hearing about it in one of your videos
I was in Mount Shasta on May 3rd-5th 2020, and I know all of the places mentioned. What if I saw him o__o
Wouldn't be hard to miss seeing a young black man in a racist town.
Wish u had, u could have helped him find his way back!
In every direction from the town of Mt Shasta there is a prolific meth problem. I wonder if his disappearance has anything to do with this. Either way sad case. 😢
I suspected mushrooms ,they can have a disorienting effect and she is New Age material.
You forgot theory #4…Bigfoot. Lol. That area has a ton of missing stories around it.
Go Sasquatch!😂
@@CalloCallayIt doesn't really matter what you call them, when they're chasing you! 😮
Thank you for the new video Dr. Grande! Can you please do an analysis of the recent fentanyl exposure at the daycare in the Bronx if you haven’t already?
Im wondering if hallucinogens were involved.
Yeah... the mailman!!😂
I think she popped him in the head.
They were both behaving like they were tripping on something.
Love your subtle sense of humor Dr Grande
The Lizard People got a lot of those folks who vanished.
Had to hold myself back from exploding from laughing in the office because I wasn't ready for the mention of the alien lizard people living in the mountain 🤣🤣 Thanks for making my workplace tasks more fun, Dr. Grande!
@quinteraquinn 👍🏾❤😊💚
A sad story hope you keep us updated. i keep his family in my prayers.😢
😂 "theyre known for murdering logic" 😂 your humor is awesome...sayin it with such a blank face adds to the humor. Thank you for another great analysis, Dr. Grande!! I hope this guy's family finds out what happened, my heart goes out to them. It has to be hard to not have complete closure bc they still don't know what happened. ❤
I love these strange disappearances stories. Thank you Dr. Grande!
I hate them( but still listen because they are so strange!) Mostly we never find out what happened and that makes me nuts!
Yes, disappearances, while quite sad, are indeed fascinating. I've been following up on several like Bryce Laspisa (CA), Jason Landry (TX), Daniel Robinson (AZ), and Macin Smith (UT).
Dude, that town was under heavy video surveillance!
I hope his family receives closure one day soon, and may poor Davohnte rest in peace.
lots of folks go missing at Mt Shasta
You mean in the mountain?
yes, Why Files has a comprehensive video on it, I suspect Lizard People@@eadweard.
On or around the mountain?
I take it you will not be wanting a crystal from Santa this year then
I bought a bunch of crystals once and carried one around that was supposed to help vertigo...... after a week my daughters had some pretty stones to add to their geode collections lol
My dad was a minister in the universal life church, and it was 1978 ☮️
Against all odds, I’m.not a crystal cruncher, and they’re not either actually. what they saw as “the movement” took a sharp right turn off a dirt road -somewhere in the wilderness…
“She’s a life coach, so she has to be smart” is equal to “he’s a good bowler, so he has to be athletic”
🌆, Dr. Grande! I hope doing well! As always, I appreciate hearing your thoughts, and opinions. I always learn from you! Thank You!
Thank you for covering this case Dr. Grande. Praying for closure for the family
I can't imagine the Heartache his Family is suffering! It's so hard to understand how he disappeared, with so many cameras. Everytime a Significant Other vanishes, they were either arguing, or left with someone else. Same excuse. 💔💔💔💔🙏🙏🙏🙏
I wonder if Dr. Grande will ever do a video where he actually diagnoses someone in a video rather than speculating about a situation that could be happening like this one 😞
“ ….the home of the alien lizard people, I guess that’s where they go when they are not spending time in Hollywood or Washing DC.” That’s too funny 😂
Intriguing case, thank you for reviewing it Dr.
Or he hates tourists and told him the wrong direction on purpose.
I think he did the loop, finally found his way back to find her cheating in the motel and dahvonhte probably attacked the guy to the point that the other guy had to kill him and her and the guy took the 2 days of not reporting this to figure out the cover up of any evidence.
She reported him missing right away however they did not make a police report until 2 days later.
Crystal attack probably wouldn’t work unless you charge it in the moonlight first.
"That's where the lizard people go when not hanging out in Hollywood or DC" LMAO 🤣
Good one Dr Grande about where the lizard people spend their down time! 😂😂😂😃👍👍
How about a theory that he is still alive? But in a different area ?
He glitched into a new dimension 😂
Black people do not "wander" into the wilderness. Let's go on to the next theory 😂
Period...😅
he made the decision to walk away they would have found him if he did alive or dead
lol. So true! 🤣
@@johnmike121do you mean “if he made the decision” ?
Sad :( How can someone just disappear in today’s age?
Do you know how many people disappear every year? It's about 600,000. Every year. Some years have over a million. Just in the US. A huge chunk are people in national parks. This doesn't count people who's bodies are found later. It's very strange. With everyone having GPS in their phones, you'd think they could use that, but people's GPS signal disappear, too.
Right? It seems so unlikely to even be possible in today's constant camera. But the amount of ppl who really do go missing still is just unbelieveable!
And scary and sad!

Would love to hear your thoughts on the other missing persons on the mountain of Mt. Shasta, as well as the Robot Granny story associated with the mountain.
They argued several hours- just because she was annoyed that he woke her up? How do you argue about that more than a few minutes?
Davohnte sounds like such a good person! And then, he gets shot by mistake??!! Horrible!💔,💔💔💔
Very interesting. Thank you!
Just a reminder, I'm not diagnosing anybody in this video; only speculating about how living plants die off after putting up black-out curtains like this.
Hey BZ. 👋 How you doing? That's funny. Watching yesterday's video I was wondering where all Dr. G'S live cacti went. Maybe they went new age and headed off to Rehoboth Beach in Delaware searching for the meaning of light! They need more light! 🤣
LD - Howdy! I'm sure the cacti are in a lovely south facing window with just the right amount of water ( not too much) 🌵🌵🌵
@@bthomson Hey B! Great to see you! 🥰 You're right, I'm sure Dr.G might have placed them in the solarium or on a window sill. I'd still like it if they made an appearance once in a while. I miss them! 😢🤣🌵🌵
@@LDiamondz Hi there! As far as I know, Dr Grande has yet to give us an update on the Real Live Cactus situation. I guess that the cacti didn't survive the recent move. As I recall I did spot a living cactus in Dr Grande's short about halloween decorations. Good to hear from you LD !!
It seems obvious that the guy acting disoriented is what led the mailman to conclude the guy was talking trying to convey that he was looking for an apartment building, since he was specific about the street and general about the building. Both places are large buildings where several people rent rooms.
I watch the show "disappeared" and everytime i watch the show, Grande post about the same story lol.
Dr Grande please do a video on the Oprah and The Rock backlash
The fact that he was in a romantic relationship with a person with new age beliefs suggests he also had poor judgement.
Not to mention old enough to be his mum
What are "New Age" beliefs?
I don't know why you're putting New Age in quotes as if it doesn't exist, but essential it's the belief that everything - every *thing*, is part of a larger whole.
@@DavidDeeble I mean it is. Don't have to believe in New Age ideology to know that.
@DavidDeeble OK. So what is wrong with that? And what does that even mean? I think a lot of people put fear onto certain words and make those words have some kind of power without even being able to define it.
Sounds like a sacrifice... cougar set him up
Regular people come to the Bay Area to have new age experiences. Bay Area people go to Mt Shasta.
Dr. Todd, you should consider doing a tour where you do your thing. I think people would love to see you live. Maybe you could talk about local incidents in the areas they happened in.
Choose Prescott AZ! I'd definitely go!
And it's a beautiful town!
He is disabled and busy
Let’s take a second to think about a few things:
1. Unless there was another secret reason she brought him there
2. Her hidden identity is the root of all the confusion. All that’s known is she was into new age spirituality. Has she been to Mt. Shasta before? Did she know anyone in Mt. Shasta on the day that they were there? I think she did
Again, the woman’s lifestyle and history would provide context as to what activities they were partaking in while there, and what led him to be in this disoriented state
It is clear that this is a case of premeditated murder. She set him up to be murdered in Mt. Shasta. The details are not there because her identity is hidden. No information about her associates, history or lifestyle is available to draw connections to his disappearance and that’s deliberate on her behalf
Mount Shasta is the root chakra. "The root chakra's duty is to connect your energy with the Earth, also known as grounding, which is what Mt. Shasta helps do for us."
And the 2 officers in town will never investigate enough
It is "clear" that it's premeditated? Are you insane? You don't say things like that with such little information. BTW I live close to Mt Shasta. People visit all the time and they do not climb the mountain. Your theory is ridiculous and slanderous.
@@lazydaisy2292 “Slander” is spoken. I suspect the word you want is “libelous”. Except how could any comments be libelous when the person allegedly being defamed is anonymous??? ✌🏽
This is going to break my heart I know.
Sounds like they were doing drugs in that Town and he wandered off on an overdose.
Yea, trying to hook him up. Blk know for selling and buying
Sounds like the girlfriend would be a prime suspect. Why doesn't the family get a private investigator and do a search.
They did. The PI found out that all the mobile information of Davonthe were deleted a day after his missing. And that the girlfriend lied about multipule things. The private investigator believed that the girlfriend was involved in his missing.
Dude, that town was heavy video surveillance!
I remember this story. Sheesh! What's with these "kids" messing around with these much elder women, it's like they are looking for a 2nd mother or something.

Thankyou for pronouncing Shasta right. The way Mr. Ballen and the dude from the Lore Lodge said it had me yelling at my phone.
I'm watching the episode of Disappeared now and I am actually DISGUSTED with the behaviour of Mt Shasta PD. All I can hear is 'we didn't feel it was important to search the river." Are you kidding me????? You sent one cop out there to look for Davohnte. What planet do that PD live on? Clearly not earth. We didn't think it was important to search here, search there etc etc absolutely disgraceful!!!!!! I never ever speak up and write these sorts of things because I hate confrontation and all, but after watching that episode... there's a fire burning and I just had to.

So sad😢
Wow, she really went above and beyond for a life coach. Normally they just kill people financially.
I'm curious as to your take on Kevin McCarthy, and the lose-lose position in which he seems to find himself. With the Sword of Damocles dangling over him, how does he feel about his job? I'd love to hear your speculations as to his mindset, in part because losing a vote that many times in a row seems humiliating to enough to me- but McCarthy still wanted the job.
The girlfriend is suspect.
White town
I'd search 'high ground' somewhere. The roof of a tall building. Or even the road enroute to a mountain. Because when disorientated he may not remeber why he needs to reach high ground (to see the motel) and so could just head for high places, even when they are far off.
I just watched this on the new DISAPPEARED episode . So sad. Definitely foul play. By either GF or a local .
I'm scared to drive solo in an unknown town let alone walk around in one. Hopefully the truth will come out one day.
Please keep our family in your prayers . This was the hardest thing we have ever had to deal with 🙏🏾
Please do a video introducing us to you're doggos. I see them and they are such cute little guys or gals. ❤
This sounds like another case where the husband goes for a walk and disappears. Unless I’m mistaken.
Edit: The other case is Tyler Davis, went missing in Columbus Ohio in 2020. Took a walk, got lost, never returned to the hotel where wife and friend were staying. He was Caucasian.
These two cases are almost identical except Davis had a phone and authorities say he was using GPS to find the hotel.
