- I was travelling from Liberia to Ivory Coast by Land Border Crossing and had very Bad Experience in Africa. Many people Harassed me and Demanded Money from me in Dollars. They also Chased me on Motorbike out of nowhere.

Many people dislike being filmed without their permission.Walking around any big city with an expensive camera/ smartphone in your hand is asking for trouble,especially in a poor neighbourhood.

sorry about your experience mate, i'm from Africa and i feel bad for ya. That being said, if you come down here to South Africa, you'd be ok in any big city. I recommend Cape Town if you haven't already done. I was brought up here but i Live in Montréal Canada. I just got back here to open an Non-for-profit organization but i'll be back in Montreal next year. If you plan to come in Canada next year, I've got you covered.

I personally feel heroic and stupidity goes hand in hand, it's good to explore new places but travelling alone to such isolated and shady places without a hint of the local language is not worth it at all when these people could have easily robbed you off.

Visited Uganda in 2004. Expected something different but turned out totally different. People are very friendly in Uganda. Almost every one you come across will wish you. My impression of Africa totally changed after that.
